Dr. C.A. Buddy Brice graduated from Biloxi High School at the top of his class. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology at Louisiana State University (LSU) and was one of only two individuals in the state of Mississippi to be accepted to the LSU School of Dentistry at that time. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1978 and received the Operative Dentistry Award for Outstanding Clinical Achievement.
Dr. Brice has practiced on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since August 1980. He is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In fact, he was the first to receive this certification in the state of Mississippi. He is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the Mississippi Dental Association.
Dr. Brice was born in Bosier City, LA, and moved to the coast at 3 months of age. He married his high school sweetheart, Jaye, in 1978, and they are the proud parents of two four-legged children, Lola Chanel and Lexi Dior. He is a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Dr. Austin McMurphy attended Louisiana State University, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was a member of the Pre-Dental Society and was on the Deans List for seven consecutive semesters. Dr. McMurphy then attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry, graduating with his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2014. He completed his residency through the Louisiana State University Health Science Center in 2016 and completed his board certification in 2017.
Dr. McMurphy began practicing in the Biloxi and Ocean Springs area in July 2016 and spent the first three years of his career completing advanced training from board-certified courses on sedation dentistry for pediatric patients. He has also completed advanced training in behavior management, special needs dentistry for both children and adults (with a focus on autism), and providing care for expecting mothers.
As a dentist, his ultimate goal is to help children feel comfortable and safe, along with their parents. He hopes to fill the time of each patient and parent in the office with happiness and positivity so that their experience is memorable for the right reasons. He is committed to providing children with an experience that allows them to develop a care for and love of their teeth and dentists in the future.
Dr. McMurphy was born in Baton Rouge but raised his entire life in Biloxi. He loves the coast, and it is always going to be a place he is proud to call home. He is married to Amanda McMurphy, a general dentist and the owner of McMurphy Family Dentistry in Biloxi. They have one daughter, Sloan, and two dogs, Maggie and Layla. Dr. McMurphy is an avid golfer and loves to fish when he has the chance. He loves superhero movies, Star Wars, Disney World and video games.

This place is very difficult to work with. They will cancel appointments without notification. They only work with your insurance company if it is convenient for them. I have two kids with two dental insurance coverage; one of the companies is Medicaid the other a private company. They did work for my youngest son 8 but refused to see my oldest 9 due to his Medicaid. They will give you the run around. The Dr seems nice enough but it is NOT worth the headache to get seen.

I can't say enough about the caring environment I was met with today at this office. I have been so stressed about my children's teeth and only met with high dental bills until today. Every person on this building from the insurance lady to the front desk to the receptionist answering the phone to the dental hygienists and finally the beyond amazing Dentists are a true blessing.

My child actually loves going to the dentist, due to the caring staff and Dr. Rector. She is never scared or fearful having her cehckups or procedures.

I have been a client of Dr. Buddy for years since i was a kid and now I have a kid and I'm trying to bring him in for an appointment, and I cannot because I called and canceled an "confirmed" appointment that i couldn't bring my child to. ( A year ago) Inthink it's terrible to keep my son from being seen because we called and canceled an appointment.. not like it was a no call no show. I talked with them! Dr. Buddy and his staff really took care of me and my sister when we were growing up and my I'm extremely hurt by this. Anybody got any recommendations for other pediatric dentist ?

The ladies that handle the calls are unprofessional & rude. Called Thursday, they told me to call back Friday.. when come to find out, THEY ARE CLOSED ON FRIDAYS so I called Monday around 4:35 & they put me on hold TWICE & then answered at 4:45 saying they closed early for the day.... if you can't answer the phones & set up appointments professionally then maybe you need a different job. BUT, besides that Buddy Brice is awesome!

Loved Mr Buddy Brice. However, I do not like the fact that my insurance was in network with him and my insurance covers cleanings 100% and his office still wanted me to pay $30 per child per cleaning. They should not be allowed to do this. I was also told at my children's 6 month appt, 6 months after the original that I owed $35 from the previous visit which I never got a bill for. I'm sure it could've been fixed by insurance if office staff would've let me know in a timely manner. The preestimate for my daughters work that needed to be done was $200 more than the dentist she goes to now. I'm sure they will be loosing a lot of patients if fiancially they cannot stick to the contracted fees.
