I grew up on a small beef cattle farm in Wisconsin. There I learned that I loved working with my hands and fixing broken things. In school I enjoyed and excelled in my science classes. And from my earliest days Ive been driven to help and care for people. To me, dentistry is an incredible combination of those three cores of my personality. Its a career that I love and am excited for every day.
While in Wisconsin I attended Marquette University and earned a Bachelors degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. For my dental degree, Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska lured me away from Wisconsin with one of the best clinical education programs in the nation.
Beth is a graduate of Moberly Area Community College. She began working in the dental field in 2007. She continued her education and became a certified dental assistant (CDA) with an expanded functions certification (EFDA). Beth works as both a chairside assistant and administrative assistant.

The doctor and the staff were very professional and efficient. They explained in detail of the entire procedure. Demonstrated a lot of care and concern about my well-being. Everyone's visit should go this well.

When I answered 100 on the "How anxious are you about the dentist on a scale of 1-10" question, I wasn't exaggerating! I had my #31 molar surgically extracted last week in Columbia. I was having pain and extreme swelling a week after. I called BCD yesterday and they worked me in today. Dr. Kollath and staff were polite and knowledgeable and I got great care. Highly recommend.

I was nervous coming in to have some cavities filled today. They were all very kind and offered me both reassurances and information on what to expect. They made sure I was comfortable the whole time and answered all of my questions.

EDITED FROM PREVIOUS COMMENT: Service very good, professional, friendly. However rates are quite a bit more than others in the area. I was in shock when I paid my bill of OVER $1000 for a cleaning, x-rays, small filling and chip repair. When comparing on google and I asked other DDS in the area, the charge for x-rays and filling were double or near double. Brick City rates may compare to Big City, USA certainly not to small midwest USA. 5 stars for service 1 star for rates.

First visit as new patient and it was great! The staff is very polite and friendly. The hygienist was excellent so gentle and thorough. The dentist was friendly, courteous, informative and took time to listen and answer my questions. We will be patients for life

So appreciate Dr. Kolkath's honesty with me on a somewhat complicated repair of a tooth I need to have fixed. Also he did a complete oral exam including feeling for lymph nodes in my neck, looking under my tongue, etc.--really appreciated his thoroughness. Also appreciated the thorough cleaning Sydney did on my teeth--she is very gentle & takes her time to get every area cleaned!
