I spent some time reading reviews on this place, and turns out it is true the office staff is rude, short and could care less. I was turned off the second she answered the phone and rudely interrupted me to answer another call while I was talking. To the surgeons in the room, you may want to address this issue because you are losing business. You surely lost mine and it would have been a good paying gig as I need allot of work done. To the receptionists, you should learn simple basic social skills and treat people and their time with respect.

After experiencing unpleasant front desk service at Dr. Romsa's Brookyn Heights office - I received a wonderful follow up call from him extending his apology and offer to see me at my earliest convenience. This virtue showed me that Dr. Romsa cares about his clientele and is not afraid to take on challenges that can potentially hurt his business. His professionalism through his actions - is why I decided to return to see him again. I'd like to thank his wonderful staff at his Sheepshead Bay office for making me feel very special during my return visit. This is the type of service each patient should receive. Thank you Dr. Romsa!!

Read Yelp & Google reviews but thought I could work through the reports of rude front desk personnel in favor of the reviews of seemingly competent oral surgeons. Based on those reviews, I tried to get an appt with Dr. Gefon for my brother (who has some cognitive challenges) whom I care for and am his health proxy. Unfortunately, Dr Gefon does not work on Fridays. My brother was scheduled with Dr. Romsa. My brother was referred for quite a few extractions and was incredibly nervous. He was accompanied by his nurse aide. Dr. Romsa entered and re-entered the room without an introduction or a smile. I asked to speak with him via brother's cell phone to talk about my brother's nervousness in hopes that the Dr. would help to calm him with a warm introduction. I also wanted to know what would be the plan for the day. Dr. Romsa was very rude and dismissive and brusquely demanded to know my brother's medical conditions ("None" as the completed paperwork attested) and to know why he could not speak for himself (from a professional who refused to use any introductory or cordial words). Were we too brown? The "Good" Dr. left the room rudely and abruptly and promptly went to work on the next patient - whereupon I quickly decided that no one who presented themselves with such unprovoked antagonism would be yanking several teeth out of my beloved's head. The office staff were the least of my worries and proved to be ok once you showed them overt kindness first. A waste of a planned day but very glad about our decision to pass on this doctor/ this place. *My brother who doesn't speak much and NEVER speaks ill of people confirmed that decision : "the reason why we didn't "let him take out (my) teeth was that he was very mean". Added note: As answered on check-in paperwork, My brother has no "medical" conditions and is in very good to outstanding medical health. He is kind/ mild-mannered and follows directions when they are clearly provided. The doctor's rudeness and refusal to have a clarifying discussion had nothing to do with concern for patient's safety.

I was referred to this dental surgery to see Dr. Romsa for a wisdom tooth extraction today but had to politely walked out after receiving one of the rudest responses to the question "how much longer will I have to wait to see Dr. Romsa". I'm thinking that question may have triggered one of the 2 front desk staff who's response was so egregious and unprofessional it didn't warrant a response - only a dismissal. It's unfortunate that Dr. Romsa will continue to lose patients at a high rate because many people will not subjected themselves to bad treatment from any medical establishment when there are other options. Customer service is everything in healthcare and if providers don't focus on that it'll affect their clientele and cost them money. I've spread the word about this place. I just took my business elsewhere.

I have know Dr. Zats for years as I've worked very closely with him regarding my own patients (I am a dentist in Boerum Hill myself). I know him to be a top notch surgeon. And though I've interacted with dr. Bradley Romsa for a shorter time, I've come to respect him greatly as an oral surgeon. I recently received some treatment from Dr. Romsa that was not only painless, but also kept me comfortable, answering any questions along the way. I whole heartedly recommend my patients to drs. Zats & Romsa, Tokar and Gefon with my eyes closed. Cannot recommend their practice highly enough.

Whoever runs the front desk and takes calls is incredibly rude. I called to make an appointment via referral and she kept speeding through the process, talking over me, and being short. I trust the dentists themselves are great, but she has inspired me to look at other options.

I had a last minute consultation, and both the staff and Dr. Romsa were extremely accommodating and thorough. I fully intend to go back for any future needs, and would recommend Brooklyn Heights Oral Surgery/Dr. Romsa to anyone.

I wish I had something positive but the service is mediocre. I'm coming from my dentist as a recommendation. I called to get an estimation of an extraction of wisdom tooth. The woman on the phone clearly said I have to come in to get an estimation because she doesn't know how much is my co pay. I said are you sure? During Covid I have to come in just for an estimation? She said yes. Two days later I show up today Friday and the blonde lady at the front desk face when I entered the office was more than baffled to the point I asked if everything was ok she said yes I'm not expecting anyone what is it for? Great welcome it makes me want to come back already! So I explained to her while she was on her cellphone that I just wanted an estimation she said you have to take an appointment and be seen by the Dr for that. No one ever mentioned that over the phone but pretty sure that was the same woman. Rude and unwelcoming. I'll make sure I NEVER come back.

My dentist referred me to get a consultation to have my wisdom tooth removed. I was feeling a little anxiety since I've never had a tooth removed before. But Dr. Gefon was very welcoming, explained the issue with my wisdom tooth, as well as the pros and cons of having the procedure. He even suggested that I be put to sleep so that I wont feel any pain and it was the best decision I made. Procedure didn't take long and the after care was great. Nice clean office and very professional staff. I highly recommend Dr. Gefon.

The receptionist/front desk people are so condescending to customers it's beyond frustrating. I've called this place so many items to follow up about a referral and never hear back. There's no such thing as customer service here.

Incredibly disappointed with the services I received here. The office has terrible communication and a complete lack of follow through. I went in for a consultation and was hurried through my visit. I was told that certain steps would be taking place to continue my treatment and I have been calling for the last three months for paperwork that was promised to me. The medical system is hard enough to navigate without offices like this one contributing to the problem.

I was referred by my dentist for a consultation. I knew it involved my wisdom teeth. Dr. Gefon was the best dentist ever! I suffer with anxiety so I dont do too well at the thought of procedures. Dr. Gefon made me feel so comfortable. He gave me a thorough explanation of the oral cavity. It was recommended that I schedule an appointment to remove one of my wisdom teeth. Because I was so comfortable, I allowed him to do it that day. The staff coached and gave me support. Dr. Gefon is the way to go! Quick removal and he even gave it to me, intact. I recommend him to anyone.

I'm terrified of any dental work for some reason, and to say that I was scared having 3 impacted wisdom teeth pulled is an understatement. Dr. Zats made me feel very comfortable and explained everything thoroughly so I went in for the procedure confident I'll be in good hands. Anesthesia was a breeze and I'm relieved my teeth are out and there was no discomfort during the procedure! I was also given aftercare instructions which made it very easy to refer back to and saved me calls to the office post procedure. Thank you for the effective and pain free care! Would 100% recommend.

Had an appointment for an extraction. I waited an hour and a half to be seen. Dr. Gefon was professional and welcoming. The X-ray technician on the other hand was rude and uninviting. She never greeted me upon entering the room and threw the protection vest over my chest. Her only words to me were "open" and "put your head back". My procedure was quick and painless.
