Dr. C.A. Buddy Brice graduated from Biloxi High School at the top of his class. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology at Louisiana State University (LSU) and was one of only two individuals in the state of Mississippi to be accepted to the LSU School of Dentistry at that time. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1978 and received the Operative Dentistry Award for Outstanding Clinical Achievement.
Dr. Brice has practiced on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since August 1980. He is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In fact, he was the first to receive this certification in the state of Mississippi. He is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the Mississippi Dental Association.
Dr. Brice was born in Bosier City, LA, and moved to the coast at 3 months of age. He married his high school sweetheart, Jaye, in 1978, and they are the proud parents of two four-legged children, Lola Chanel and Lexi Dior. He is a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Dr. Austin McMurphy attended Louisiana State University, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was a member of the Pre-Dental Society and was on the Deans List for seven consecutive semesters. Dr. McMurphy then attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry, graduating with his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2014. He completed his residency through the Louisiana State University Health Science Center in 2016 and completed his board certification in 2017.
Dr. McMurphy began practicing in the Biloxi and Ocean Springs area in July 2016 and spent the first three years of his career completing advanced training from board-certified courses on sedation dentistry for pediatric patients. He has also completed advanced training in behavior management, special needs dentistry for both children and adults (with a focus on autism), and providing care for expecting mothers.
As a dentist, his ultimate goal is to help children feel comfortable and safe, along with their parents. He hopes to fill the time of each patient and parent in the office with happiness and positivity so that their experience is memorable for the right reasons. He is committed to providing children with an experience that allows them to develop a care for and love of their teeth and dentists in the future.
Dr. McMurphy was born in Baton Rouge but raised his entire life in Biloxi. He loves the coast, and it is always going to be a place he is proud to call home. He is married to Amanda McMurphy, a general dentist and the owner of McMurphy Family Dentistry in Biloxi. They have one daughter, Sloan, and two dogs, Maggie and Layla. Dr. McMurphy is an avid golfer and loves to fish when he has the chance. He loves superhero movies, Star Wars, Disney World and video games.

I showed up for an appointment was told one thing on the phone and another when I arrived. The office staff needs to all be on the same page. That is ridiculous.

Love these guys. Dr Austin is the reason my son doesn't hate going to the dentist. He will even WANT to go see Dr Austin when he doesn't need to. Dr Austin and Dr Buddy are both so kind and caring that it's hard to even put into words. They both seem to genuinely care about my son as a human instead of having us feel like just another patient. Dr. Austin explains the process directly to my kid in a way that he can understand by making it a fun and easy thing. Previous dentists that were supposedly pediatric focused, had him terrified to where they would end up holding or strapping him down while he cried and screamed the whole appt. We both despised any dental visit after a couple of those experiences that were supposed to cater to and be good with children. I found Dr. Austin after that and from the very first appt at their office, the difference has been absolutely astonishing. Even til this day, I still leave amazed at how wonderfully painless the whole appointment is. Instead of being strapped or held down, my son will get up into the chair on his own.. with a smile. Even on a random day, my son will tell me he wants to go see Dr Austin or call to tell him something (we don't bother them like that, but like what kid loves their dentist that much?? it's so sweet). I tell everyone with a kid to go see Dr Austin and Dr Buddy. Dr Austin is the one that works on my son, but even Dr Buddy is always there between his own patients to cheer him on and high five him for just coming in while being there to assure and show care to me as well. I can't really explain how grateful for both of them we are. They're seriously the absolute best.

I canceled my appointment and was charged a $50 cancelation fee. I explained to the office that when I went to check my daughter out of school and I was told she was testing and would not be able to retake the standardized test again. I immediately called the dentists office and explained this to them. It was a few hours before the appointment. They said they would ask Dr. Brice if he would waive the fee. He would not. My child is 13 and has been a patient since she was 2. I have out of network insurance so I pay the entire amount for services every time she has an appointment. I feel that they should do a better job with their cancelation fee because they lost way more than $50. Her procedure was going to be over $200. Oh well it was just God's way to tell me it was time to go. There were other things that bothered me that I won't mention, that myself and my husband did not like. I gave them 2 stars because my daughter liked them.

