My mother is a dental assistant and she inspired me. I started working in the dental field when I was 13 and have been a practicing dentist for 20 years. During that time, Ive met and helped so many people who haveenriched my life with their stories. As practiced at Brighton Smiles, dentistry is about caring forthe whole person, not just their teeth!

I am enthusiastic about helping people take control of their smile. Todays dental technology and treatment options mean painless visits and incredible results. By partnering with a patient, everyone here works to help the person develop an appreciation for their oral health. We focus on individual care during the visit because each person is our top priority!

Right now is the best time to be a dentist, as there is an abundancy of new techniques, technologies, and dental materials available which all mean better diagnostics, pain-free care, and incredible results. As a dentist, its my responsibility to stay up-to-date on these changes and how they can help my patients.

Each year, I complete many continuing education courses and attend conferences, seminars, and lectures. Im also active in the Phoenix Implant Study Club, 5280 Study Club (Seattle Study Club), and the Scottsdale CEREC Center.

I was born in Nebraska and moved to Lafayettein the eighth grade. My husband Bob, whos a photojournalist and author, and I have two young sons. Wilson loves to play and talk sports and Mitch loves to sing, dance, and play.

Time with my family is important to me and we love being outside! We like playing in the mountains, year round, along with swimming, camping, and skiing. Our regular Friday night Mexican food feasts are always enjoyed!

Jenny keeps our back office running smoothly, so her teammates and Dr. Spencer can focus on whats most important: our patients smiles and comfort. In addition to maintaining our equipment, shes also our tech maintenance person. Outside of work, time with her husband Mike and three kids is a top priority. Jenny also loves camping and reading.

The Brighton Smiles dental assistants, Betty and Bailee, support patients and keep everyone smiling. They seat patients, prepare them to see Dr. Spencer, and explain what will happen during their procedure. Sitting at chairside, they make sure Dr. Spencer has everything needed. At the same time, they keep the patient updated on whats happening and check to make sure he or she is comfortable. At the end of a procedure, they offer home care instructions and check to make sure the patient is happy with everything.

When shes not working, Betty loves spoiling her seven wonderful grandchildren. As she says, What happens at Grandmas house stays at Grandmas house! Outside of work, Bailee enjoys spending time with her family and watching her daughter learn and grow!

Michele greets each patient with a warm smile, checks you in, and updates your records. She also answers our phones and schedules visits, during which she finds the times that work with everyones busy lives. In addition, Michele reviews treatment plans with patients and answers their questions, as well as running insurance reports and posting insurance payments. Michele loves spending time with her family and grandkids. She also likes reading, traveling, and going on walks.

Kristen and Rene are our gentle dental hygienists. They support patients in developing healthy, clean smiles and teach each patient about unique and personal oral health concerns. While helping a patient maintain healthy teeth and gums, they review home dental hygiene processes and recommend the best products. They also talk about developing good habits and the role nutrition plays in great smiles.

Kristen loves spending time with her three kids: Owen, Evan, and Ashlyn. The family members are big Broncos fans and enjoy time outside. Renes time away from the office is spent with her two kids and great husband. Her family likes camping, many outdoor activities, and traveling.
