Dr. Joe Dankey is a native of South Dakota and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Zoology from the University of South Dakota. His dental training was at Loyola University School of Dentistry, Chicago, Illinois. After graduation from dental school, Dr. Dankey and his family were assigned to SHAPE(Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe) Belgium.
Dr. Dankey returned to the University of Missouri Kansas City and completed his specialty training in orthodontics. He then opened and has maintained an orthodontic practice for over twenty-five years in Broomfield, Colorado. Dr. Dankey is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Dankey and his wife Carol are active members in the local community and their children Michele, Jeff, and Maria graduated from Broomfield High School.
Dr. Dankey provides a full range of orthodontic services for adults and children. As the concepts of orthodontics continues to evolve, his focus remains on individual analysis of each patient and a customized treatment plan. Dr. Dankey emphasizes the non-removal of teeth and utilizes early arch development, which facilitates the non-extraction concept.
Adult patients are always welcome for either very limited treatment including Invisalign or more comprehensive treatment of all the permanent dentition with either Invisalign or traditional appliances. Dr. Dankey has a strong background in splint therapy for patients experiencing jaw joint dysfunction and associated facial pain.
The Dankey family has a diverse interest in recreational activities including: Skiing, gardening, bicycling and jogging. Dr. Dankey maintains a strong interest in bicycling and participated three years in Ride the Rockies.
He is an active member of the Boulder County Dental Society, Colorado Orthodontics Association, Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontics, American Association of Orthodontics, American Board of Orthodontics, and the Broomfield Rotary. He has held offices in several of these organizations.
Dr. Dankey and Carol founded the Broomfield Poster Contest where Broomfield artists were given the opportunity to compete in an original art contest and the winning piece was displayed as a poster and sold at Broomfield Days.
Rene is a Colorado native who was born in Boulder. Renes immediate family includes her two brothers Ruben and Matthew. Rene and her husband Matthew have two beautiful daughters Madison and Marissa. The have a very active chocolate lab named Suds. Rene enjoys traveling, rafting, camping, and spending time with friends and family.
Faye has been with us since 2010 and an assistant for 11 years. Originally from Omaha. Faye and her husband moved to Denver 21 years ago. They have 2 children and enjoy going camping, hiking and exploring in the mountains during the summers
Cindy is a Colorado native who grew up in Westminster, CO. Cindy and her husband Mike have two wonderful daughters who are happily married, two darling granddaughters and Miss Roxie her spoiled little four legged girl. Favorite activities are camping, water skiing and traveling with her family. Cindy has been in orthodontics since 1991 and joined Dr. Dankeys team in Jan. 2011.
Bette is a native of Iowa and has been married to Alan for a really long time. They have four fabulous children Chad, Ryan, Clint and Audra. Chad and his wife Becky have three darling little boys Corbin, Kolby and Kyler. Bette visits them often in Nebraska. Bette enjoys volunteering at Nativity of Our Lord Church, reading, and bargain hunting. She also is a HUGE Green Bay Packer Fan, having lived near Lambeau Field for several years as a child. Bette is the biggest Elvis Groupie you will ever meet!!! Bettes previous work experiences include medical receptionist and behavioral health claims administration. She joined Dr. Dankeys team in January 2001.

Our experience at Dr. Dankey's office far surpassed our experiences at other local orthodontic offices. Everyone at his office is friendly and welcoming and Dr. Dankey always took time to keep us informed. We would highly recommend his office for orthodontic care!

I highly recommend Dr. Dankey! It was a pleasure working with him and his team for my daughter's braces. He always made sure my daughter and I knew what to expect. He and his team were always kind and upbeat. They always made sure that adjustments/wires/etc were comfortable for her, and seemed truly concerned that we had a positve experience. On the rare occasion that minor issues arose (like rubbing on her lip or loose wires), we never had a problem coming in for an unplanned appointment. They made time and seemed happy to help!

Dr D is so awesome!!!! He is very particular at every appointment- his assistants are great and know what they are doing, as the gals up Front . At 55 , they celebrate with me , that you are never to old to have a great smile. Thanks again guys Sandra Baker

Doctor Dankey and his staff are absolutely wonderful - I could not recommend them more! They are always extremely accommodating, go above and beyond to get the job done right, and everyone in the office treats you like family. I really don't have enough great things to say about Doctor Dankey and his team! True professionals are hard to come by, and I couldn't imagine having gone anywhere else for orthodontic work. A+ all the way. Keep up the great work, guys!

I am an adult and wear invisaligns. They are making such an amazing difference in my smile. Even though I had to get a tooth extracted, with Dr Danky's expertise invisaligns were able to straighten my teeth and close the extraction gap. I'm still wearing invisaligns because we also want an orthodontic correction for my bite. I've received great and thorough treatment. The staff are friendly. Both of my kids have seen Dr Danky for regular braces. The kids and I are getting great smiles and orthodontic alignment that helps keep teeth healthy for a lifetime!
