Spray, scrub, wipe repeat. Its our new favorite sound. Weve always been committed to the highest safety standardsbut now deep cleaning is done before, during and after visits even in the lobby. Our teams are geared up (literally watch the video) to sanitize equipment, chairs, tables, door handles, countertops etc. many times a day. And we dont stop there. PPE (think masks, gloves, gowns, and face shields) is worn by everyone in the office. Even patients get to take part by keeping masks on at all times except when being treated and doing a good disinfecting rinse before and after care.

Super duper friendly and honest staff who made me feel especially comfortable after a 10 year absence from the dentist. Highly recommend them!

Dr. Shar is a very skilled DDS, quickly found an issue that was bothering me for a long time. I also needed a crown and what makes Dr Shar special is that he takes the least aggressive course of treatment. I was borderline need of a RCT and he used his skill to avoid saving me from pain and additional expenses. At one time I saw another DDS which told me I needed 5 crowns, went back to Dr. Shar and said that unnecessary treatment. Dr. Shar is the only DDS in the office due to covid and is extremely busy working between patients. Faith, is new to the office which helps the patient with crown fitting, buffing the teeth etc. After the tough work is done by Dr. Shar is just simply amazing. So patient and friendly. Spent a lot of time to ensure my temp crown is to my comfort. She needs to be recognized! Thank you Dr. Shar for your service and no desire to rip off or over do services not needed which is a Hugh worry to many.

I went to this office this morning. I have an insurance company that assigns dentists--this was my assigned dental office. I went to receive a comprehensive exam and preventative cleaning--my usual. I am new to the area so I needed to establish care at a new dentist. I was greeted by front desk staff with annoyance rather than a welcoming attitude. I arrived 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork. I still waited past my 0900 appointment to be seen (how far behind can you be this early in the morning?). Then the X-rays were rushed and painful and the dentist exam was less than 30 seconds. I was told all I needed was a preventative cleaning (what I expected) and was told to schedule with the front desk staff a couple of months out. Already frustrated I settled in to the notion I would be waiting a couple of months for my teeth to feel fresh and clean. When front desk staff were finally able to book an appointment (waited again in the waiting room) I was told I would have to keep calling back as there was NO dental hygienists to do cleaning at all for the foreseeable future. When I mentioned going to another provider, the person at the front desk smirked and said, "well you have to come here because this is your assigned dentist." I smiled and said, "yes, but I can change that" and I watched as her face shifted to recognizing that I know my patient rights and know when a business is not treating me respectfully and appropriately I can take my healthcare and business elsewhere. FYI, if you have never dealt with insurance. Insurance will only cover one comprehensive exam every six months and most trustworthy dentists will not offer dental services such as preventative cleaning without an exam because of their own liability (makes sense) so essentially I am out one cleaning and will have to find another provider in six months to do an exam and cleaning. The person at the front desk could offer a referral to avoid this fee to me but refused. They stated that I can just request my medical records be sent over; however, once again due to liability many dentists feel uncomfortable offering care without assessing their patients first (once again, makes total sense to me). The frustrating part is there was no mention of a lack of dental hygienists when they called to confirm the appointment which they obviously knew 24 hours ago. Moreover, dentists are also capable of doing cleanings but clearly they do not feel that this is in their job description at this location. It is as if they will keep monitoring their patients and refuse preventative care until there is a true problem for which they can financially gain. I have reported this business to my insurance and they are investigating continuing a partnership with this company. Patients beware!

One year later... getting an answering machine message saying they're closed and it's after hours even when calling an hour later in case of a lunch break. This has been going on now for months. Previous review: Answered all my questions. Very polite and caring dental team. Let me know that my pain is important to manage and they'll do gel, gas, ect If I need it. Really great hygienist and dentist. The best I've ever had and I would highly recommend.