The best of the best! Dr. Buddy and Dr. Austin are hands down the best. They take time to explain everything to both the parents and the kids. My little one was very hesitant to see the dentist, everyone there was patient with her and took the time to show her everything they were going to do. AND now they even have a laser that requires no numbing shots which makes for easy and painless filling! This is the place to bring your children for the best dental care!!

I cancelled the appointment with the call center staff and the next day they were trying to charge me a cancellation fee and told me their call center can't take cancellations. Then why did he take my information and end the call and not tell me he couldn't cancel it? Then on top of that they rescheduled it for me the same day(great) just to call back less than 5 minutes later to tell me to find a new dentist because I was rude with their staff(I'm sorry...I get a tossed around with incorrect information and then charged 50$, of course I'm furious!!). Then my little girls cap was poking her cheek and they couldn't shave it down(despite doing it before), and because I wanted to know why...I was rude? Happily finding a new dentist because I've been with the same one for 6 years until we moved here and never had any issues until we found this one!

If your kids are on Medicaid and use this office, you will need to start finding a new dentist for your children. Been waiting months for their check ups, called this morning and they stopped accepting medicaid patients under 10 and did not let the patients know. A letter would have been nice since we trusted you with our children and yall couldnt even notify patients. Really really disappointed ive loved and used this place for years.

Been waiting months for their check ups, called this morning and they stopped accepting medicaid patients under 10 and did not let the patients know. A letter would have been nice since we trusted you with our children and yall couldnt even notify patients. Really really disappointed ive loved and used this place for years.

I've been going to Dr. Buddy since just after I was born. He's so nice, and a great guy. I've never had one complaint. They have games for children to play while they wait for their teeth to be cleaned, or X-rayed. The staff is nice, accommodating, and skilled.

I took my children here and I absolutely LOVE it! They are so nice and it feels so warm. My children loved the experience as well! The entire staff is very knowledgeable and friendly! Best place to take kids!!!!!!

First they said they don't accept medicaid for my childs . They charge $200 for first visit and treated for my son teeth. Second visit they told me the prices of my child treatment in amounts of like $1500 . I said I cannot afford that then they said they accepted medicaid and insurance. Third visit are almost $2800! But they put a small kids into some strong medicine . Should not go there if you are really care about your childs

I like how professional and careful Dr. Brice is with my boys. The front desk is another story. I had a Issues with the bills and request to be review again. I waited patiently with the staffs but never follow up. I am just disappointment how the staffs handled with the matter. Instead they belittle me and made the situation very uncomfortable. Watch out how they charge the insurance and your pocket. The reason i am giving a three star because of Dr Brice is a good dentist.

Dr Buddy is a great dentist. He takes the time to explain everything that he's doing to the children to make them as comfortable as possible. He showed them there instruments before he used them in their mouth to keep them from being scared of what he's doing. His facility is very nice. He has games for them to play while they wait. The staff is very nice and professional.

For many years I have heard so many great thing about this facility that's why I started coming here... The customer service is exceptional, everyone is so friendly, from the receptionist, to the techs to Dr. Buddy.. The care he provides is amazing.. We love this place..

My 8 year old had anxiety and asphyxiation issues from terrible experiences at Kool Smiles. We decided to go to Dr. Buddy's office after reading good reviews. My son needed 3 teeth pulled due to overcrowding and 2 small fillings. Dr. Austin explained things to him on a 1 on 1 level and assured him that everything would go at his pace, answered all his questions, and calmed all his fears. Even when my son started crying when in the chair Dr. Austin slowed down, talked to him the entire time reassuring and encouraging him until he was ready. This is definitely Dr. Austin's calling! After the procedure my son gave him a big hug and went around telling our family that he was no longer afraid of the dentist! I mean a complete change! The entire staff was warm and welcoming. I recommend this place 1000%.

I am no longer in Biloxi but Dr. Buddy Brice is absolutely amazing. I never do reviews but had to because of such good care he used when handling my very active 3yr old. He has to have 3 crowns it went so well. Even the dentist we have now in another state complimented on how well my son's previous work was done. Very informative and thorough.
