Brookside Orthodontics is a Stockton-based family orthodontist practice that treats patients of all ages. Dr. Parker has been practicing orthodontics is Stockton for over 24 years. He completed his undergraduate degree at UC San Diego, dental degree at UC San Francisco and his masters in orthodontics at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Parker is married to Susie, a nurse, and together they have 5 adult children. Dr. Parker enjoys fly fishing and golf. He is driven to provide the best care for each patient after careful consideration of their goals.
Denise has been an orthodontic assistant for 15 years and has been working in dentistry for 30 years. She is married with one grown daughter. She and her husband, Matthew, enjoy camping, fishing and gardening. She also has three other 'babies', her dogs that she dotes on.
Jeannie has over 35 years of experience working in the dental field including general dentistry, oral surgery, and orthodontics. She enjoys meeting new patients and their families and helping them begin their journey to a beautiful smile. In her spare time, her and her husband, Russ, love to travel, spend time with their children and grandchildren, and catch an Oakland As game when possible.
Danel has been in orthodontics for over 20 years. She has two teenage sons and two french bulldogs. She enjoys paddle boarding and going to baseball games, her favorite team is the San Francisco Giants. She loves creating beautiful smiles and values the confidence that orthodontics gives to our patients.
Britney has three nephews and one niece whom she loves spending time with. She is a big fan of The Office, Gilmore Girls, and the Marvel Universe. She enjoys the conversations she has with everyone who comes into the office and values the relationships she builds with the patients.

We understand that while many adults and teenagers want to straighten their teeth, they do not want to do so in the traditional fashion. Metal braces are an effective tool for straightening teeth and have been used by orthodontists for decades. The procedure works by placing a metal bracket onto the surface of each tooth and running a wire through those brackets. It is impossible not to notice when someone is wearing traditional metal braces. While the treatment works, it can also negatively impact a person's appearance in the process. Thus, we provide clear braces as a better option for our patients.
Clear Braces vs. Metal BracesAt Brookside Orthodontics, we offer clear braces for adults and teens living in the local area. Dr. Parker can straighten teeth and move them into the perfect position so that every patient has a beautiful, radiant and straight smile. Whether you have teeth that are crooked, unsightly gaps between your teeth or a misaligned bite clear braces can help to correct these issues.Clear braces work just as effectively as metal braces, but with some improvements. Clear braces are nearly invisible, making them ideal for busy professionals, teens, and adults that do not want this process to negatively impact their current appearance.
There are several types of clear braces to choose from. One operates similarly to traditional metal braces where a bracket is placed onto each tooth, and a wire is threaded between them. The difference is that instead of being made out of metal, the brackets are made out of tooth-colored resin that blends in with the natural tooth. Since the wire is tooth-colored, the braces themselves are virtually invisible and difficult to see. This solution works well for adults who are able to keep their braces clean. Otherwise, the brackets can become stained. The solution is an excellent alternative to traditional braces and is just as effective at addressing all orthodontic concerns.
Clear braces also come in the form of aligners. Clear aligners look like a full retainer that surrounds the teeth. The patient wears the aligner on the upper and lower teeth. Aligners are more convenient to wear than metal braces because they come out. One of the major concerns that people have with wearing braces is that they do not come off. If for example, you get braces then decide to get married, you would either have braces in your wedding pictures or need to pay to have them removed. Following the wedding, you would need to pay for the reinstallation. Both are inconvenient. Simultaneously, if you have a big presentation at work and want to impress a client, your braces cannot come off for the meeting. This leaves many adults apprehensive about committing to a two-year treatment plan. We understand that appearance is important for more than vanity. It impacts your ability to create a professional image and retain your own self-image. Teen Braces and Adult BracesAt our office, we treat both teens and adults with the necessary methods. Many patients are unaware that teens and adults can typically benefit from similar treatment options. Since teenagers have all of their adult teeth, it is possible for use to install clear braces. However, since a childs jaw is not done growing, we typically need to use metal braces for the child. The main difference between clear aligners for teens and adults is that teens may need to use their aligners for a longer period of time. With such a busy schedule, we expect teens to remove their aligners more frequently to do things like play sports.

I went to a few different offices before choosing Dr. Parker at Brookside Orthodontics. It's such a pleasure to deal with a non-chain and feel like you are getting personal attention. Everyone was very nice, and I truly felt like I understood the treatment plan and they gave me a great payment plan that works for me. Though I've just started, my teeth are already looking a lot better!

I spent a lot of time researching offices in Stockton before deciding on this office. It was the only office, after three consultations, that I felt valued my time, didn't feel high-pressure and gave me confidence I was going to have a great result and a great experience. Every other place felt like a cookie-cutter product... but Dr. Parker and his staff seemed to have such a warm and genuine way that I felt at ease. It was also very confidence-building to see so many happy patients being greeted by name! So excited to see my final result!!!

I am very compelled to write a review (my first!) for Brookside Orthodontics on Deer Park Drive because the entire experience was so positive! I took my daughter in 14 months ago for our first consultation and she had her braces removed last week. Her smile is ABSOLUTELY radiant and her self-confidence has sky-rocketed. It really has been life-changing for her. I want to thank the office staff for being so easy to work with and so gentle and encouraging every step of the way. And a most special thank you to Dr Parker, who never made me feel like any question I asked was silly, made us feel like he always had time for us and gave my daughter the smile she so deserved. I'm certain when it's her younger sisters turn, we will see you again.

Dr Parker and his staff are unbelievably nice!!! I had a great experience from the moment I went in to take my son for braces. Everything was explained, and laid out so there would be no surprises. I appreciate doing business like that. On top of it all, was very affordable. I live in Sacramento and drive to Stockton. That has to tell you something

The NICEST office staff ever! So diligent in helping me figure out what my insurance will cover and making sure I get the most bang for my buck. And Dr. Parker was professional and kind. He made sure I knew exactly what my son needed. Lovely atmosphere and lovely people. 5 STARS FOR SURE!