I made my appointment weeks in advance for a check up and cleaning. I was never told that they do not have a hygienist on staff right now so I went to my appointment and was told I'm now on a waitlist to actually get my teeth cleaned. On top of that I told the dentist that I had been having pain but he just said I don't have any cavities from the X-rays and left. Unfortunately they are the only ones that take my dental insurance so I'm stuck with this until open enrollment. This appointment was such a huge waste of my time. If you have a choice on where to go, don't go here.

I've never felt uncomfortable going to a dentist in my life, and this place throws me off every single time I have any interaction with them, I would rather take out a personal loan and pay anywhere else without insurance, and you should too.

Avoid this place if possible! My family recently moved to Spokane and needed to get annual check ups/cleanings done. My insurance is Cigna and my plan limited us to Bright Now Dental. I chose the North Spokane office because of the location. My appointment came first.. They didn't have enough employees, so I my first interaction was with a temp/sub worker who didn't know where anything was and wasn't sure how to operate all of the equipment. You can imagine how my X-rays went. I expected a cleaning, but was surprised to hear that I wasn't getting a cleaning and that I needed to schedule a two appointment deep cleaning that wasn't covered by insurance. I opted out and didn't return. Now for my wife's experience... Similar to mine, her first appointment ended up being a checkup that didn't include a cleaning and ended with needing a two appointment deep cleaning. A couple of weeks later while on vacation, my wife noticed a pain in her top front left tooth. She went to a dentist while out of town who discovered a vertical crack along the tooth, needing a root canal and crown. The out of town dentist did the root canal but wasn't able to produce an on-site tooth(neither can Bright Now Dental), so she waited for the crown until returning to Spokane. Once back, she scheduled an appointment to get the crown done. First Crown Appointment: The work was performed by an assistant, not the dentist. The first temporary was so bad that my wife asked them to redo it while still there. The second temporary, which she ended up with for three weeks, was still awful. The color wasn't even close. We are talking the FRONT TOOTH, so multiple shades off is ridiculous and unacceptable. Second Crown Appointment: After hiding her smile and mouth for three weeks, the first permanent tooth came back and the color was worse than the temporary that was currently in her mouth, so they ordered another permanent and put a new temporary on. Third Crown Appointment: Another few weeks went by and the second permanent arrived. To no surprise, the color was still off but better than the temporary, so they(the actual Dentist this time) put it on and told her they would order one more permanent to get the color right. Fourth Crown Appointment: After a week the tooth FELL OUT of her mouth! She had to go back and get it glued back in. Fifth Crown Appointment: Once the third permanent arrived, she went back for her 5th and final appointment. This place is a rip off with the "two appointment cleanings" and clearly performs unprofessional work. Fortunately my insurance open enrollment was in July, so I changed my dental plan solely so we don't have to go back here!

The staff are all amazing. Welcoming, kind and empathetic. I avoided the dentist for over 6 years due to previously horrible experience, but Bright Now changed my outlook and took extremely great care of me. Can't wait to continue my dental work with them and have my smile back. Thank you Bright Now Dental team.

Very welcoming environment. The front desk staff makes you feel right at home immediately when you walk in the door. Everything was on time and it was an extremely professionally run office. Dr. Abualshar (Shar), was very nice, informative, honest and straight forward. We have been to other dentists that exaggerated what our needs were in order to make more money. It was a relief to find a dentist with integrity. The dental team was very professional, courteous and understanding They explained very well what was going on. The best dental care we have ever experienced! Would highly recommend to anyone!!!

This place has rescheduled us numerous times it's ridiculous. They have 1 orthodontist who works every so often so our appointments are constantly being moved. On top of that we get confirmation calls multiple times to confirm our appointments and this is last time we confirmed the appointment via text AND a phone call TWICE and we show up to the appointment and they said due to the air conditioner not working they couldn't see my sons. We live across town so better communication would be nice. If I had a choice I would switch providers ASAP.

