A children's dental specialist is a practitioner who, after becoming a general dentist (often called a family dentist), has completed an additional two years of post-doctoral training in the recognition and treatment of childrens dental and orthodontic problems.
Specialty education includes child psychology, behavior guidance, preventive techniques, restorative dentistry, interceptive and comprehensive orthodontic care (braces), and the treatment of handicapped or chronically ill children.
We proudly serve children from all around Bartlett, Lakeland, Munford and the surrounding areas, including Arlington, Atoka, Collierville, Cordova, East Memphis, Germantown Millington, Tipton County and Western Fayette County.
In preparation for his future as a pediatric dentist, he obtained his undergraduate degree from Wheaton College, where he majored in business and economics with an emphasis in health care professions.
Additional qualifications include PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification, conscious sedation certification (for the use of oral sedation for our apprehensive patients), and completion of the Clinical Modification of Dentofacial Development program (provides him past and yearly training in orthodontics for our patients that need a pediatric approach to their orthodontic needs).
Additionally, Dr. Josh has operating room privileges at LeBonheur East Surgery Center to offer outpatient general anesthesia as an option for our underage/anxious patients. Professionally, Dr. Josh serves as:
In his spare time, Dr. Josh enjoys working in the yard, gardening, exercising at the Orange Theory gym, traveling out West to hike 14ers and snow ski, and reading biographies, theology, best-sellers, and adventure novels.
For dental school, Dr. Jason came back to his hometown and attended the University of Tennessee where he was the recipient of the Pediatric Dentistry Alumni Association Award. And upon graduation, Dr. Jason worked for six years in both the office of Dr. Josh and the office of Dr. Chuck Hughes in Dyersburg, TN.
But, the calling to return for more training in pediatric dentistry led Dr. Jason to leave private practice for two years to join the graduate pediatric dental residency program at the University of Tennessee.
When he does find some free time, Dr. Jason enjoys spending time with his large extended family, attending Ole Miss games, watching movies, and reading anything from novels to books on theology and apologetics.
During her tenure at the UT Dental School, Dr. Emily was a member of the dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon, received the Tennessee Society of Pediatric Dentistry's Award for Excellence, and became board-certified in pediatric dentistry in 2013.
Dr. Emily has also earned her certifications for residency in pediatric dentistry, PALS (pediatric advanced life support), conscious sedation, CPR, and has operating room privileges at LeBonheur Children's Medical Center and LeBonheur East Surgery Center.

Friendly staff, my 4 year old loves going to get her check ups at the dentist office because they make her feel special and accepted. They explain everything to her so she understands what they are doing and so she is not scared of anything that will be done while at the office

Both of my young kids had a great first dentist experience at Brink and White! While there was some trepidation on their part, the hygienist and other staff worked hard to make them feel comfortable and the cleanings went great. Dr. Jason was informative, kind, and also great with the kids. Highly recommend!

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Jason for dental checkups since she turned 1. They have always been so patient with my nervous toddler. Her most recent visit went amazingly. If you're on the fence about when to start taking your toddler to the dentist, I highly recommend starting very young and going to Brink and White. Not only is the office super cool, but the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Ok so I'm horrible with names and I even asked her before I left what it was haha, but our hygienist today was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond today for Savannah to be comfortable and have a good experience coming from someone who used to be afraid of the dentist this hygienist was a God send today thank you so much!!!!
