As a Georgia native, Druid Hills High School graduate and Medical College of GA Alum, Dr. Vik is proud to serve the Brookhaven community and surrounding areas. After attending MCG, where he received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD), he had the unique opportunity to work with dental cosmetic specialists throughout the city, while acquiring additional experience in general dentistry through his work with a large group practice here in Georgia. With these skills he is able to bring artistry and excellence to his everyday work. He enjoys being a general/family dentist, and creating relationships with his patients that will last for generations. Dr. Vik invites patients of all ages to join his practice.

With the goal of offering first class patient centered dental care, Dr. Vik continues to travel throughout the country, staying abreast of new dental technology and cutting edge innovations for patients. Pain management and painless dentistry are his primary practice goals.

Dr.Bhatia is focused on his patients well being and has taken important steps to ensure their safety. By implementing digital x-rays, he hopes to reduce radiation for his patients, and no longer require the use of chemicals. His dental office also uses special amalgam traps in the office to prevent the mercury in the old silver fillings removed from going into the environment.

In his personal life, he is very family oriented and enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Tasneem Bhatia (Dr. Taz) and their two children Rania and Kabir. He is passionate about serving others as a healer and lives up to the true meaning of a Doctor.

Dr. Chen strives to provide the best treatment for his patients while being gentle, patient and detail oriented. He understands that many people are nervous and anxious about going to see the dentist. This is why he provides for every patient a comfortable and relaxed experience. His career goal is to gain trust and confidence through clinical excellence and following the Golden Rule by treating others as he would want to be treated. Dr. Chen is a native of Marietta, GA. After graduating from McEachern High School, he attended Emory University and received his Bachelors of Science in Biology. He received his dental degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. After graduation, He went to practice in rural South Georgia where he has been helping the underserved community. Throughout his career, Dr. Chen has practiced all aspects of dentistry. His biggest passion is utilizing the CEREC technology, which allows for same day treatment of crowns, veneers, and onlays. He understands that it can be hard to make time to see the dentist, and tries his hardest to be efficient and serve your needs as quickly as possible.

Dr. Sunny Patel was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL and attended the University of Florida for his Bachelors in Biology. He attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry as well, and moved to Atlanta after completing his doctorate.

Dr. Patel completed extensive post doc training in comprehensive dentistry with an emphasis on implants and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Patel believes in continuing education and evidence-based dentistry to provide predictable and reliable treatment for his patients. He works very hard with to reduce anxiety for his patients and build a comfortable experience for everyone.

Dr. Patel and his wife Amisha moved to Atlanta from Florida. They love to travel and enjoy the outdoors. He grew up playing tennis, golf, and soccer. Dr. Patel still plays in ALTA leagues and local tournaments.

Deb is an irreplaceable member of our practice. She takes great pride in her team, and is always working hard to support them so that they can focus on providing high caliber patient care. When she is not in office, she loves spending time with her family.

Christine Lovett has been a part of Brookhaven Dental Associates since 2016. She exemplifies the work ethic that is set at Brookhaven Dental Associates, and has been working in the capacity of Dental Assistant expanded functions since 2004.

Karen McEntyre is our clinical director. She is an Expanded Functions Register Dental Assistant with a career that spans more than 30 years. She has diverse experience that includes general dentistry, periodontics, oral surgery, and teaching. Karen is passionate about dentistry and feels a happy patient is the highest compliment.

Christine graduated from Dental Hygiene school in 1996 from Tallahassee Community College. After working in Florida for eight years, she moved to Atlanta, Ga. Where she continued to work in the industry as a dental hygienist and part time personal trainer. In her off time she enjoys working out, riding bikes, and spending time with the love of her life Tug, her Boston Terrier.

