Not having been born here, people often ask, What brought you to Alaska? Well, it was always one of my childhood dreams to move to and live in Alaska. I can finally say I have seen that dream come true and more importantly, I love it here! What a wonderful place to live, work, play, and raise a family. I am a graduate of the University of Washington (Go Dawgs!) and have been practicing as a general dentist since 2008. I appreciate the variety and challenge that comes with general dentistry and I am committed to helping people achieve their goals.

When not working, I find great enjoyment in working with youth groups and providing service in my church. My greatest pleasure comes from spending time with my family and in introducing my two boys to all of the wonderful outdoor activities that Alaska has to offer. I would value the opportunity to meet you and discuss what my team and I can do for you. We have a passion for helping and will work hard to provide you the quality dental care you deserve.

I love what I do! I get great personal joy helping people improve their health, smiles, and lives. When I am not working I enjoy the outdoors with my kids, teaching them new skills and lifes lessons. I can also be found almost daily on the local trails training for my next marathon or weekly at a movie or local restaurant on a date with my wonderful wife.

A graduate of Oregon Health Sciences University, I have spent 20 years in practice with 17 of those wonderful years in the great state of Alaska. I look forward to meeting you, your family, and friends.

Jeri Buell is a long-time dental hygienist, caring for smiles since 1985, she is an even longer-time Alaskan, living here since the age of one but we wont say how many years that is! She is married to an Alaska Airlines pilot (woohoo, flight benefits!) and has two grown daughters who make her very proud and if they dont, she blames their dad.

Jeri enjoys traveling, boating, gardening, garage-saling and her three grand-dogs. Her favorite thing of all though, is playing with the grandson one of her daughters so graciously providedfinally! Its true what they say, grandkids are the best!

Michelle has been a proud member of our team since 2017, after she graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She had always known that she wanted to work in the healthcare industry but didnt consider dental hygiene as her chosen field of expertise until her own childhood hygienist suggested it. Michelle laughed off this suggestion at first; however, after joining this career field, it is clear that her childhood hygienist knew what she was talking about. Michelle couldnt be happier as a dental professional!

Michelle would be happy to help you keep your mouth healthy at your next dental visit! She is passionate about connecting with people and making our dental office a comfortable place to be. On occasion, she is even known for playing the guess the polishing paste flavor game with her patients. Be sure to stop by and say hello next time you visit the office!

Staci is a dental hygienist, a mom to 5, a wife of a basketball coach and a professional McDonalds Diet Coke drinker. Sadly, most are unpaid positions. There is no doubt that she could be paid as a rep for McDonalds Diet Coke. She is just that good! She was raised in Alaska and still, to this day, get sick on a fishing boat. So, her status of a sourdough is compromised:) She love reading, scrapbooking and eating nachos. Not necessarily in that order. Sometimes she is just all about the nachos. And the Diet Coke . She has never met a ray of sunshine that she hasnt loved!

Brijon joined our Bright Smiles Dental team in 2014. As the Financial Coordinator, shes here to help patients have a smooth check-out experience by explaining how their insurance can help with their treatment needs and what options are available to fitting treatment costs into their budget.

Brijon has decades of experience in the dental office. She grew up in a dental family here in South Anchorage and was put to work as soon as she knew her alphabet well enough to make and file charts. What kid wouldnt love playing with labeling stickers and a typewriter? Shes worked in both the clinical and clerical sides of dentistry and enjoys the diversity of being able to help in multiple areas.

When shes not working at the office, she can be found working at home taking care of her husband and four kids, taking classes in pursuit of a bachelors degree in Business Management, teaching youth at her church, reading, playing at a playground with the kids, singing to every song she hears, and trying out new recipes for her family and coworkers. Her secrets to peace and keeping her sanity are faith, prayer, music, and a good nights sleep.

Stephanie is a skilled dental assistant who enjoys her profession. She loves to give back to her community. She is much attuned to the patients needs. Educating and informing her patients as well as a little flare of dental humor is her specialty.

She was born and raised in Homer, Alaska where she enjoys her free time. Her hobbies include fishing, foraging, riding bike, and cherishes quality time with family and friends. She is very knowledgeable in many of natures wonders and instills her knowledge and respect in her son. Stephanie has a wide variety of life experiences and stories that are fun chatting about.