I had an appointment scheduled for 12:00pm and called in advance that day to confirm that appointment time as I had to leave work to be there. When I arrived I was told how much my total payment would be. 45 minutes later when I still hadn't been called back I asked at the front desk if it was going to be much longer and was told, quite rudely, that it would be another 5 minutes. Flash to fifteen minutes later when I'm finally called back I'm set in the chair and given shots in my mouth that the same rude assistant stops the dentist to have me sign an updated bill that's $50 higher than was originally quoted. I begrudgingly sign that and am handed another form that has all the policies that I have to agree with. After all that the dentist does a great quick job and am asked where I'd like my prescription sent. I provide the address and name of the store and leave. Cut to four hours later when I start feeling pain and wonder why I haven't gotten a call from the pharmacy so I call and they say they have nothing sent to them. I called the dentist to verify the prescription and was told they just sent it. Another hour goes by and again the pharmacy has no prescription sent. Now it's after hours so I call the after hours line and they say they have no prescriptions sent to any pharmacy so I again provide the address and phone number of the pharmacy I'd like to use only to get a call from one on the other side of town that my prescription is ready. I thought the actual dentist was fantastic but the staff and communication was well below the lowest I've seen even at fast food restaurants.

The work was good, have used them for years. I was utterly shocked though to get a bill for 650.00 for 2 tiny fillings behind my 2 front teeth for a small chipped tooth that didnt even show on the front, no cavities, no extensive drilling or complicated surfaces to fill and level. Litterly took the dentist 5 minutes to do the work! Nice atmosphere, nice people, good work, just in my mind, this visit was ridiculously priced! Should have used my nail acrylics and filled it in, lol.

Scheduled me for the wrong appt when I first started going here and had me reschedule. When I finally got the right appointment it was only 5 minutes of a doctor glancing in my mouth and then saying my wisdom teeth are ready, which would have been $150 for the appt if i didnt sign up for the care plan they offer that made it $15. When I went in to pay for my wisdom teeth a few days beforehand, their card machine wasnt working and I was told to go pull out cash and they could make an exception for me. I come back with cash and am told that they do not accept cash, and I have to go get a money order. So I leave again and get the money order, finally paying for my appt 1.5 hrs later. On the day of the appointment, I didnt get in until an hour and a half after my appointment time. They didnt talk me through anything and were rushing from being behind on time.I didnt get a doctors note for work after asking for one multiple times before and after the surgery. Was rushed out with no wheelchair or proper instructions. And they didnt give me my teeth :( Edit: And they forgot two out of the three ekg stickers on me. Goes to show just how hurried they were to get me out and I wont be surprised if I have further issues with my teeth due to this facility. they didnt send out my medication for the wisdom teeth extraction until my boyfriend called TWICE wondering where they were at as I was in so much pain with no medication, no antibiotics, or mouth rinse. I had an infection that was not mentioned to me or my boyfriend who has taken me. We were both left completely out of the loop the whole time.

I found the dentist, and the hygienist who perform my dental work and cleaning to be very professional, and excellent. Most of the staff were also quite accommodating, and professional. The reason for the three-star review, has to do with the apparent office manager. On three occasions now; one during the mandatory masking of the pandemic, and two other times since then, there have been people in the lobby without masks. Even though it clearly states on the door, being a medical establishment that masks are required. On the first occasion, the individual appeared to be sick, and coughed several times. In all three cases, the front desk staff has said nothing. By the looks they gave the office manager, when I requested they do something about it, they apparently have been instructed not to say anything. During my most recent visit, after a brief conversation with her, it appears she is not enforcing the rules, or asking the non-compliant patients to mask up for her personal political reasons. It is very annoying, that there are certain uncaring individuals who for political reasons are willing to watch people suffer and die. It is my opinion that the office manager should be replaced, but that is up to the owners and the doctor. As the medical personnel here are excellent, and my insurance requires I use this location, I do not have much of a choice. So I have to put up with the manager who endangers everyone's lives for the sake of ensuring I continue to have adequate health/dental care. In Spokane we have had well over a thousand people die of covid. All of the medical experts agree that number should have been less than 400, but is so high because of the anti-masker movement in Spokane. It is unfortunate that some anti-maskers are in positions of power, and are still endangering lives for misguided political and uneducated personal convictions.
