Dr. Reid is originally from Trinidad West Indies. He spent a few years in the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard andwas given the opportunity to immigrate to the United States to pursue a career in dentistry. He graduated from the Brooklyn College with a degree in biology and was a member of the Ford Colloquium and Howard Hughes Honor Societies. In 1998 he completed his dental degree at the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine. He earned hisMasters of Dental Science and Endodontic Certificate in 2001.
Dr. Reid has done research on the restoration of endodontically treated teeth using different post systems. He has also investigated the use of Electronic Apex Locators and the effect that these devices have on various treatment outcomes. The results of these studies have been published in the Journal of Endodontics.
In addition to his interests in dentistry, Dr. Reid works as music director at his church and has studied the organ for several years. Dr. Reid enjoys spending family time with his wife Karen and two kids, Matthew and Sarah. Together they are active in church ministries and enjoy traveling.

I've been to Dr. Reid twice already for root canals. He has a very calm and patient way of explaining what he is going to do that puts you at ease and makes the experience a comfortable one. He is gentle and considerate with the procedure and communicates where he is in the process. His office staff is very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend him to anyone needing the services he offers.

Dr. Reid is very thorough and has a pleasant attitude, however, there were a few hiccups. The biggest ones being that my infected tooth that was undergoing a root canal caused so much pain that I needed painkillers, which Dr. Reid did not prescribe. Fortunately, I had some leftover at home from my botched root canal, which was performed elsewhere. When Dr. Reid's root canal was completed, my bite was not properly adjusted, as part of my face had been numb, which led to a lot of pain in my gum until my regular dentist made an adjustment when putting in the permanent filling. It took 3 visits, and on 2/3 visits, Dr. Reid's dental assistant left mouthwash in my mouth, as they didn't have me close my lips to suction it out. Also, on my first visit, his assistant was counting the teeth numbers out loud to be sure she got the right tooth, and on my second visit, his assistant did the same thing, but was starting to numb up the wrong side of my mouth when I corrected her. I give 4 stars because of the doctor himself.

The team is absolutely amazing ! I definitely recommend! Take it from me an adult who walked in with a Stuffed animal in my hand anxious about my procedure . I FELT NO PAIN and was explained what was going on every step of the way. I was put at ease and will definitely be retuning here for my second root canal.

Read all the reviews before I got my root canal with Dr. Reid and yet I was still so nervous about my appointment. I was pleasantly wrong - had the easiest root canal , he explained in detail everything he was doing. No pain and the experience was great . Great dentist and highly recommended. Made me very comfortable and relaxed.

Dr Reid is the very definition of gentle dentistry. A 4 root molar root canal with no pain. I never could do a root canal without gas. Here was different. Highly recommend this office. All very nice, even the attending staff.

After my visit, i finally understand everyone elses reviews. most painfree root canal not bothersome at all while being done. i like doctor reid he has a calming vibe to him. You won't be disappointed.

He is very professional and thorough while doing the procedure, painless root canal and mine was complex because I had 4 root canals on that one tooth he had to do, took just an hour and after the procedure it was recommended to take advil for the pain and believe it or not I didn't need to take any, hard to believe but true, had the procedure done on 11/5/ 19 in the morning and went to work the same day 2 hours later, would highly recommend Dr. Lester Reid

Was referred from Sutton dentistry on Wolcott Rd. Had an unpleasant experience. Went for a root canal, & still had a lot of pain after the procedure. After the 8th time trying to get in contact, I was not given any sympathy nor compassion for my frustrations & instead was hung up on and threatened if I continued to call! Dr. Reid went as far as calling the police on me for calling multiple times all because I want to know why I'm still in pain!!! IF I can give him less than 1 star I would!! People need to see this!! Now I have to go see someone else and go get it fixed! I am beyond hurt by this and will take legal action!

Dr. Reid is very kind, professional, and knowledgeable. I had this tooth pain thats been going on for many years. I've seen many dentists and endodontists but was anable to get rid of this issue still. I finally found Dr. Reid and he was able to identify the problem and fix it completely. His staff was also very nice and helpful. I had the best root canal experience there and can not be happier to be pain free!
