The staff are all wonderful. I am so happy with my new teeth. I have spent a lifetime trying not to smile in a way that people would see my teeth. After the work done by Brite Dental, I want to smile all the time.

I have complicated dental issues and Dr. Shanmugham really was able to put together a manageable treatment plan. She takes the time to explain things. She is gentle with her numbing procedure and has an experienced touch as she works on my teeth. Her office has the best written plans of care I have seen anywhere. She coordinates well with dental specialists and has brochures in her waiting room for dental advances I wasn't aware of so I get a bit of education while waiting. She has a small office and I appreciate the quiet and slower pace.

Stay Away. This new Doctor took over from Dr. Chu and ever since this place is terrible. No Hygienist! The new Doctor gives you a pathetic imitation of a cleaning, herself. It took her 10 mins.! Be prepared to get done everything you are eligible for. Whether you need it or not. They will re do fillings that are good, take all the x rays they can. Try to sell you treatments and have you sign documents to squeeze the insurance. I am okay with making the best out of the insurance but, come on! This new management is all about billing the insurance. Not taking care of patients. Steer clear!

I was extremely disappointed with my visit at Brite Dental today. I signed up to be seen by Dr. Chu but ended up being seen by a Dr. Chitra who claimed that she has bought over the practice. If Dr. Chu is no longer seeing patients and is being replaced by another dentist, it would be be appropriate that I be informed ahead of my appointment so that I can make a decision as to whether I want to keep my appointment or not. This is not only expected but it shows integrity of the dentists involved. The dentist, Dr. Chitra, could not even tell that I did not have a bridge but just crowns even though she had the x-rays, pictures, and looked at my teeth. She even had to consult with another dentist, presumably Dr. Chu, in the background before discussing planned treatment. I signed up for a cleaning today but wasn't given one. I was there for an hour and just had a bunch of photos and X-rays taken, issues explained, and quotes given. I had to sign two agreements. One to pay $100/hr if I did not cancel 48 before; the other to pay for my treatment when I make the appointment with them. The whole thing sounded fishy to me. This was my first visit to Brite Dental and definitely my last. I won't be back, trust me!

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!! This dentist caused me major damage, suffering, and financial hardship! I saw Dr. Chitra Shanmugham three times. On May 19, 2021, I went in for what I thought was a cleaning, but they did not clean my teeth. The doctor did make me schedule two future appointments for cleaning and fillings and PRE-PAY for those services. On June 11, 2021, they did clean my teeth and also managed to sell me custom mouth trays for fluoride that were not covered by insurance. On June 14, 2021, the dentist did a few fillings in the upper front right of my mouth. However, the fillings were done HORRIBLY. First, I had to speak up a couple times about my bite feeling really wrong, so she worked on it again. Next, after she was done with the fillings, she left the room and I felt the fillings for myself. They were clearly underfilled and very rough. I looked in a mirror and I could see the huge ledge between the "fillings" and where my real tooth resumed. I got the dentist to come back and she added more composite to the areas. When I left the appointment, the fillings were still really rough. I decided NOT to return to Dr. Chitra Shanmugham again. If only that was the end of it... Over the next few weeks (and while on a cross-country road trip), my right side had cheek and jaw pain, which turned into searing sinus-area pain. After starting treatment for a suspected sinus infection, I started having absolutely agonizing pain in a tooth that Dr. Chitra Shanmugham had worked on. The tooth pain was by far the worst I have ever had in my life. I could not close my mouth, I could not even swallow my own saliva without intense pain. As a result, I went to two emergency dental appointments while on vacation. At the first, the dentist took x-rays and showed me the many ways Dr. Chitra Shanmugham messed up my mouth. She left the bite wrong. She left gaps on both sides of the tooth so it did not touch it's neighbors, which endangers the tooth and the root. She drilled out a part of a neighboring tooth and did not refill it. She underfilled the fillings in that tooth, as well as the others I got from her. She left the fillings really, really rough. The emergency dentist diagnosed an abscess tooth and gave me amoxicillin and pain medication. He also fixed the bite and smoothed out some of Dr. Chitra Shanmugham's fillings. He told me I would need a root canal. I was leaving for home two days later, so I wanted to wait until I was back in San Jose to do it. Unfortunately, the pain was unbearable so I had to see him again to drain the infection and remove the root. After all this, I had to drive home cross-country with a swollen and painful face and mouth. I could not- and still cannot- eat normally. Thankfully, I found a wonderful dentist in Campbell who saw me and finished the root canal. Now I need a crown on that tooth, as well as the fillings fixed and the neighboring tooth repaired. Unfortunately, all the dental work I have needed to correct what Dr. Chitra Shanmugham did to me used up my insurance benefits for the year. Now I need to pay for a crown out of pocket or figure something else out. To make matters worse, on September 19, 2021, one of the fillings that Dr. Shanmugam did fell out. Now I have a huge divot in my tooth and there is a gap that goes up under my gums. NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF DR. SHANMUGHAM DID NOT MESS UP MY TEETH IN SEVERAL WAYS. I cannot stress enough how much preventable pain and suffering this dentist has caused me. Please, learn from me and STAY AWAY!!!!

Last year, I found Dr.Chu and I wish I could meet him earlier. He is definitely very professional and nice. I am naturally nervous for dental stuff. However, every time I have section with Dr.Chu, it feels like talking with a old friend. Very chilled. He help me to improve my gum and teeth. Thanks, Dr.Chu. 100% highly highly recommended.

This is a review for the reception. The customer service is terrible. From being on hold forever to just poor service skills. I won't be going here again.

It was hard to get an appointment for routine cleaning. The place has hygienists only on Mondays and Tuesdays. Once I got to the place, the receptionist was friendly and polite. The hygienist did a thorough job in taking X-rays, and cleaning. Doctor Chu looked at the X-rays and examined my teeth. He explained my options regarding future course of action. I was able to schedule the next appointment for further treatment. Overall, it was an effective visit.
