After completing dental school, Dr. Shepardwas commissioned as an Captain inUS Army Dental Corpsin 1998. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for four years active duty and four years reserve. Once his active duty service obligation was fulfilled, he moved to Philadelphia where he practiced for ten years throughout Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey before finally moving to the metropolitan Atlanta area.
Dr. Shepard has practiced in Metro Atlanta and is now located in Smyrna. Dr. Shepard is commited to providing quality and compassionate dentistry. He was traumatized as a child by a dentist and attempts to make his patients feel calm and relaxed with his mild manner and sense of humor. He wants to make his patients feel like family.
Dr. Shepard is a monthly volunteer atthe Ben Massell Dental Clinic where patients are offered no costdental treatment and the Colgate Dental Bright Smiles Bright Future Dental Van for children. Hecontinues to educate himself by staying on top of the latest dentalprocedures and techniques dentistry has to offer. He has attended conferences and seminars and has completed hundreds ofhours in continuing education. Dr. Shepard enjoys family time, traveling, and working out in his free time.

Brighten Your Smile Dentistry caters to the entire family and we offer a little extra relaxation, such as nitrous oxide or oral sedatives, for the apprehensive patient. Our office is always accepting new and emergency patients as well.

Unfortunately this was the worst experience I've had. Unexperienced hygienist, rushed, poorly done, horrible bedside manner by the provider. Unfortunately do not recommend.

During a long visit from out of town, I ended up needing a root canal on an already semi-problematic tooth. This office was able to see me the same day I called and asked for a consultation, which was wonderful considering the amount of pain I was in! Thanks, abscess The front desk staff was friendly, attentive to my needs, and straightforward about payment and insurance information. Doctor Shepard and his assistant (I can't recall her name, but she's super pretty) were fabulous-- they explained everything that needed to be done, showed me Xrays to help explain, answered whatever questions I had, and were very gentle during procedure. I was able to have my root canal done the day after my consultation, and pricing was comparable to the other root canals I've had done in the past. And, the procedure went by quickly, which is great considering that I'm quite fearful of dental work overall! I would certainly recommend this office as a whole, and especially to those who are fearful of dental work/etc. They did a great job of keeping a mellow atmosphere while doing good work.

The staff and doctor are simply phenomenal. I have never felt at ease when going to the dentist until now. He was very thorough when explaining and kept me informed during the entire procedure. The office itself is well kept and everyone is personable yet professional at the same time. I'm thankful to have found their practice. :)

No better dentist, anywhere, period. I've literally never seen a doctor go so far out of their way to help someone. What's more is the entire staff is that way. I can't say enough. Go to Brighten Your Smile Dentistry, you won't be disappointed.

It's been a very long time since I have been to a dental practice that doesn't leave your sitting in the waiting area for sometimes as long as an hour without being seen. I have ALWAYS been seen with the 1st 10 minutes of my appointment time. The staff is very friendly and professional and it's refreshing to walk behind the door into a clean, state of the art facility. Dr. Shepherd always explains the steps and and procedures he is taking...I would recommend Brighten Your Smile Dentistry to anyone!!!

Profesional!!! I pain for a whole week because I was scared to go to the dentist. I finally couldn't take it anymore. I went in and the ladies at the front desk was so friendly and kind. The assistant made me feel really comfortable and went over everything with me before the doctor came in. Dr Shepard is great, very friendly and kind, he look at my x-rays and told me he has to take the tooth out. I was so scared of the needles he was gentle and before I knew it my tooth was out and I was on my way home. Ill definitely will be back for a routine check up!

Let me start by saying today 8/29/19 I woke up with a bad tooth that had been in my mouth for years. I called there was a little miscommunication but nothing serious at all.. i've been coming to the dentist since 2016 when they were located on Windy Hill rd.. he's the best I could cry how much he is a big help. Dr Keith Shepard thank you so freaking much god is good and your are Wonderful thank you for my service today and I'll be seeing you in a few weeks. I recommend everybody to go here nice place smells good great and i mean great staffing.... I have like a personal bond with the staff that's there... my son loves them as well and they love him too THANKS SO MUCH

I've been going to dr Shepard for a long time he's the best. His assistant are the best, so sweet!!! I've never felt unsafe or uncomfortable with anybody as long as I've been a patient!
