Having three children of his own, Dr. Mehlhoff is comfortable working on children and enjoys having them in his office. Dr. Mehlhoff will do everything he can to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
Dr. Mehlhoff is originally from Oregon and moved to Colorado in 2004. He has two daughters and one son. Dr. Mehlhoff enjoys watching and participating in sports. He stays busy spending time with his children, and being active outdoors. Dr. Mehlhoff looks forward to making your next dental experience a great one!
Julia was raised in Wyoming where she graduated from Sheridan college with her Dental Hygiene degree. She continued her education through the University of Wyoming, earning her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. As a dental hygienist, her goal is getting to know each patient so she can provide individualized, high quality care and personalized recommendations based on each patients unique needs.
In her free time, Julia enjoys reading, cooking, and gardening. She loves spending time outdoors with her husband, two kids, and their black lab, Jack. Even though Colorado is home now, they spend a lot of time in Wyoming, visiting friends and family, camping, and cheering on their Wyoming Cowboys at football games in the fall. Go Pokes!
Anastasia is the lead Dental Assistant with Dr. Mehlhoff. She went to dental assisting school in Texas and has been assisting for nearly two years in both Colorado and Texas. Anastasia's main goal is to be there for you both in and out of the chair, trying to make you feel comfortable every step of the way. Youll typically find her to your left when you are in the chair and she will answer any questions you have, grab you any comfort item you might need, and make sure your visit to our office is as easy as possible. When shes not in the office, you might find her playing with her ferrets, practicing archery, or hiking the mountains.

This place is a very nice & clean office with a sunny and personable staff that are very welcoming. I went in for a cleaning & it was the most comfortable cleaning I have ever had. My fillings will be in a week & they where so accommodating working around my schedule for them. Dr. Mehlhoff was so knowledgeable who only recommends what's genuinely best for you assuring you that you are well taken care of.

Getting work done by Dr Mehlhoff feels just like sitting in a comfy chair. Sometimes his head makes it hard to see the TV, but I wouldn't dare call that a complaint. Julia is perfect too. Won't ever go anywhere else by choice

I've been going to Briarwood Family Dentistry for over 20 years. Dr. York was awesome. Since taking over, Dr. Mehlhoff has been equally awesome. The staff is super nice and accommodating, Most importantly, the dental care is great. I continue to trust the dental health of myself and my kids to Briarwood, and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Very welcoming front desk /reception area. My experience "in the chair" was as good as a cavity filling could be. I appreciate that the Dentist included me in what was going to happen and checked in frequently to see if I was doing ok.

Great staff, quick responses to questions, very painless cleaning, professional and knowledgeable all the way around. Would highly recommend. Another plus, television is on the ceiling so you can watch Ancient Aliens while you get your teeth poked!

I have spent a lot of time over the years in a dental chair with many different dentists, oral surgeons and endodontists. I found Dr Mehlhoff when I had to have my two upper front teeth repaired. One needed to have a bone graft and an implant and the other was cracked and had been repaired by another dentist years ago but was deteriorating. The care that was taken by Dr Mehlhoff to ensure precision was impressive. The crowns came out super nice and looks natural. Thank you and all of your staff for all you do. I am very happy to know I have found a great place for my dental needs. Anyone looking for a great dentist should do themselves a favor and call your office! Thank You! I just want to update this one because I felt it was a true reflection of their service. I had a cleaning done this morning by the most caring person who was quite informative and took a lot of time with me and then Dr Mehlhof told me he found no Cavities was very nice to hear . Thank You Again for another great visit to the dentist office! Awesome staff, Thank you too Shyla for sending out the email for openings available and handling those Insurance billings. Always such a pleasure to see you! I would never go anywhere else!

This dentistry is honest and works with me for any financial needs. As a proactive person for my dental needs, I don't have to worry about getting in to see the dentist for a cleaning or any other procedure because they have a fabulous wait list set-up to help get everyone accommodated. For example, today I found out I needed a filling when I came in for my cleaning. Someone cancelled their appointment for tomorrow, so I can jump in during my lunch hour and get my filling done! In my previous experience with dentists, I would have to wait at least 3-4 months! Another bonus is for my son! He has extreme anxiety for dental work and they are extremely accommodating towards him and his needs. I am extremely grateful!

I am so thankful for Briarwood Family Dentistry. I needed an urgent visit and they were able to fit me in right away and they took great care. From the moment I walked in to see my name on a welcome sign to the moment I walked out I felt comfortable and cared for.
