Dr. Murdoch is originally from a small community in southeast Idaho, but has considered Alaska home since 2003. Dr. Murdoch and his wife Kristen have been married for 12 years and have 5 energetic kids. They have enjoyed traveling the country and experiencing new places and cities. They were excited however, to return to the hiking, fishing, and hunting of the great Alaskan outdoors while raising their family in the Kodiak community.

Dr Martha Truncale was born and raised in Canada where she studied Human Physiology at McGill University in Montreal. She loved classical ballet in her youth, where she achieved distinction in all levels of Russian Society examinations. Dr. Truncale earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and followed this with a General Practice Residency at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.

Dr Truncale completed her Orthodontic and Dentofacial Orthopaedics Residency at Boston University where she considers herself fortunate to have studied with the world-renowned author, lecturer, professor and orthodontist, Dr Anthony Gianelly. She is a Specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of misaligned teeth and bones and has achieved Board Fellowship with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Dr. Truncale has owned two private practices in Ontario and Connecticut and was a guest lecturer at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.

The Truncale family has relocated many times with the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard over the years and they are happy to be back for a second wonderful assignment to Kodiak. Dr Truncale is an avid hiker, yogi and skier. You can find her, most days, outside in questionable weather. She enjoys sampling the adventures of life on Kodiak with her family.

Dr. Cady moved to Pocatello when he was seven with his parents and four siblings. Michael graduated from Pocatello High School. After serving a two-year mission for his church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he attended Brigham Young University-Idaho, receiving his Bachelors degree in Biology. He then attended Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, receiving his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry. Following this he completed the 2.5 year program at the University of Missouri in Kansas City for post-doctorate studies / residency with specialization in Periodontics.

Dr. Penfield received his dental degree at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and his Bachelor's at Brigham Young University, majoring in Spanish and Zoology. He has since received continued training on implants, cosmetics, lasers, three-dimensional radiology, sedation, invisible braces, as well as other aspects of dentistry. James has flown around the world to train with some of the best dental professionals. He is a member of the ADA, AGD, Sustaining member of the AACD, he also studies at the prestigious KOIS center and Masterships at the ICOI. A member of Crown Council and Richardson Group Coaching. Dr Penfield and his team keep their knowledge up to date in the most advanced procedures and technologies and most important, they LOVE taking care of you and your family!

Dr. Penfield is an easy going and fun loving guy who grew up working in his fathers lumber business and also worked as a scuba instructor while in dental school. Overcoming cancer at a young age developed him into a caring and understanding Individual with a high respect for quality of life and how he can improve it for others.

Hi everyone, welcome to Kodiak. My name is Kathie Morin I was born and raised in Seward untill I left in 1984.I moved around the states visiting family off and on over the years until returning to Seward in 1987 where I met my now husband of 30 years. We moved to Kodiak in April of 1997 with the USCG where my husband served 7 years here until he retired in 2004 after 25 years in the Coast Guard.We have 3 kids, Rachel, Shilie and Joshua, all who grew up and graduated from Kodiak. I have two granddaughters, Rily and Merritt.

I have been at BridgeView Dental since June of 2015.I spend my time extra time doing voluntary activities when I can. I belong to the Lions Club and The Elks Lodge. Enjoying the beauty of Kodiak and going on long walks are some of things I like doing in my spare time.

Hey Kodiak! My name is Kristen and I was born and raised in Anchorage, AK. I love Alaska, and all the adventures it has to offer. Being a member of the BridgeView team has been so much fun. I love getting to meet new people daily.

When away from the office, my time is spent with my husband, Hyrum, and five amazing children; four boys and a little girl. They keep me busy, but I love it. We spend our days soaking up the summer sun at the beaches, collecting sea glass, exploring new trails, and fishing at the river.

Our dental hygienist is Erin Friese. She joined our clinic in 2021 as a dental hygienist after working as a dental technician. She enjoys assisting patients in improving their health and educating them on the importance of maintaining a healthy mouth.
