A South Sound native, Dr. Jamie is deeply invested in Tacoma. Since opening her studio in 2008, she has built relationships around the city by supporting artists and small business owners and helping community members reach their oral health goals. Youll regularly find her out and about walking her three rescue dogs, bell-ringing for the Salvation Army with Rotary 8, or tending to Little Free Libraries around town. Jamie enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, cooking, reading, and doing yoga.

Jamies diligence and attention as a dentist are in her lineage. Growing up with a father who was a practicing dentist, she became familiar with the trade as a young child. Jamie now views her father as a model for excellence in the field and they continue to work together at Brooks Dental Studio where he assists in appliance-making and model work.

Jamie earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington in 1999. She worked as a practicing hygienist for eight years prior to her doctorate, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the Oregon Health & Science University in 1991. She continues her dentistry studies at the L.D. Pankey Institute and Spear Education, two cornerstones of the dental profession, and participates in multiple dental study clubs that focus on clinical, behavioral, and leadership skills.

  • 'Jamie pays personal attention to the health and well-being of every single patient, and you can tell she treats her team well also. You don 't feel like you 're one of the many other people they need to get in and out of the chair that day -- they actually take time to focus on YOU and your personalized care.' Haley Anthony

Jamie is a lifelong Tacoma-area resident, as well as a second-generation dental practitioner: her dad, a former dentist himself, now works in appliance and model-making at Brooks. Jamie is deeply committed to the Tacoma community, and can often be found volunteering around town, walking with her three rescue dogs, or spending quality time with her husband and three children.

I honestly feel that I help people live longer, and live a healthier life. Dental goals sounds ordinary, but I really do believe that asking people to make goals around their wellbeing will help them realize they have the tools to work on their health, and that it often doesnt have to be complicated. And where they do need extra help--thats why were here!

Brenda facilitates communication between patients and the Brooks team, providing support in all aspects of the patient experience, from care to finances and insurance. Her positivity and patience create a warm environment in which to answer any and all questions!

A lifelong Pacific Northwesterner, Brenda lives in the Gig Harbor area with her husband and son. Shes passionate about connecting with others, and when not at Brooks can be found volunteering with the American Cancer Society or tackling projects around the house to better gather with friends and family. Brenda is an active member of Tacoma Rotary 8, focusing much of her energy on their literacy program.

Miriam has over 40 years of experience as a dental assistant in general dentistry, endodontics and periodontics. We are so lucky to have her steadfast presence at our studio as she gently guides our patients through all aspects of their care from start to finish. Miriam is the perfect combination of empathetic, friendly and efficient. You may recognize her smiling face as Dr. Kuritani's right -hand gal for over 30 years if you've had the pleasure of visiting their office in Old Town over the years.

Miriam's cherishes her family time. She and Brent, her husband of 26 years, have two grown children, a 4 year-old granddaughter, a sweet English Springer Spaniel named Daisy and 'buff & white tabby' cat named Ginny. Miriam plays the fiddle and is a member of the Olympia String Band. She also enjoys contra dancing, reading, home improvement projects and taking walks.

Growing up in the Gig Harbor area, I love calling the Pacific Northwest my home, and working in my home town communities. While completing my degree in kinesiology from Western Washington University, I found my passion for dentistry. During the time, I underwent dental implant surgery with the University of Washington and was fortunate to intern with a local dentist. Both experiences were immensely intriguing, experiencing dentistry as a patient and providing care. My journey began! In 2015, I graduated dental hygiene school and my love for the profession continues to grow and expand. My most recent training, focusing on myofunctional therapy, will allow me to even further improve your oral and overall heath.

Outside of the office, Bri enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading, and running. Keeping active, nutrition, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle are a second passion of Bris. Her most recent adventures include hiking and trail running through our pristine mountains and forests, finding alpine lakes, or chasing after peaks.
