Dr. Bright completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Florida here in Jacksonville. While earning his degree, he served as a volunteer dental assistant at the Sulzbacher Center for the homeless and as a math and science tutor for children living at the center. It was there that he realized his career interest in dentistry could be combined with his passion for helping children.
Graduating magna cum laude from UNF with a BS degree in Biology and a Minor in Public Health, Dr. Bright went on to earn his DMD from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. He then pursued two additional years of specialty training completing his Pediatric Dental Residency at the University of Kentucky Hospital where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Bright has extensive training and experience with children that have special healthcare needs, anxiety and sensory processing demands. Dr. Bright is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association and the Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
He and his wife live in St Johns County with their two children, Harrison and Amelia. The Brights love exploring the outdoors, traveling and spending time with family and friends. In his spare time, Dr. Bright enjoys a good tennis match and playing experimental chef with new foods and recipes.

From our bright office colors and welcoming atmosphere to our state-of-the-art technology, our practice was specifically designed with your child in mind. Our inviting lobby keeps our little patients entertained with computer games and a kids play area stocked with toys. Patients and parents alike are also encouraged to take advantage of our office-wide Wifi while they relax in our comfortable, cozy seating area. Weve also equipped each private treatment room with an overhead television monitor and headphones to help your child feel at ease during their treatment.

My children went today for the first time and we had such a great experience with everyone . The doctor was great very understanding and patient. Everyone is super friendly. Definitely happy that my children are provided such good care at this dentistry.

My daughter gets really nervous and scared when going to the dentist and yesterday's visit was no different. However, this time, she had a very pleasant experience. Even though she was very nervous, Taylor, who was her dental hygienist, did such an amazing job and even had my daughter smiling and laughing! She was so patient and kind and really cared about making sure my daughter was comfortable! Her dentist, Dr. Lais, was just as amazing and kind! My daughter left her appointment with a big smile on her face and said that was the best dental visit she's ever had and she's not scared to go back! I just want to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for being so patient and incredibly kind to her! It definitely helped ease her fear of going to the dentist!

Our baby daughter needed a frenectomy and we came her to get it done. The staff is so friendly and Dr. Bright is wonderful! Very happy we chose here. The procedure was very fast and they are very willing to help if there are any questions afterwards. Dr. Bright takes the time to make sure your little ones are all well. Really great first impression of Bright Smiles!

Had to run in for an emergency appt for my 5 yr old. His primary couldn't get him in, and couldn't see him until October! They told me to call another pediatrician dentist. Bright Smiles dentistry was able to see him within an hour. They were amazing! So kind and made my little guy feel so comfortable. I officially switched my kids to this office. We LOVE Bright Smiles! I took both of my sons there after their first dental experience wasn't so great. The Bright Smile team was so awesome with them! They helped them feel comfortable and relaxed. It definitely was a stress free dental visit. Would recommend 100 times for pediatric dentist!

We absolutely LOVE bright smiles. I took my daughter for her first appointment at four, she was nervous. The staff was AMAZING. Not a single tear shed, and she was excited to come back for her filling. I can't rave about this office enough!

Bright Smiles is the first dentist my 3 year old has been too, and they have done a great job at making her feel comfortable. We loved the staff so much, we signed our 2 year old up for our next 6 month visit. My daughter absolutely loves that Dr. Bright and the staff always say "princess polish" when they clean her teeth. My daughter had to have 4 primary teeth removed yesterday to continue her journey with braces. The staff has been helpful getting us scheduled. My daughter has not had any complaints. She said she was able to wear headphones and the shots were not bad.

When I took my son to Dr Bright it was for a 3rd opinion and am I ever glad I did it! 2 other dentists said he needed a Crown and had other cavities, Dr Bright only found one and it didn't need any drilling, just some medication on the tooth l, a fold cleaning and then a silver crown. .he was so gental my son Had no idea they were even working on him as before we've always had to be out to sleep for work. Since that faithful day we've been cavity free, his fear and anxiety about going is gone! The staff is always welcoming, kind, and up beat! Any chance I get I recommend this amazing office !

Everything about this office is wonderful! The entire team is so kind and great with both my children. It is clean and very child friendly. With both routine and emergency visits I have left completely happy and impressed. When needed they got us in quickly and put my momma heart at ease when I was worried. Even when complications in billing happened they helped me in ever way they could. We unfortunately have tested them in all areas and every time they prove that this is the best place to go.
