Dr. Eick is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, where she graduated with honors. She received her undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Dr. Eick completed a general practice residency at the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center, where she was on the VA Honor Roll. While in dental school, she received the American Student Dental Association Award of Excellence, the Delta Dental Student Leadership Award, and the Thurber Scholarship. Shewas active in student government as class president for two years and student body president her senior year. She also served as a representative on the Delta Dental Professional Relations Advisory committee. In addition to the professional associations previously mentioned, Dr. Eick is also a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and the Chicago Dental Society. She has also served on the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry Alumni Board. Dr. Eick lives in Dexter with her husband and two children. They can be found having adventures around the Brighton, Dexter, and Ann Arbor, Michigan communities.
Dr. Birchmeier is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He also received his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology. While in dental school, he held a leadership position within the student government and was an active member of the Xi Psi Phi international dental society. Dr. Birchmeier completed a general practice residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Currently, he lives in Canton with his wife, two children and two dogs. He and his wife love to stay active within their local communities and organizations, including the Wayne Memorial High Schools Children Holiday Nights and contributing to the teen mentoring program, Champions of Wayne. If he isnt helping others, on the weekends you can find him enjoying a game of golf, watching a sports game, or with his nose in a book (typically about dentistry).
Lisa grew up in Novi, Michigan, and she currently lives in Howell. Lisa was a dental assistant for 5 years while she attended Oakland Community College for Dental Hygiene. She has been a hygienist at Brighton Healthy Smiles since 2010. Lisa has been married to Mike for 15 years; they have 2 boys Hunter, 13, and Gavin, 10. After work, Lisa is always busy with the boys activities soccer, baseball, archery, and helping with homework. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running, and family vacations.
Tracy is a 2002 graduate from Oakland Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She received a clinical achievement award in patient management and clinical skills. She places a special emphasis on providing a fun, comfortable,and relaxing atmosphere for her patients, all with a gentle touch. She takes great pride in understanding her patients needs andfocuses oneducating her patients to help them improve their homecare practices. Tracy has participated in Oakland County Health Department activities in promoting dental health in the community. Shefrequently attends continued education courses to keep her knowledge and skills current. Tracylives in Milford with her husband and three children. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and reading.
Jillwas born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and grew up in South Bend, Indiana. She attended both Purdue University and Indiana University, where she earned her degree and graduated with honors from the Dental Hygiene program in 1990. Right after graduation, she got married and moved to Michigan and has practiced as a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist in the Detroit metro area ever since. Jill currently lives in Livonia with her husband, Steve, and son, Bryan, who is an Eagle Scout. She has been with Brighton Healthy Smiles since 2012. She has also worked with dentally under-served children in the Detroit metro area since 2004, providing preventive dental services in a school-based setting with a mobile dental company. When Jill has spare time, she is heavily involved in Scouting with her son and husband, is a very avid reader, likes to do needlework, and loves to watch sports, especially Notre Dame football and Detroit Tigers baseball.
Kasey is a graduate of Lansing Community College. She is a resident of Howell, where she lives with her husband, Terry, and their children. In her free time, Kasey enjoys cheering on her children in their many sporting events and spending time with her family and friends. Kasey is dedicated to making her patients feel comfortable about their dental experience and educating them on their dental health.
I have been in dentistry for more than 30 years. I wanted to be part of a dental team that is committed to their patients, continuous learning, and keeping up with advancing technology. I enjoy working at Brighton Healthy Smiles. Our doctors and staff are so caring and compassionate. This job is so interesting; each patient has a different need and each case is unique. The combination of working so closely with patients and the incredible opportunity to learn and grow makes this the perfect job for me. When not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my sons sports, gardening, cooking, and doing things outdoors.
I graduated from Ross Medical Education Center in 2009 with a certification in dental assisting. I have been working at Brighton Healthy Smiles with Dr. Eick and Dr. Birchmeier for 6 years. I fell in love with the practice on my first day! The staff is incredibly friendly and is so much fun to work with! When I am not working, I love spending time with my husband and our kids. I also love to read and enjoy anything outdoors.
I have worked in the dental field since 2000, and I am fortunate to be part of the Brighton Healthy Smiles team. Working as insurance coordinator allows me to interact with our patients on a personal as well as professional level. In my free time, I like to have fun with my family and friends.
