Susan Liebman, DMD, is a board-certified orthodontist at Brooklyn Heights Orthodontics in Brooklyn Heights, New York City. Her love of changing patients smiles and oral health for the better began as a child when she would help her father in his work as an orthodontist. She brings the same enthusiasm to work each day in Brooklyn Heights, forming relationships with her patients as she guides them through treatments with braces, Invisalign, palate expanders, and more.
After growing up around orthodontics, Dr. Liebman attended Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey graduating cum laude with a degree in Biology and a certificate for Science in Human Affairs. She then went on to receive her DMD from Fairleigh Dickinson School of Dentistry in Teaneck, New Jersey, where she graduated top of her class, earning the award for Exceptional Interest in the Oro-facial complex granted by the American Association of Orthodontists and was inducted into OKU Honorary Dental Society.
She then went on to continue her postgraduate education at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in New York City, earning a certificate in orthodontics in 1988 and was asked to return to teach as a clinical instructor and went on to become the first female president of the Orthodontic Alumni Society of Columbia University.
Always a learning enthusiast, Dr. Liebman continues to learn about, stay on top of, and incorporate the latest developments in her field through memberships with the American Association of Orthodontists, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, the Second District Dental Society, the Brooklyn Dental Study Group, and has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics since 2001.
Throughout her more than 25 years as an orthodontist, Dr. Liebman has lectured to various study clubs and dental societies, presided and volunteered at the Greater New York Dental Meeting, and has been an attending at Long Island College Hospital and Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn. She is an active participant in the Dental health Outreach programs to children in her area and a participant in the 9-11 fund, anti-bullying campaigns, and OneLove foundation.
At Brooklyn Heights Orthodontics, Dr. Liebman brings compassion and empathy to her patients, listening intently to develop personalized treatment approaches with their needs and goals in mind. When she is not practicing orthodontics she can be found exploring the city where she grew up in with her two children, husband, cat and dog.

Dr. Liebman is just terrific. She is caring, patient, and professional. I brought my kids to her and she was so great with them that I went to her when I needed some work myself. 6/5!

This has been a great dental experience. Even before you meet the Doctor, the welcoming and very professional staff could not have been more helpful. Furthermore Dr. L is terrific. She listens to all of your concerns and effortlessly resolves your issues. I could not have been happier with my treatment.

Friendly staff, quick wait/appointment times/ effective work. Braces or Invisalign, quick and effective plans, budget friendly as well. Highly recommended.finished my braces in the allotted time and teeth look good.

GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH ORTHODONTICS LIEBMAN. I CANT WAIT TO GET MY BRACES IN FEBRUARY. A LONG TIME DREAM FINALLY COMING TRUE. IM HAPPY TO BE DOING IT WITH THIS OFFICE. I loved the professionalism and follow up. Both the front office and back office took the time to explain not only the process of work needed, but the financial breakdown. I don't feel like I'll get any surprises, on either end.

Dr. Liebman is a gem and truly fantastic practitioner. I can't recommend her enough for trustworthy and high quality pediatric orthodontist work. I rarely take time to write online reviews but Dr. Liebman is worth it. She's so good and you should know it.

I was looking forward to this appointment. Arrived a few minutes early. Waited over 20 minutes only to be seen for 10 minutes and given a paper with the total cost and different payment arrangements. I'm sure she's a great doctor but the visit was informal and rushed. I thought I would at least get some x-rays done, but they only do so once you are willing to start the treatment. If I consider spending over $6,000 for treatment I hope all the office visits are not this.
