Jared Young, D.M.D. is a Board Certified Specialist, with his practice limited to Invisalign. He served as the President of the Broward County Dental Association and is a Diplomate of The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Young received his dental training in Florida, at Nova Southeastern University where he was a recipient of the Pierre Fauchard Academy Scholarship. Originally from Michigan, he then returned to Childrens Hospital of Michigan to serve as Chief Resident where he completed 2 years of specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry.
This specialty training involved education in general anesthesia, emergency medicine, cardiology, pediatric medicine, cleft lip/palate, conscious sedation, orthodontics, oral surgery, growth and development, and operating room dentistry. Graduating with Highest Honors from Michigan State University with a Bachelors in Psychology, Dr. Young loves interacting with people and patients.
Dr. Young plays an active role in the community and maintains memberships to the local Rotary Club and Pompano Chamber of Commerce. He also served as past chair of the Broward Dental Associations Give Kids a Smile charity and sponsors local school and community events whenever possible.
Dr. Young maintains membership to the American Dental Association, American Academy of Clear Aligners, Florida Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Broward County Dental Association. He served on the Board of Trustees of The American Student Dental Association; on the ADAs Council on Access, Prevention, and Interprofessional Relations; and on the FDAs Sub-council on the New Dentist.
Dr. Catherine is originally from the Washington, DC area but considers herself a Floridian, living in the state since 1998. She graduated with highest honors from Florida State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and went on to pursue her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern Universitys College of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Catherine completed a General Practice Residency Program at the University of Toledo Medical Center, OH. There she gained advanced training in General Dentistry as well experience in Emergency Medicine, Anesthesia, General and Oral Surgery. Dr. Catherine invests her time in extensive continuing education training with focus in the areas of Cosmetic Dentistry and Full Mouth Smile Rehabilitations.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Catherine Young is a busy mom to 3 young children, a son Mason and boy/girl twins Fox and Ivy. She spends most of her time playing with her children and the family dog, practicing hot yoga, outdoor running, gardening, photography and listening to audiobooks. She and her family reside in the Lighthouse Point area and are honored to serve this community.
Dr. Michael Gaffney is originally from Phoenix, AZ and relocated to the beautiful state of Florida to attend Florida Atlantic University where he achieved both his Bachelors of Science and Masters Degree in Biology. When considering career paths, Dr. Gaffney chose dentistry as he found it to be the perfect blend of patient care, medicine and art. He feels a healthy smile is universally admired as a sign of beauty and overall well-being.
While attending the University of Florida, Dr. Gaffney was president of the University of Florida College of Dentistrys second oldest fraternity, Psi Omega. During his tenure his chapter was awarded the National Chapter of the Year award and Volunteer Service Award. Dr. Gaffney was personally awarded the National Council Fraternal Achievement Award.
Dr. Gaffney particularly enjoys serving the Lighthouse Point community at Bright Young Smiles. He says I love coming to work because every member of our team is enthusiastic about being here. We understand that exceptional patient care goes beyond what occurs in the dental chair. Our front desk, hygienists, and assistants show up every day eager to make a positive impact.
Dr. Marcela Solarte was born in Colombia and raised in Weston, Florida. She believes in the upmost quality care for all her patients and families, emphasizing trust and personalized attention. She completed her undergraduate and dental degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She earned her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry from NYU Langone Lutheran Medical Center. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
Dr. Solarte is a certified Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is an active member in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Her hobbies include spending time with her loved ones, exploring new places, hiking and running with her dog, sports, fishing, and volunteering.
Dr. Alisa Kleiman is a South Florida native. She completed her undergraduate education at University of Florida receiving her bachelors degree in Psychology. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City. Following dental school she completed a one year General Practice Residency at Robert Wood Johnson in New Jersey.
Dr. Kleiman is a dedicated practitioner that will always strive to provide comprehensive dental care with comfort and understanding. Her hope is to exceed her patients oral health goals, while remaining up-to-date with the latest technology in dentistry.
She maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Florida Dental Association, Atlantic Coast Dental Association, Broward County Dental Association, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
