Brickell Dental and Aesthetics is one of a kind. The staff are kind, attentive, polite, efficient and knowledgable. I was seen in a timely manner and Dr. DeVivo was incredibly thorough, warm, and patiently explained everything to me. He was the 3rd dentist I have seen about a tooth that potentially needed a crown. Dr DeVivo thoroughly assessed the tooth and luckily it just needed a new sealant which he was able to do right then for me! The front desk staff clearly explained the pricing, what I would be responsible for vs insurance. I cannot say enough good things about this practice!!!

Dr. DeViVo was amazing. I chipped a few teeth at the gym and they took me right away the next morning- first appointment! Btw, I was a first time patient and they still treated me like VIP! He spent all morning with me making sure my teeth looked better prior to the chip, and most importantly made sure I felt extremely comfortable with him and his team. 10/10 recommend.

Be extremely wary of this company. The dentist advised I needed 2 crowns urgently and that there was no time to wait for my insurance to pre-authorize because of damage to the teeth, but that I had nothing to worry about because I was in-network with my insurance. I trusted her and went ahead with the procedure for the first crown, only to find out later that not only will my insurance not cover this procedure as it was not necessary (a filling would have sufficed) but also, went to another dentist about the second crown and that dentist informed me that I definitely did not need a crown, and did a filling instead. Complete scammers and truly terrible people who are out to get money from people who don't know better.

Maybelin is amazing, she is super gentle and thorough with my cleanings. Ever since I started seeing her, the bleeding in my gums has reduced immensely. Brickell Dental and Aesthetics is always on time and I love that it's always in and out when I have to come here. Do not use this dentist for any major services. Brickell will charge you upfront for all services that are provided, but that is far from the issue. I had a root canal service performed and a crown put on after that was complete. The cost of both of this was just under $1900, which is a fair price. Two months later I receive an update from my insurance company that I should only owe a total of $171.80 since they are in network. Brickell Dental only refunded me $720 because of two things that were never explained to me and one is 100% false. The first being that since they have someone come in to perform the procedure that they do not honor any PPO discounts from the insurance and I have to pay for that ($680). Secondly, I received a discount for the crown ($300), however they stated I needed to pay that because my insurance only covers metal crowns. I spoke with my insurance and they did in fact let me know the opposite they will only pay for a porcelain crown for anyone over the age of 19. With that being said the staff is great and this rating is not a reflection on them. However it is a reflection on they over charge patients and lie about how things are covered.

They scheduled me for an appointment with a week notice. They expect me to make it and I told them I couldn't. The office changed owner and the new owner seems to not be in network with my insurance. Months later I get a bill for the first time in my life for a dental cleaning procedure and a missed appointment charge. The new provider didn't even have the courtesy to introduce himself in my last appointment. Money minded business. Your loss.
