Samera graduated with a Bachelors in Dental Surgery in 2004 from Sheffield Dental School in the UK. She moved to Philadelphia in 2005 and joined Temple University School of Dentistry as a faculty member. In 2008 she received her Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry and she started private practice in 2009.

I've been a patient here along with my family for many years and have no complaints at all. Since the new owner has been involved the facility has improved significantly, nice modern touches. Staff are always friendly and helpful and provide a warm and caring environment. No hesitation in recommending this practice to friends! Edit 11/3/22: it seems staffing is less consistent these days and therefore the quality of care is not as predictable. Front desk help still phenomenal but the hygienist staff seem to be different every time we visit.

So I wanted to add this post on to my previous post. Today I went to Brookline Dental to complete the next stage of my implant. I just wanted to make a note that Dr. Mumtaz numbed the area to access the implant and to attach the abutment to the implant post. It was a not a painful process at all. The permanent crown will be attached to the abutment in three weeks. I just wanted to make note of this because I was somebody who really was afraid of going to the dentist as a child and didn't much enjoy it as an adult either. Dr. Mumtaz is very gentle and kind. All of the people in the office make it such a good experience. Most of my family goes to Dr. Mumtaz now and a few of my friends go as well and everyone has the same feeling about the doctor and all the people in her office. I would highly recommend her to everyone who needs dental work. I have been going to Brookline Dental for a few years now. All of my experiences have been excellent. Most of my family members also go to Brookline Dental. Yesterday I had an extraction and a post put in. It was a quick procedure and I was very happy with the results because honestly I was nervous going in. I do not have any pain today or discomfort. All of the office staff and assistance as well as the dentists are the best you can get. I can't recommend this practice enough.

Dr Mumtaz and her staff are great! They are friendly, professionals, and knowledgeable. They are always on time even when they squeeze you in for urgent dental appointment and make you feel comfortable.

I have been coming to BDA for years now. The practice is professional, warm, helpful. They always strive to upgrade the experience for the patient. Sue, the receptionist/manager has been particularly helpful when it comes to scheduling, billing and informing me of an excellent dental discount option. She is always very warm and friendly. Dr. Mumtaz is an excellent dentist and has guided me through the process of dental implants in conjunction with a very good referral of an oral surgeon. I can always rely on everyone associated with BDA with confidence and fairness. I have just had a teeth cleaning with Janet. She was extremely knowledgeable, experienced and gentle. Probably the best hygienist to have cared for my teeth. A pleasure to be a patient.
