Dr. Brochu believes a child should be evaluated no later than age 7. We do thisto inform and observe and feel at this early age, the eventual needs may be identified and discussed. If necessary, we observe until we evaluate that the patient is ready to begin treatment.
After you have left our office, you are free to eat at any time. The adhesive is cured right away so our patients can eat or drink immediately. There is no need to wait after a bracket is placed. You may adhere to your regular diet with you new braces. Be mindful of the foods that can be harmful to your braces. If you are unsure, we will be happy to provide you with a list of foods to avoid.
If you have insurance, we will work with your insurance plan to make sure payments are applied properly. If you do not have insurance or a dental plan, we will work with you to structure a convenient payment plan that will allow you to pay for orthodonticservices over a period of time that usually coincides with your treatment plan.
We will firstverify your coverage and we will agree to bill and collect from your insurance carrier.Please note that if your insurance lapses or ceases to cover your cost, the patient is responsible for the cost of the services.
Dr. Brochu grew up in Danbury, CT, the youngest of three boys and graduated high school from Kimball Union Academy, located in Meridan, New Hampshire. After graduating from Villanova University in Pennsylvania with a degree in Biology, he served in the US Peace Corps for two years in Thailand as a member of the Malaria Eradication Program. Upon his return to the United States, he relocated to Chicago where he attended Loyola Universitys School of Dentistry.
He had a special interest in orthodontics and applied to the orthodontic program at Loyola University where he achieved his Certificate of Specialty. Because Dr. Brochu enjoyed the academic environment, as well as interacting and teaching aspiring orthodontists, he taught at Loyola for four years as a clinical orthodontic instructor. He is a member of the Blue Key Honor Society, a national honor society recognizing academic excellence. Dr. Brochu is an Invisalign Premier Provider.
Dr. Brochu is a member in good standing of the World Federation of Orthodontics, American Association of Orthodontists, Midwest Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society.
Dr. Brochu and his wife Marita have six grown children (five daughters and one son) and enjoy travelling and attending live performances together. Personal interests include gardening, biking, fishing, skiing, and trying new cuisines. He is also a member of the Midwestern Dahlia Society.
Because Dr. Brochu rejects an assembly line or cookie cutter approach to orthodontic care, he maintains a smaller, efficient staff that is dedicated, conscientious and caring. Our team is friendly, courteous, and professional. We are very dedicated to our philosophy of personalized service.
You will find that we are very accommodating and will always make every effort to provide you with as much information as possible prior to, during and even after treatment. MaryAnn has been Dr. Brochus chair-side assistant for over 20 years. She has been an orthodontic assistant for 30 years, claiming to have entered the field after completing the first grade! She attended the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater and has two grown children. MaryAnn recently became a Grandma to a beautiful baby boy Charlie.

Best orthodontic service ! I been busy and a bad girl(45y ) and didn't wear my retainer, so my teeth moved. Staff been kind and professional and treated me like a family. Took me on a short notice as well. DR.Broshu is a wonderful doctor with a calm presence and great bedside manner, not mentioning his years of professional expertise! Thank you for providing a healthcare experience that barely exists anymore!

This is my second time through orthodontia with my younger daughter this time and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. The people are great, their work professional and great care has been taken during Covid to ensure a safe experience for patients. They are also good with patients with disabilities. Highly recommended!
