As professional dental practitioners, we know you need to be very careful when entrusting an office with the dental care of your children. We are just as careful when choosing providers for our own children. Our office has created a team of highly experience parents to care for your special little guys and gals. We are all fully trained in dentistry for children and, more importantly, we genuinely care about every child who comes through our doors. Our office philosophy is to create Bright Stars, not only by sending them out with great smiles, but also by being great role models for every child. We want your child to look at our doctors and think I can do that.I can be a doctor, dentist, or any other profession I set my mind to. We sincerely believe we can be an asset to the community one smile at a time!
Now for a tour of our beautiful state-of-the-art office in Commerce City, right next door to Reunion. We specifically designed the office with both interesting, but calming colors to keep your children happy and relaxed. As you can see, we have TVs above the chairs to keep the youngsters amused while they get their smiles brightened. Our radiology center is strictly low dose radiation and is designed for function and comfort. We love the wonderful open design with lots of light and sunshine!
Born and raised in Uganda, Dr. Lawrence Musanje is a true man of letters! Those letters include DDS, PHD and DDS again. After his initial education at the Wuhan University in China, where he earned his first Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS), Dr. Musanje continued his education earning a PhD in dental filling materials from the University of Hong Kong. He then went on to do five years of research and teaching as a post-doctoral fellow at Oregon Health and Science University. He then furthered his education at The University of Colorado, School of Dental Medicine where he was awarded another DDS degree. Dr. Lawrence, as he is called by both patients and parents, has been well prepared to care for children here in Colorado. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children (Angelica, age 13 and Judith, age 15) and as a family they enjoy tennis, jogging, horseback riding and hiking.
Dr. Musanjes kind, gentle demeanor and years of dental training create a welcoming environment for first time patients and regular visitors here in the office. He knows that each child is a unique and special bright star, and he takes the time to work with them to overcome dental anxiety.
Dr. Michael Holmberg grew up in Minnesota and was drawn to Colorado during his national and international competitions in the Colorado mountains. He completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado Boulder in Chemical Engineering. After graduating, Michael worked on improving science education at CU and coached and mentored young athletes. Dr. Michael likes to see peoples big smiles and decided to pursue dentistry. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Michaels connection with kids is unmistakable. He found immediate satisfaction working with kids and fostering fun dental experiences at any age. Outside of the office, Dr. Michael got married in 2016. He and his wife Rebecca enjoy skiing, cooking, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Like most comments I have nothing but good things to say about this office! They're great with kids! After a bad experience with a previous dentist my 8 year old was terrified of just a cleaning but the dentist here really made her feel comfortable and we were able to get her cavities taken care of!

Dr. Lawrence and the staff were kind and helpful. Dr. Lawrence explained everything thoroughly. He was also really fun during the exam which helped my elementary aged daughter feel comfortable. This was her first appt at a new dentist and it went so well! I saw some cavities on the X-rays immediately after the staff took them, before Dr. Lawrence came in. It was great that he was not aggressive with his treatment plan at all. I've heard horror stories of dentists telling parents that their kid has a lot of cavities and then they get second opinions and the kid has none or way less. This was NOT the case here. My daughter had a fairly large cavity on a baby tooth and instead of recommending a filling, he said he could extract it but that it wouldn't be necessary bc it would fall out eventually and soon bc it was already wiggling. She also had a small cavity on an adult tooth and he did recommend a filling for that one and sealants on her molars which is typically common practice. He also took the time to explain to my daughter how a cavity is formed, how to avoid them, and showed her the X-rays. These are her first cavities. It's been tough to get her on board with flossing every single day and I think it was different (in a better way) when Dr. Lawrence explained flossing to her. He was very chipper and kind and explained things in a fun way, fit for kids her age. Her appt was yesterday and last night and this morning, I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to remind her to brush and floss. She was going ham flossing her teeth! I highly recommend Dr. Lawrence and the staff! The customer service at the front desk was great too!

Excellent experience!! Dr. Michael and the hygienist/assistants were the best I've ever experienced! They were gentle and reassuring to all our kids, very thorough, and it was refreshing to have a dentist not recommend unnecessary treatment. The office is clean, bright, and welcoming. Front office staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this office for any child but they were phenomenal with our kids that had hesitancy and concerns. Would give them 10 stars if I could!

Took my 4 yo to this dentist after seeing another and not making it through the cleaning. This location is fantastic. The staff were phenomenal and I really liked Dr. Lawrence. Made it through x-rays, cleaning and a little bit of de-scaling.

We love coming to Bright star my son always is treated so well and I feel comfortable knowing we are getting the best dental care. They are the best in kids dentistry. Dr. Michael is great with kids and I know he really cares!
