Dr. Terrence Yu has been practicing dentistry in Phoenix, Arizona since receiving his DDS degree from Meharry Medical College (Tennessee). Dr. Yu received a B.S. in Biochemistry from UC Riverside and a B.S. in Engineering from CSU Long Beach. He worked as an engineer for Fortune 500 companies such as Xerox Corp and Motorola, Inc. After 11 years as an engineer, Dr. Yu found his calling as a dentist. After graduating from dental school, he settled in Chandler, Arizona with his wife and three children because of the people, their church, and the city.
Dr. Yu is active in the Arizona Academy of General Dentistry, serving as a board member and in other capacities. He is also active in the Arizona Dental Association and Central Arizona Dental Society, serving in various committees at the state and local level. Dr. Yu is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association and the select Student Clinicians of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Yu has a passion to educate his patients on how to achieve optimal and aesthetic dental health. He has given Dental Health presentations to schools and churches every year in honor of Childrens Dental Health month. Dr. Yu and Maricopa Integrated Health System collaborated, with the sponsorship of the American Dental Association Foundation, to create a web-based dental education module for 1st-3rd graders. This module, called Dental Fun, is located at www.mihs.org.

Dr. Yu and the staff at Brighton Dental are wonderful! Dr. Yu is very personable and takes his time to explain any dental concerns one may have. The staff are exceptional and do their best to get you into your appointment on time.

Always very professional and care about their patients. It is obvious that they love what they do and enjoy serving the community. Have not once had a bad experience or felt negatively about their services, office, or employees. Besides going to the dentist and the anxiety that often comes with that, they always make sure to take good care of me and ensure I am comfortable my entire visit. Doctor, is very knowledgeable and genuine.

Service is amazing.From the receptionist to the dentist. My dentist is very honest and kind. Only wants what's best for you. I hate going to the dentist. It causes me really bad anxiety, but they make me feel super comfortable or as comfortable as I can possibly be. If you need a dentist, go to Brighton Dental for sure

My husband and I just started coming to Brighton Dental and have had nothing but great things to say. The front desk is super kind and helpful and organized. Check in and check out process was very easy. We got a cleaning done and were very satisfied. Dr. Yu is so kind and so thorough with what he does. You can tell he really cares for his patients. He also is very knowledgeable and answers any questions you have. I am currently going through the process for Invisalign and it has been a smooth process so far. If you're in the area looking for a dentist, Brighton Dental is great choice.

We have been with Dr. Yu for many years now. Always impressed by how much he cares about each patient. He truly takes the time to make sure all concerns are discussed. The office is quick and efficient in taking care of paperwork and appointments. I'll always recommend Brighton dental to my friends and family!

Took my grandma for her 1st appointment and the boss had a mean mugging face she was in the front didn't bother welcoming us in as new patients the assistants seem nice but management is not good.

I had an emergency and lost half my front tooth. They got me in within 25 mins of calling and every single one of the staff were so kind and incredibly comforting in this scary situation. I would highly recommend them. So very grateful for them.

Been a patient for years. Dr. Yu and his staff are wonderful, professional and personable. great people, great dentist!! Just to add.. Visited yesterday for an old filling that had fallen out. This morning Dr. Yu, himself, called me to ask if I was having any issues!! Not a staff member, but the dentist! called to checkup on me!! Amazing care and service!! Thank You!!

Beyond pleased with my experience at Brighton Dental. I was immediately greeted with super friendly staff, my hygienist (Christina) was amazingly gentle and thorough, and Dr. Yu's examination was extra detailed and explained things in a very easy-to-understand way. They also maintain safe practices in regards to COVID prevention that made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire appointment. Looking forward to my next appointment 6 months from now!
