Dr. Peter McIntyre completed his Bachelor of Arts in biology in 1979 and his Bachelor of Science in hygiene in 1981. He then attended the University of Colorado Health Science Center for dental school, graduating in 1986. He is committed to continuing his dental education, regularly advancing his training and knowledge through hands-on courses in airway treatments, orthodontics, implant dentistry, general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry, including special training in occlusion studies through the Foundation for Advanced Continuing Education and implant seminars, as well as training in BOTOX, dermal fillers and microneedling. In fact, Dr. McIntyre completes over 100 hours of continued training each year! Drs. Tom Basta, Armen Mirzayan, Arun Garg and Tom Hebda were great mentors to him in his dental education and training

Dr. McIntyre is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association and the Colorado Springs Dental Society. He has received a number of awards, including the Presidents Award from The Arc. He has practiced in the Colorado Springs area since 1975, when he began providing respiratory therapy at St. Francis Hospital, and began practicing dentistry in the area following his graduation from dental school in 1986. As a dentist, he is committed to making a difference in peoples lives.

Denise joined the Briargate Advanced Family Dental family in October 2016, and enjoys being part of an amazing team that truly cares about the health and well-being of our patients. She loves being able to help patients from all over the state who are not able to receive care in a traditional office get the treatments they need in a hospital setting.

Susan joined our team in April 2018 and enjoys being part of a team of caring and amazing women. She has over 15 years of experience in the dental field and brings a friendly attitude to work each day. Susan is a Colorado native and has three daughters and an energetic Labrador. Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, camping, being outdoors, enjoying new restaurants, and spending time with her family and friends.

Kala joined our team in January 2020. She loves meeting new faces and working with great people, and she keeps our office schedule running smoothly. Kala was born and raised in Colorado and has a cat who has been her BFF for 10 years. Her hobbies include traveling, working out, eating, shopping and exploring Denver.

Melissa joined our team in June 2020 and is currently studying multimedia graphic design at Pikes Peak Community College. She loves our dental family and the team we have built, and she does her best to support Briargate Advanced Family Dental by being detail oriented and keeping meticulous records, because growing up with a nurse for a mom taught her that if its not documented, its not done. Melissa has two beautiful cats and, in her free time, enjoys playing video games.

Amanda attended East Tennessee State University, graduating summa cum laude in 2013 with her Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene. She joined the Briargate Advanced Family Dental family in January 2017 and specializes in working with high anxiety, special needs and geriatric patients to help them receive care. She loves the diversity of our patient base and the comradery with her teammates, and she enjoys being the comedic relief in the office and putting a smile on peoples faces.

Amanda married her college sweetheart, Grant, and together they have a daughter, Harper, and two fur children, Captain and Jackson. Her hobbies include binge watching true-crime shows, taking her daughter to the park, and enjoying puzzles and word searches.

Jocelyn attended Portland Community College in Portland, Oregon, to earn her Associate of Science degree in dental hygiene in 1995. She later attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque to complete her Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature and Spanish literature in 2000. Jocelyn joined Briargate Advanced Family Dental in December 2018 and is dedicated to providing quality dental care and a comfortable dental experience to each patient she meets. She adds a little humor to the day for both our patients and our team, and she enjoys providing dental hygiene care to a diverse patient population.

Cindy attended Pima Medical Institute for her EDDA certification and is also certified in PRP blood draws. She joined our team in September 2012 and brings a positive attitude with her to work each day. Cindy often works alongside Dr. McIntyre in the hospital operating room to provide care. Her heart is in patient care, and she wants each patient who visits us to feel at ease and be confident in their dental experience. She loves the people she works with and the patients she sees each day.

Kim attended Pikes Peak Community College, graduating with her certification in dental assisting in 2017 and as an EFDA in 2018. She joined our Briargate Advanced Family Dental family in 2017 and enjoys working at an office that works with the special needs community. Kim goes the extra mile to help her patients feel as comfortable as possible while in the dental chair.

Lexie graduated from PPCC Rampart Range in 2021 with her Associate of Applied Science and EFDA certificate. She has been a member of our team since August 2020 and enjoys seeing such a diverse group of patients as well as spending each day with her lovely coworkers. She also manages supply ordering and 3D printing!