Dr. Tho Cao joins our team from Kansas City, Missouri, but received his DMD from the College of Dental Medicine at Augusta University right here in Georgia. He is a skilled dentist, but Dr. Cao comes from a rich background of experience in many diverse fields. He has built motorcycles for Harley-Davidson, repaired computers, and even assisted a family member in opening a restaurant in Atlanta, GA. In 2008, a family friend took notice of Dr. Cao's helpful nature and skill with his hands, and suggested he go back to school for dentistry. Dr. Cao finds dentistry to be a rewarding experience that allows him to meet people from all walks of life, and enjoys helping patients attain their oral health goals. When out of office, you can find Dr. Cao enjoying the outdoors, or spending time with his wife, who he is expecting a baby with in April.

Ivy Edwards was born in Macon, GA many years ago. In 1994 he was going to Georgia State wanting to become a teacher. Then he went to the career center and saw allied health (nursing, nutrition and dental hygiene). Within months Ivy was working for a friend who was a dentist. Within a year, he had transferred to Dekalb College (now Perimeter) and applied to the dental hygiene program. He finished the program, received his degree and passed the boards in 1997.

Ivy never seriously considered any other type of work. He loves that Brookhaven Dental Associates office is modern and that the team gets along so well. He also loves living within 6 miles of the office and the weekly office outing. His favorite pastimes are walking, running, rock climbing, and light weight lifting. His favorite place is a rock that juts into the lake at Stone Mountain where he quiets his mind and thank God for lifes blessing. Ivy also loves bowling and golf (golf so he can be outside and only if no one keeps score).

Annie moved to Atlanta in February of 2019 and immediately joined the team at Brookhaven Dental Associates. She is originally from Greensboro, NC where she earned her undergrad degree at UNCG in Hospitality and Tourism management. Her background in customer service management, client communications and an affinity for problem solving has been a great fit with this practices core value of exceptional patient care. In her free time you will find her exploring her new hometowns fun spots such as Piedmont Park or the Mercedes Benz stadium for Atlanta United games.

Bonnie, a Georgia native, has lived most of her life in Decatur. We are pleased to have Bonnie join our team with her 14+ years of experience as an office manager of several group dental practices in Cobb County. Bonnie brings with her the knowledge and connections to assist Brookhaven Dental Associates in securing several financing options for our patients as well as working with local corporations to negotiate group fees.

Bonnie is as busy outside the office as in. Bonnie and her husband Brian love to go camping, white water rafting and escaping to the beach as often as possible. They have 3 children and 3 active grandchildren: Alexis, 16, plays softball for a traveling team as well plays on her high school varsity team; her brother Christian, 8, also plays baseball and Peyton, 6 takes gymnastics and keeps everyone on the go. If theres a game or an event, you know Bonnie and Brian are there!

Brittany Watkins is not only new to the Brookhaven Dental Associates team, but to the state of Georgia as well. Brittany has had a great appreciation for dentistry since she was 15-years-old, and that interest inspired her to become a dental assistant. She provides our patients with an enjoyable experience as they always leave with a smile.

Julie is a Georgia native, originally from Savannah. She graduated from Central Georgia Technical College in 2007 and has been working in the dental industry for over 15 years. She loves her patients and its her passion to make them smile, while also educating them on the effects of oral health on their general well being. Her hobbies are hiking, traveling and staying active with her two beagles, Ellie & Ivey.

Karen joined our team in 2019 and has quickly become a favorite amongst our patients. She is a proud graduate of the University of Georgia and earned her Dental Hygiene degree from Georgia Highlands College. Her friendly and funny chair side demeanor is the perfect pair to her 10+ years of dental hygiene experience. She provides our patients with simple self-care techniques to assure that your dental visit is an enjoyable one that extends beyond your in-office experience. She enjoys reading, painting, traveling and playing with her dog, Charlie Sue.

Tei is a new addition to the Brookhaven Dental Associates family. She loves her patients and finds joy in educating them about their oral health. She provides amazing assistance to our Dentists and always has a smile on her face (even behind her mask). Tei enjoys working with her BDA team because everyone is passionate about patient care.
