Bright Smile Dental is a Chicago based family dentist practice that treats patients of all ages. Dr. Marina Vitkin is a graduate of Northwestern University Dental School. She founded Bright Smile Dental Ltd. in 1997. Dr Vitkin takes as many continuing education courses as possible to give the best possible care to her patients. She strives to make all patients feel appreciated and comfortable, and makes sure the office is run professionally and smoothly.

There is always a joke and a smile for everyone, especially the kids, who never leave without a new toothbrush and a sticker or two. A huge sports fan, Dr. Vitkin follows not only the local professional teams, but also USA National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team, of which her daughter was a member for four years, and the National Tennis Circuit, since her son was a College level player. Both of her kids worked as Receptionists/Assistants at the office, before entering LECOM School of Dental Medicine, where Jon graduated as part of the class of 2016 and Stephanie, the class of 2018.

Dr. Elizabeth Grys is a 1990 graduate of Northwestern University Dental School (NUDS). After graduation she entered the United States Air Force and completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. In 1993 she returned to Northwestern University Dental School and began her residency in Periodontics which she completed in 1995, and obtained a Master of Science Degree from Northwestern University in 1996.

She was asked to stay on as faculty at the dental school and remained there until it closed in 2001. She also has been in the private practice of Periodontics since 1995. She has been associated with Bright Smile Dental since the practice was opened.

Involved with her profession she is actively involved with the Midwest Society of Periodontics, serving as president in 2013/14. She also serves on the alumni board of NUDS. When not working she enjoys singing in her church choir and traveling.

Dr. Alexander Osovsky has been practicing general dentistry in the Chicago area since 1996. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1992 with a degree inn Biochemistry. Afterwards, he Attended UIC College of Dentistry where he received his DDS degree in 1996.

Dr. Osovskys main objective is to provide his patients with excellent dental care. Over the period of the last 19 years he completed over 2000 hours of continuing education in order to keep up with the latest techniques in dentistry to better serve his patients and give them beautiful smiles.

Dr. Osovsky and his wife Maria have been married for 17 years and have two daughters, Samantha and Erica. In addition to English, Dr. Osovsky speaks Russian fluently. He looks forward to making his patients smile.

The team at Bright Smile Dental believe in the importance of preventative care. We focus on keeping patients in good oral health so that they can live a full, healthy, and enjoyable life that is free from oral pain. This starts by educating our patients on what they can do to stay healthy at home. In our family dentist office we recommend that patients eat a healthy diet that consists of green leafy vegetables, lean protein, nuts, dairy products, and crunchy fruits and veggies. Eating these foods along with drinking water can help to keep teeth healthy and make them stronger. By simultaneously reducing sugar intake, patients can also reduce their risk of cavities.

It is also important to brush and floss throughout the day. Instead of waiting for bedtime to brush teeth, carry a small toothbrush and use it after meals and snacks. This makes it possible to remove sugar and bacteria from the teeth and gums before it has the opportunity to turn into acid that can attack the teeth. This preventative step can greatly reduce a persons' risk of getting a cavity or gum disease. We understand the importance of taking these steps at home and will spend the time necessary to educate and inform patients so that they can stay healthy overall.
