Akash M. Aghera, DMD, is the founder and owner of BridgeHampton Dental and takes pride in the value and culture we have developed here. Dr. Aghera strongly believes that serving people with empathy and compassion creates a big difference in how people view dentistry in general. With his kind nature and gentle hands, Dr. Aghera will make you comfortable in the most stressful of situations.
Dr. Aghera graduated cum laude (with honors) from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2010. He previously obtained his bachelors degree in dental surgery with distinction at the Government Dental College and Hospital in Jamanagar, India. While in dental school, Dr. Aghera was on the Deans Roll of Honor for Academic Achievement and was awarded a scholarship. He was accepted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society, for overall academic excellence.
Since graduating, Dr. Aghera has continued to gain valuable knowledge and training that enhance his skills in dentistry. He has taken numerous continuing education courses, including courses in cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, root canal treatments, Invisalign and orthodontics, and more. He believes that learning is a process that should continue throughout ones career in order to achieve excellence in any field.
When not doing dentistry, Dr. Aghera enjoys spending time with his family his wife Punam, daughter Mahi, and son Anuj. He will watch any sports you can name and is a fan of the Carolina Panthers. Traveling and seeing new places is his favorite pastime.
Ashley is a graduate of the Charlotte Dental Assistant School, where she became a certified DA1. She also received her certification in Dental Office Management from York Technical College. She plans on furthering her education in dentistry to become a better asset to our office and patients. She now resides in Rock Hill, SC, where she likes to spend her free time with friends, family, and her dog Cooper.
Punam graduated with a bachelors degree in arts from Saurashtra University in India, where she was born and raised. After moving to the United States in 2001, she pursued a management certificate from CPCC. Besides being a part-time insurance coordinator at our office, she helps her husband, Dr. Aghera, with the chores of running a dental office. When not working, she enjoys cooking and hanging out with friends and family.
Grace is a Charlotte local, born and raised in the Weddington area. Before starting her journey as a hygienist, she dove into the dental field as a dental assistant, specifically assisting in oral surgery. She later attended York Technical College in Rock Hill, where she served as her class president. During her time there, she was very involved in her national organization, also serving as vice president for the student branch of the ADHA for the state of South Carolina. Grace is very passionate about patient education, helping patients overcome dental anxiety, and working with special needs. When away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their crazy chocolate lab, Chief. They enjoy spending time on Lake Wateree and Oak Island whenever they get the chance.
Kayla was born and raised in Lancaster, SC. She is a graduate of the dental assisting program at York Technical College, where she became a certified DAII and received an associates degree in applied science-general technology. She looks forward to serving our patients and watching their confidence grow one smile at a time. In her spare time, she loves going to watch different types of racing, traveling to new places, and spending time with family and friends.

Grace was excellent throughout the cleaning process. She constantly checking on me to make sure I was ok and not in any kind of pain or discomfort. Also she was very professional with great customer skills. She was very patience and checking everything throughly. I would suggest anyone to Bridgehampton Dental.

This was my 4 & 5 year olds first dentist appointment ever and Grace did such an AMAZING job making them feel comfortable and really making it a great experience!!! Highly recommend!!!

I would like to say I visited this office for my son who had an infected tooth I walked in it was calm and peaceful the front desk was amazing very accurate also the dental assistant Kayla was nice and courteous we felt special until the Dr./Dentist came in who also was very delightful. I felted very welcome and respected. I can't wait for more visits

Bridgehampton Dental & Dr. Aghera are exactly the care I need. I found them to be understanding, compassionate, and willing to answer questions, and allay fears. My next appointment is tomorrow. I can't help the habitual fear, but my last visit gave me confidence. Extra stars for Grace, the hygienist who cared for me, she's a keeper!

I have been a patient for over 2 years. I have a great experience every time I visit. The staff is very friendly, especially Grace and they make my visit go by quickly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

OMGOSH, I am not a good patient. But everyone there was helpful and courteous. The Hygienist was fabulous. Very calming, made me laugh and I felt very comfortable. Dr Akash was very informant with my results. I will go back to this office. I wasn't nervous at all the whole time.

I went to them for a few years for routine dental care, until one day the hygienist broke a wire on my permanent retainer. I felt it break. She then proceeded to tell me it was always broken and it would be over $500 to fix it. When I had them send me the x-rays that were taken before she cleaned my teeth, the retainer was intact. But they still insist they didn't break it. Neither me or my family members will return.
