Periodontics is an amazing field within the profession of dentistry, one that attracted me because I get to help patients meet their goals and create healthy, beautiful, and most importantly, happy smiles. With dental implants, I have the opportunity to allow my patients to replace missing teeth and get back to their lives as if their tooth or teeth were never lost. One of my favorite things about periodontics is that maintaining ideal oral health and function encourages development of long-term relationships with my wonderful patients. Every day is new and exciting, and I like to think I am saving the world, one tooth at a time.
Periodontics is a field that is constantly growing and changing, and of course, I keep abreast of the latest advances in technology and techniques. I have held numerous leadership positions in the Arizona Dental Association (AzDA), including serving as President in 2001 and serving as editor of Inscriptions, AzDAs professional journal, from 2004 to 2008. Twice, I have been awarded the Arizona Award by AzDA as their Dentist of the Year. I am also a faculty speaker for the Pride Institute and have lectured extensively on the topics of practice management and dental implant aesthetics.
Our patients are great about choosing to do the right thing, and I take pride in educating them on proper oral health care. They get excited about being involved in their therapy. Keeping them relaxed is important, and I have the help of a wonderful team of professionals who keep everyone laughing and happy. My team shows commitment through attending continuing dental education courses to provide our patients with state-of-the-art dental care. I am thrilled to lead a team that strives every day to fulfill my vision of exceeding expectations with every patient, for every procedure.
I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, although I have lived in Tucson since 1986. Both of my sons, Adam and Alex, were born in Tucson and are amazing young men. My wife, Jenann, is a faculty member at the University of Arizona. When I am not in the office, you can find me with a camera anywhere I go. I am involved in the Arizona Dental Foundation (ADF), the charitable arm of AzDA, and served as a board member from 1988 to 2011. We coordinate charity dental care throughout the state, focusing on helping kids that might not be able to see dentists regularly without our assistance. Our big event in Southern Arizona each year is Give Kids A Smile, held each February at the Pima Community College dental clinic. I currently serve on the Delta Dental of Arizona Board of Directors and have been active in Deltas charitable foundation as well. I am committed to giving back to my community and I love the happy, healthy smiles that result from these charitable activities.
Im a Tucson Native. Ive been a Dental Assistant since 2009. I have been working with Dr. Harvey since 2015. What an amazing opportunity this has been. Ive been able to take part is so many great surgical procedures.
Ive been working for Dr. Harvey since 2011. initially I was one of his surgical assistant. My role now is the Implant Coordinator. This has been a very exciting position for me. I put together all implant components together for our referral office and their lab. This allows them to custom make the final restoration for the patient. I make sure this is an easy transition for our patients to return to their Dentist. This position also allows me to interact with our referring Dentist their team.
I graduated from Pima Community College as a dental hygienist in 2001, and I have worked for Dr. Harvey since 2002. I enjoy being a part of such a patient-focused office, and I feel lucky to have such a wonderful relationship with all of my team members. I have lived my entire life in Arizona. My husband and I have been happily married since 1992 and I have three beautiful daughters who I love to spend time with.
I have had the extraordinary experience of working with Dr. Harvey since 1993. His knowledge, skill, and integrity are unsurpassed. I have benefited greatly from his teachings and so have our patients! My job responsibilities include providing oral hygiene instruction, supportive periodontal maintenance, localized antibiotic therapy, local anesthesia, and any help I can offer to my teammates. The relationships I have established with our patients have been a very rewarding aspect of my career. Its an honor to work with people and assist them in reaching their oral health goals.
I was born in California but I was raised here in Tucson. Myhusband Michael and I have 2 children, Anayeli and Jazleen. On my spare time we are busy with volleyball, basketball, cheer and softball. I have been assisting for 10years and its been a great opportunity to work with Dr.Harvey. I have taken part in may great surgical procedures and love taking part on helping our patients reach their dental goals.
As Dr. Harvey puts it: 'This is not a clinic, this is my practice. Working with an amazing team I get to insist that we treat everyone every day to a level of excellence that would satisfy me, if I was receiving the treatment. I guarantee that we are not going to tell you that you have to do this or that. Rather, we are going to take the time to listen to you, really listen, so that we can understand what you want, be it improved health, better chewing function, or a more pleasing smile. Then, working together, you, my team and I figure out how to get to that desired end point.'
