The vision of doctors, Rick Donlon, David Pepperman, Karen Miller, and Steven Besh came manifested in the opening of the first location for Christ Community Health Services in 1995 on South Third, with a mission to provide high-quality healthcare to the underserved in the context of distinctively Christian service. Since opening the South Third location, over the next 25 years, Christ Community strategically entered Memphis communities that, over time, have become deficient in resources and services. Many of the neighborhood residents lacked access to healthcare resulting in manageable health issues going untreated and undiagnosed.
Through the grace of God, Christ Community is standing in the gap, delivering quality healthcare and spiritual healing to those of our community who need it most. When patients enter the doors of Christ Community, we want them to feel the love and hope for their lives and their healing. We want to feel the love from our staff, physicians, and feel the passion, mission, and vision of Christ Community. Patients who enter the doors of Christ Community are treated with dignity and respect, along with spiritual healing and the opportunity to experience Gods love in prayer. We believe that Jesus Christ is the true healer, and with his guidance and comfort, we can provide physical and spiritual healing to all who enter our doors.
Today, Christ Community is one of the largest Faith-Based health centers in the nation and the largest provider of healthcare to the underserved in Shelby County providing care to over 58,000 unique individuals across eight locations in Shelby County. In 2020 Christ Community opened Christ Community Health Services- East Jackson expanding healthcare services to East Jackson (Madison County).

Christ Community offers physical, mental, and spiritual healing, compassionate care and the desire to meet the needs of the medically underserved of our community. Shelby County: 6 Health Centers, 1 Free Standing and 4 co-located dental centers, 5 Pharmacies, 1 free standing center and 1 mobile van for the homeless and 3 School-Based health centers. Madison County: 1 Health Center in East Jackson. Only FQHC in the area.
Christ Community Health Services is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)which is a reimbursement designation from the Bureau of Primary Health Care and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services of the United States Department of Health and Human Services. An FQHC is a community-based organization that provides comprehensiveprimary careandpreventive care, includinghealth,oral, andmental health/substance abuseservices to persons of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay orhealth insurance status.
A patient-centered medical home is a system of care in which a team of health professionals works together with you, the patient (and where appropriate, your family), to provide you with the best possible health care. Your primary care provider leads the care team which may include nurses, medical assistants, receptionists, specialists, or other health care professionals. Together, we work with you so that you get the care that you need.

I was told to call back 2 weeks later to make an appointment have been calling since they first open which has been 4 almost 5 hours now n still no answer I'm holding on the phone for about 15 minutes to only still get a voicemail I think you all services are very poor and make you all seem uncaring to give a person directions to receive care to not be there on the day that you said you would help that's very sad you all should do better

I called around 20 times yesterday, all at different times of the day plus I called 5 times today as soon as they opened, and still nobody is answering phone!!! I have an appointment today and all I want to do is confirm its time.

Call me to confirm my kids appointment, I discuss my teeth issues told me to come next morning 7:30 I came in right time but the denying and said we didn't told you to come in. It's so embarrassing even the manager didn't come to convince me and said sorry for that, Before that I had an appointment which the gave me written on visiting card and confirm it with phone, again when we came they said your don't have an appointment with us go and call us again to make an appointment. Believe I feel embarrassing for this type of management

The staff and the dentist ( Mr. Benson), are so very caring and polite. I have never experienced such hostility in a professional manner. I would suggest this establishment to everyone.

I am absolutely very blessed to have been well taken care of by everyone at this location! The staff was kind and so patient with me. They addressed my needs and concerns. They even let my husband come hold my leg while they pulled my wisdom tooth! Dr. Benson prayed before the extraction and other than the pressure, I didn't hurt at all. My mouth was a little tender after the extraction but after the second day, I am feeling so much better. I am a 24 week pregnant diabetic that was terrified in many ways but Christ Community Dental made this experience stress free and I left there so overwhelmed with gratitude! I will never trust another dentist like I do Christ Community on Broad. Thank you Dr. Benson and all the staff! You guys are the best!

I have been coming to this dentist for a long time. I have never experienced so much nasty and bad attitudes from the staff. I went in for a cleaning and the lady that was assisting me on that day was (Kaylee) she was very unprofessional, very nasty attitude. She never stated what she was about to do when it came down to the preparation. She wasn't friendly nor kind. She inserted the needle in my mouth without even saying what she was about to do. The whole experience of trying to make me feel comfortable was out the window. She tells me she does this every day, either you want me to or not, I was like woooo.. I can go own and own about this place, but just had to share this horrible unprofessional experience.. I mean this lady and some of the staff are very rude

Very unprofessional didn't get the treatment after being referred to them management was not professional .. I called for three days just to get denied on the walk in day .. they ask you to call 7:30 on a Wednesday morning just to get turned down

For the past 5+ years I have been going to this dental office. My insurance covers other locations but the dental staff is incredible! The security gentleman at the front is very kind and quick to help open the door. The dentists and dental assistants and dental hygienists are extremely qualified. They genuinely care about their patients. It is much more than just a job for them. They serve from the love they have from God. They also are very accomodating for those who speak languages other than English. I have referred MANY friends to this clinic and all of my friends have said that they received great care. The wait can be long, but it is WELL worth the wait! HIGHLY recommend this clinic.

If you are wanting a new patient exam for dental work , please go to the clinic. Calling them is a joke because you'll never get through at 7:30 in the morning and they do not check voicemails. Waste of time.

I hate HATE this place, the staff is rude, they mess up your lab results, the staff can't even remember to do your labs, and make you go online and read them! When I try to get them to call me back about My results they never do or leave me on hold for HOURS at a time. Every time I make an appointment they let everyone go in front of me at the schedule time I am to be there and I don't get seen for 2 hours. I wished there was another OBGYN that took my insurance and accepted new patients (don't because of of COVID), because I would NEVER go here again if I had a choice
