Dr. David Yugraduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry Six-Year combined Bachelors of Science/DDS program in 1998. Upon graduation, Dr. Yu was accepted tothe Advanced Education for General Dentistry (AEGD) program at the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. This residency program provided him with advanced training in all aspects of dentistry, including oral surgery, geriatric care, pediatric care, and prosthodontics (dentures and bridges).
Dr. Yu is a native Houstonian. He has been practicing dentistry in Southwest Houston, Sharpstown, Bellaire, and Gulfton for 20 years. He enjoys serving the community where he grew up and lives. He givespresentations at local schools to teach children how to maintain good oral health and supports local charities, like JJWatt Foundation.
When Dr. Yu isnt in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. Their favorite activities are going to the Houston Zoo, the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and trying out new restaurants. Dr. Yu is passionate about physical fitness. He loves biking, weight training at 24hour Fitness, and running at Memorial Park.

I always have a pleasant experience when I have an appointment at Bright Value Dental. The staff is always professional, always happy and helpful. Dr. Yu is an excellent Dentist!! Great place. Front office is friendly and professional. Staff is Knowledgeable and courteous. Dr. Yu is experienced, tactful yet straightforward, and answered all of my questions in a digestible manner.

He has been my family's dentist for about 15 years or more. So glad my mom (Cynthia) showed me his office location. My baby (15months) was very comfortable. New generation same great dentist.

Honestly the best experience. Dr. Yu was very gentle with the cleaning and explained everything every step of the way. The whole staff was very welcoming and made me feel very relaxed. I definitely made the right decision coming to Bright Value Dental.

I've been going to Bright Value Dental for years. Dr. David Yu and his whole staff are the best!!! Super friendly, very knowledgeable and most of all, THEY CARE ABOUT YOU. We now live further but I still choose to come to Dr. Yu bec of the warm and wonderful experience--it makes scary dental work a little less scary. I had a wonderful experience at Bright Value Dental. I went in for dental cleaning and filling last week. Dr. Yu was professional and extremely gentle in cleaning my teeth, which had buildup of tartars. Dr. Yu also patiently discussed treatment options for my cavity. His assistant Joel went out of his way to ease my nervousness, while taking the X rays for my teeth. Sandra, the receptionist, was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. The office is very clean, bright and cheerful. In summary , I will definitely recommend this dental clinic to everyone who is looking for superb dental care. I plan to go back regularly to maintain good oral health!

I came here for the first time for routine dental check-up and cleaning. I have asked to not have the X-ray done, as I wanted to keep all my images with my dentist back home, and they happily complied with my request. I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist, and Dr. Yu and Lupita did a phenomenal job with my cleaning. I highly recommend Dr. Yu and his entire clinical team!
