Dr. Brett Clifton received his dentistry degree from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA in 1986. Prior to entering dentistry he graduated Walla Walla College in Washington State with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
Immediately upon receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Clifton entered a hospital based General Practice Residency. As a Dental Resident he studied academic and clinical procedures in dental and medical specialties. Medical rotations included: Anesthesiology, ENT, Radiology, Surgery and ER medicine. Advanced training in dental specialties included: periodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral pathology and oral medicine as part of the American Dental Association accredited residency program.
Although Brett has enjoyed his time in academics he has always considered his primary interest to be hands on dental care. He served as Faculty Sponsor and Clinical Supervisor for the Students International Mission Service for four years. He has been personally involved with providing dentistry overseas and in remote areas including Africa, Saipan, Guam, Mexico and Alaska.

Great visit! Went in for a standard cleaning. Val did a great job and gave me a bunch of good information I didn't know about brushing and my gums. Dr. cleaned up some rough spots for me. Great pricing and great service. Would highly recommend!

While vacationing on the mainland from Hawai'i, I had the misfortune of damaging my crown. After calling several dental offices who couldn't accommodate me, I was thrilled to find Bright Smiles in Grand Junction. From the very first phone call, the staff was very professional and went out of their way to work me into their busy schedule. When I arrived, I promptly received the dental treatment I needed and everyone was so kind. Kudos to Dr. Clifton and all the staff! If I could rate more than 5 stars, I definitely would. Mahalo nui loa!

Dr. Clifton and the staff are amazing! I have seen many dentists over the years but this was absolutely the best dental experience I have had. I fully trust Dr. Clifton and his staff. His hygienist gives me the most thorough cleanings I've ever had, and she's super gentle. They recently fitted me for an occlusion guard because I have TMJ syndrome from grinding my teeth. I've gotten so used to chronic jaw pain that I had no idea how much better I could feel. After getting the occlusion guard, I noticed improvement right away. My jaw doesn't ache any more! Dr. Clifton is very honest and takes time to explain treatment and answer questions.

I have gone to Bright smile for 3 years now and just got done with cosmetic reconstruction. I love them! Now I am not embarrassed to make a big smile. Dr. Clifton did such a great job. His front desk is always nice and helpful.

Dr. Clifton and his Bright Smiles staff are the best dental team in town. I wanted IPR for years and was blown off by my old dentist who told me I needed $5k braces instead for a tiny straightening Dr. Clifton did in one visit!
