Dr. Amy Ames is a native of San Diego, California. After completing her undergraduate education at Princeton University in 2008, she earned a Masters Degree in Graduate Medical Sciences from Boston University School of Medicine. In 2015, Dr. Ames received her D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she earned a regional certification to practice dentistry by the Northeast Regional Board of Dental Examiners. She completed a general practice residency at Rochester General Hospital and now resides in Victor, NY. Dr. Ames has alsojoined the clinicalfaculty at Monroe Community College hygiene program and serves on the board of Au Clare de Lune Preschool and Kindergarten, a non-profit education program dedicated to state-of-the-art teaching methods for children preparing for elementary school. After three years of associateship, Dr. Ames became a working partner with Dr. Wayne Chanler at Brighton Towne Dental.
She loves her work and is dedicated to providing quality and accessible care to all of her patients. Dr. Ames firmly believes that every patient deserves treatment that is customizable to their needs and overall healthcare goals. She is state certified in enteral conscious sedation and Level 1 Botox administration. Exploring all niches of dentistry is very important to Dr. Ames, as evidenced by her many hours spent completing continuing education courses. By keeping up with latest studies, techniques, and technologies, she strives to offer the best level of personalized care available.
Dr. Wayne Chanler is a graduate of Washington University School of Dental Medicine. He served in the Public Health Service, a branch of the US Navy, for 2 years as a Captain. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Dental Society of the State of New York, the 7th District Dental Society and the Ontario County Dental Society. He served as Secretary of the 7th District Dental Society for 7 years, as well as their EDPAC chairman.
Dr. Chanler has completed a 3-year course in straight wire orthodontics in Buffalo, NY. His Continuing Education courses include an Implant Practicum, Invisalign, Lumineers, Periodontics and Full Mouth Cosmetics.
Leahhas been a licensed assistant since 2002 and loves to help give each of her patients a smile to be proud of. It makes her delighted to know she is helping her community obtain the best oral health possible.
Leahis the mom of 3 grown children and the grandmother of 4 beautiful grandchildren. She is a native of our quaint little beautiful town, Naples.Leahloves to spend time with her family and also likes to keep busy assisting her sister with a flower shop in her spare time.
Christine Phillips has been a practicing, Registered Dental Hygienist for 26 years. She achieved her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1995 at SUNY Broome in Binghamton, New York, and received Certificate in Localize Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide in 2006 at Monroe CommunityCollege in 2006. Her practice as a dental hygienist includes general dental hygiene and 18 years of pediatric hygiene. She also has over 8 years in cosmetic, orthodontic, and malocclusion evaluations.
