A children's dental specialist is a practitioner who, after becoming a general dentist (often called a family dentist), has completed an additional two years of post-doctoral training in the recognition and treatment of childrens dental and orthodontic problems.
Specialty education includes child psychology, behavior guidance, preventive techniques, restorative dentistry, interceptive and comprehensive orthodontic care (braces), and the treatment of handicapped or chronically ill children.
We proudly serve children from all around Bartlett, Lakeland, Munford and the surrounding areas, including Arlington, Atoka, Collierville, Cordova, East Memphis, Germantown Millington, Tipton County and Western Fayette County.
In preparation for his future as a pediatric dentist, he obtained his undergraduate degree from Wheaton College, where he majored in business and economics with an emphasis in health care professions.
Additional qualifications include PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification, conscious sedation certification (for the use of oral sedation for our apprehensive patients), and completion of the Clinical Modification of Dentofacial Development program (provides him past and yearly training in orthodontics for our patients that need a pediatric approach to their orthodontic needs).
Additionally, Dr. Josh has operating room privileges at LeBonheur East Surgery Center to offer outpatient general anesthesia as an option for our underage/anxious patients. Professionally, Dr. Josh serves as:
In his spare time, Dr. Josh enjoys working in the yard, gardening, exercising at the Orange Theory gym, traveling out West to hike 14ers and snow ski, and reading biographies, theology, best-sellers, and adventure novels.
For dental school, Dr. Jason came back to his hometown and attended the University of Tennessee where he was the recipient of the Pediatric Dentistry Alumni Association Award. And upon graduation, Dr. Jason worked for six years in both the office of Dr. Josh and the office of Dr. Chuck Hughes in Dyersburg, TN.
But, the calling to return for more training in pediatric dentistry led Dr. Jason to leave private practice for two years to join the graduate pediatric dental residency program at the University of Tennessee.
When he does find some free time, Dr. Jason enjoys spending time with his large extended family, attending Ole Miss games, watching movies, and reading anything from novels to books on theology and apologetics.
During her tenure at the UT Dental School, Dr. Emily was a member of the dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon, received the Tennessee Society of Pediatric Dentistry's Award for Excellence, and became board-certified in pediatric dentistry in 2013.
Dr. Emily has also earned her certifications for residency in pediatric dentistry, PALS (pediatric advanced life support), conscious sedation, CPR, and has operating room privileges at LeBonheur Children's Medical Center and LeBonheur East Surgery Center.

My daughter (3) and son (16 months) had their first appointments today! Their hygienist and Dr. Jason were great. The office was clean and the waiting room was fun and entertaining for the kids to play while I filled out paperwork. Can not recommend Brink and White enough! My little girl wait to go back.

Absolutely amazing! Everyone was SO good to my 4 year old!!! Bobbie Jo is literally a blessing! My baby has been going here since she was 18 months old and is not scared of the dentist at all!

We love the Munford office! The ladies there provided such comfort to my anxious child through all her dental and ortho work. Dr. Josh did a great job easing her fears and explained everything to her at each visit. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and her smile says it all.

My kids love going to the dentist now. The environment is very kid friendly with the clubhouse in the waiting room, kids movies playing and prizes at the end of the visit. We always have a great experience.

Might take a while to get an appointment set up but it's worth the wait. I absolutely love this place they are such a friendly group and they always make us feel very comfortable my 5 year old and 4 year old are always so excited for their visits. Due to the friendly staff they have there thank you for such a great job you all do!!!

Everyone was so nice. My daughter has been going here since she was 3 and the service is wonderful each time. One of the assistants even helped me with my cranky one year old son while I spoke with the dentist about future treatment plans for my daughter. We had so many issues with finding someone to help us getting our daughter's braces fixed, we came here. I cannot say how happy we are with how we were treated and how Brink and White could have tried to redo everything, but they didn't. They instead did what was best for us and actually put our daughter's needs first. Simply awesome people here!! I can't say enough good things about them.
