Dr. Hassan completed her dental degree at the University of Baghdad College of Dentistry in Iraq. After years of practicing dentistry, she decided to move to the United States. She graduated from New York Universitys College of Dentistry International Program with a diploma in endodontics and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from NYU.
Dentistry flows within Dr. Hassans veins. She knew she wanted to become a dentist at 5 years old, and with more than 30 years of experience, she cant get enough. What she specifically loves is helping her patients lift their self-esteem, keeping them from pain, and providing them with million-dollar smiles.
Because of her dedication to her patients, Dr. Hassan received the Patients Choice Award for her commitment and contribution to the Brookfield dental community. She was also the recipient of the American Best Dentist Award for General and Cosmetic Dentistry from 2010-2015, the Best in Brookfield Award, and the American Best Dental Award from 2007-2018.
Outside of work, Dr. Hassan enjoys volunteering her time with organizations such as the Connecticut Mission of Mercy, a free dental clinic. Shes also an active member of Colgate Oral Health Advisor, Invisalign, Greater Danbury Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. By partaking in these organizations, she keeps up-to-date with the newest dental technologies to best serve her patients.
Dr. Hassans love of dentistry runs in the family, as her son has followed her passion for dentistry and is now doing his oral surgery specialty. Her daughter is far from dentistry, following her own passion in entertainment as a producer.

This dentist told me I needed to fix over a dozen cavities, in an angry tone she told me I neglected my dental health. I was not experiencing any pain and I wanted to get other opinions. I did and it was proven I needed no work. Writing this review years after I saw her just to be absolutely sure I did not need the work she recommended. My teeth are fine. Bottom line I don't trust or like this dentist.

Dr. Hassan and her staff are unlike any dentist I have seen. They are professional and EXPLAIN treatments and don't make you feel guilty for prior issues. There is zero anxiety when heading there or sitting in the chair. I am not usually a fan of dentists, however this has been a great experience and look forward to having a permanent dentist that I can rely on.

I am new to the area from NYC and went for a regular cleaning and check up. My cleaning was lovely, but hygienist told me she thought I had a cavity before she even saw x rays. Then dentist came in and told me that I needed my wisdom teeth removed immediately, I had several cavities, etc. She did not even review my x rays with me. I did not like their approach and felt pressured to schedule extreme dental work with them. I gave them a firm "no thanks" and left. I then went to both my orthodontist and dentist in NYC and they both said the work was unnecessary after examining me and reviewing those x rays. No cavities and wisdom tooth extraction was not necessary. I don't care for alarmist types. I will not be returning.

I had such a GREAT experience at Brookfield Family Dental Art. Dr. Hassan and all of the staff are so friendly, welcoming, and professional. I was nervous about my appointment since I had not been to the dentist in some time and they made me feel very comfortable. I am happy that I found a dental practice I trust. I highly recommend them.
