Dr. Barney was born and raised in rural Eastern Idaho, and is a graduate from Rigby High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Idaho State University. He attended dental school in Omaha, Nebraska at Creighton University, where he graduated in the top ten of his class. In recognition of his academic record and clinical skills while in dental school, he was elected to membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Dr. Barney has been practicing dentistry in Boise since 1996, and he is an active member of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Barney enjoys spending time with his wife, their children and grandchildren. They enjoy spending time in the outdoors, and white water rafting is one of their favorite activities. One of their greatest joys is visiting Disney theme parks as a family. Dr. Barney enjoys dentistry and the opportunity to associate with the great people of Idaho.
Julie is a native Idahoan, and has always loved the Boise area. Julie loves the energy of the team she works with and that they share her primary goal which is to help you. She is friendly and enjoys the interaction with the great patients. She is the mother of 4 great children and an amazing granddaughter. She enjoys decorating her home, spending time with her family, and friends. She also loves going to Disneyland where her favorite ride is Peter Pan.

Over the years I have been to many dentists Locally, in other States and Overseas I can tell you the ladies (Tammy and Amy) that work the front office at "Brookdale Dental" are not only kind and knowledgeable but are very accommodating with finding times that work for their clients schedules. As for Dr. Barney, he is top notch, professional, great chairside manners and most of all very skilled in his profession which is the main point I look for in a provider. Trenton, Dr. Barney's C.D.A. is certifiably kind, polite and on the ball. Dr. Barney also employs a couple Hygienist Sandy and Kim, both are experienced, friendly and thorough in answering any questions relating to teeth care and maintenance. One would be hard pressed to find a better dentist office than Brookdale Dental.

We love Brookdale dental. The staff is super friendly and take their time in answering any questions you might have. My kids love them and actually look forward to visiting the dentist. I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Dr. Barney as his staff are all amazing. I'm in the process of getting implants and I didn't feel any pain or discomfort at all. They also answered all my questions and made sure I understood everything they were doing during the entire process. I would highly reccomend anyone to come see Dr. Barney for any dental needs.

Going to the dentist has always been the one things that's been so hard for me to do. I found them because they at offered sedation dentistry but they were so much more than that. They understood my anxieties with the dentistry and were so very compassionate. Thank you to the entire team for your help in every aspect to get my surgery completed!

My experience at Brookdale Dental was as good as you can have at the dentist. The staff as well as the Dr were all very, friendly, nice and professional. I was quite comfortable while getting my teeth worked on.

I highly recommend Dr Barney and his staff. They are both professional and friendly everytime I go in for a visit!!! The staff provides great care and always recommends what needs to be done, never overlooking or missing something. Dr Barney is always gentle and welcoming and cares greatly about each patient. I always feel I'm in great hands with each of his staff and would highly recommend Dr. Barney and his staff to patients of any age!!! I love coming here!!!

I've been going to Dr Barney's dental clinics for over 20 years and have always appreciated his & his friendly, professional staff; Just had a check up, and Sandy is the most amazing hygienist. Sandy was very efficient, informative, and friendly in a very humble, endearing way. I was having sort of a gag reflex day, and she related and easily adapted. I highly recommend Brookdale Dental, located in front of Pioneer Elementary School.
