Dr. Britto completed her clinical specialty training in pediatric dentistry from LSU. She obtained a masters degree in oral biology from LSU. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and specializes in the care of infants, children, teens, and children with special needs. She has been in practice since 1990 and has practiced pedodontics in Reston and Ashburn for several years.
Dr. Britto has the exceptional ability to ensure that children with dental needs have positive experiences from early childhood through life. She provides comprehensive care aimed at preventing and intercepting dental and orthodontic problems of children at an early age. She brings a unique blend of experience, knowledge, compassion and personal involvement to the practice that is the secret of her success in relating to children who eagerly look forward to meeting Dr. Mala and enjoying the beauty of her office environment. Dr. Britto has incorporated state-of-the-art technologies and sterilization techniques. In addition, she has facilities for sedation, including IV sedation.
Dr. Britto is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Northern Virginia Dental Society, Maryland State Dental Association and Tysons Study Club. To give back to the community, she volunteers with Mission of Mercy and is a sponsor for Little River Elementary School, Hutchison Elementary, and Liberty Elementary. She also supports major sports and swims teams in the area and Hoop Magic.
Dr. Britto is keenly interested in continuing education, in keeping abreast of the latest developments in the field of pediatric dentistry and making every childs visit to her office an experience to remember!

Our first visit with our pandemic baby - we expected it to be a challenge. Pierre (hygienist) was amazing with our little guy - blowing up balloons, offering toys, showing him toothpaste. He just wasn't having it. Dr. Brillo and the team were completely understanding and never made us feel embarrassed as we all worked through the behavior. The outcome? A successful brushing, flossing, and visit for our little guy. Can't thank this team enough - we will definitely be making this our primary dentist.

I could not believe that Ms. Mala Britto, a Pediatrician Dentist, would say something awful to a child. "Why don't we remove your tooth and put dentures on?""" She said yesterday to my child experiencing pain on a tooth that broke last year and she filled it in. My husband was unhappy with how she talks to our children and I can't agree anymore. Don't recommend anyone taking a child to a Pediatrician Dentistry like Ms. Britto.

Our appointment was 8:30. Got there early but we had to wait more than 15 minutes before they help us. Not even an apology that they are running late.

Please carefully check what they performed and all items they claim to your insurance company. In my son's last visit for the regular check-up, my wife clearly mentioned not to perform "topical fluoride varnish" because we well know that my insurance covers it only once a year. They acknowledged and accepted it at the front desk and my wife also checked that they didn't perform with standing by my son. But they claimed it anyway after the visit and billed it to me after my insurance company refused to pay it. The funny thing is that this is the second time it happened (that's why my wife kept eyes on what the dentist did). Looks to me that they just claim it regardless of whether they actually did or not. Also, even though I called them three months ago and explained it like as before, they just sent a bill to me again at this time. Never visit this office if you don't like this kind of situation.

I went to dr britto for like 5 years back when I was a kid, and he was the best doctor ever i swear i moved states and every dentist i go to now sucks and always messes up my teeth. but anyway my teeth were a mess and look so much better now and i was never scared to go to the dentist! thank you you were the best and now my teeth are so pretty

My wife and I have been taking our son here, and the entire staff is AMAZING. We had to have a procedure done on our 7 month old son that was intimidating for us as parents, and the experience was so much easier due to the impeccable bedside manner of Dr. Britto and her op assistant who I cannot remember her name but she was wonderful. Dr. Britto is the most amazing pediatric dentist in the state of Virginia, bar none. I commend Dr. Mala Britto for running such an excellent office and having the best and brightest young people to assist her in the clinic and at the front desk!! Farnaz, Katherine, Pranoy, and Areli are kind and endearing, and above all they get it done! They do their job above and beyond and make us feel valued. Additionally, though we did not have an appointment scheduled with Dr. Ivan, he surprised us by taking the time to say hello and converse with me to know how everything went. Both Dr. Ivan and Dr. Mala are true professionals who value the relationships, trust, and quality of care above all else. There is no better place to visit if you want to make a positive impact on your children to give them the best dental experience. I could keep going on and on, the office is such a breath of fresh air.

Did not feel any empathy from the Doctor towards my daughter. She didn't comfort her and was very direct. My daughter is now traumatized to go to the dentist. So glad I found a pediatric dentist office that is caring and comforting.

I waited about two hours, and then they told me that the machines were not working! They should make sure before if the machines do not work. and not waste your time!

Waited for over an hour, they need more dentists or a better scheduling system. When my child was finally show the dentist, they rush and treated my son uncaring and didn't care if he was crying in pain.

Dr. Britto is always doing everything she can to help save our son's teeth. We are foster (almost adoptive parents) to twin 9 year old boys. One of the boys has horrible teeth and we spend a lot of time in Dr. Britto's offices working the treatment plan. The office staff is super friendly, extremely helpful, and always responsive. Even with all of the new restrictions in place, everything still moved along smoothly.

Received a second opinion here. Our previous dentist was unable to get X-rays for my five year old but Dr Britto's staff was able to without any issues. Dr Britto spent a lot of time with me going over the xrays while the tech skillfully distracted my daughter. When she did need to get some work done, the staff stayed late on a Friday night to squeeze us in and make sure my daughter did not go the weekend in pain. The front desk staff is equally amazing-making sure I understand the treatment plan, insurance processing, and appointment scheduling.

I usually take my kids for teeth cleaning the service was good staff is friendly. but when they started to fix my daughter's teeth They messed up all her teeth she's not able to eat any sweets or chew on them she's having pain all the time .before they started the process she didn't have any pain just the Xray showed that it has little cavities. they mess
