Hello, I am Dr. Rony Arencibia and I look forward to meeting you! Growing up in my fathers dental practice in Cuba and seeing patients come in with pain and leave with a smile in their face deeply impacted me. Today, Dentistry is my passion and customized patient care is my motivation every day at the office. My goal is to provide each of my patients with outstanding dental care that will create healthy and beautiful smiles. Brickell Dentistry is a boutique practice that allows me to provide personalized one-on-one care in a slow paced environment for each patient and that is my commitment to you.
Born in Havana, Cuba, and raised in Miami, Florida, I attended Florida Gulf Coast University where I earned my bachelors degree in biology. I went on to earn my Doctorates degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine. I have worked in various clinics and private practices where I acquired vast knowledge and extensive experience in the many different fields of dentistry.
I enjoy being able to change peoples lives for the better through the use of my hands. Moreover, receiving annual continuing education and training advances my overall knowledge to bring minimally invasive procedures to patients that provide a positive low-stress experience for each patient.
Gum disease is one of the leading causes of tooth loss. Gum disease has two primary stages. If diagnosed and treated in the first stage, the condition can be reversed and tooth loss can usually be prevented. In order to prevent gum disease,practice good oral hygiene and visit your dentist for cleanings and check-ups twice a year.
This stage only affects the soft tissue of the gums, and the patient may not experience any discomfort. Although the symptoms may be very mild, it is important to diagnose gum disease in this early stage before it progresses to periodontitis.
Periodontitis is the name for more advanced periodontal disease and if permitted to progress to this point, not only the gums are affected but the bone structures supporting the teeth will be compromised.
A build-up of bacteria causes Gingivitis. In its early stages, inflammation around the gums is observable, with gum tissues appearing red and swollen. Gums that are easily irritated or that bleed during tooth brushing indicate the presence of Gingivitis. Removal of the plaque buildup is necessary to prevent the development of gum disease.
As the gums become more inflamed, they start to pull away from the teeth, forming spaces known as periodontal pockets. Food, bacteria, and plaque begin to collect in the pockets, leading to infection. The surrounding bone becomes damaged both by bacterial toxins and by the immune systemsresponse to infection.

This is by far the best dental office I've been to. Dr Rony is awesome!!!! Had a filling done in less than 20mint and did'nt feel a thing. My cleaning was also very quick and pain free. Everyone is really nice.

Upon arriving to this dental office, I was greeted by the front desk immediately, waiting time was around 10 min. Afterwards, I was seen by Dr. Arencibia and Dr. Grider for two different consults, I must say- never seen such professionalism, personalized attention and transparent explanations from both doctors. My previous dentist experience was not the best, but this is dental practice is definitely a keeper. Strongly recommended.
