in Maryville, Missouri, andreceived his undergraduate degree from Northwest Missouri State University in 1998. While there,he had the opportunity to be a captain on the 1998 Division ll National Championship football team. He enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, following sports, and playing golf.
Dr. Amy was born and raised in Des Moines, IA. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Iowa where she earned a B.S. in Integrative Physiology. Dr. Amy spent two years after graduation working in two different labs before returning to Iowa City to begin her professional studies. She graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry with her D.D.S.
Dr. Amy became interested in dentistry during a health careers internship her senior year in high school. In the program she had the opportunity to shadow health care professionals in several different fields for a few hours each day. After picking the dental office on a whim for her last rotation it took less than two days for her to fall in love with the profession. The opportunity to really get to know your patients and establish lasting relationships is what set dentistry apart from the other health care professions she had shadowed. Dr. Amy thoroughly enjoys many aspects of dentistry but particularly loves working with children and doing restorative procedures like fillings and crowns.
She recently got married and is new to the Kansas City area. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott and newly adopted dog, Montgomery. Together they love exploring their new city, being outdoors, golfing, spending time with friends, taking trips to the lake and, of course, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes!
Dr. Ketchem attendedNebraska-Wesleyan Universityin Lincoln, Nebraska where she received her undergraduate degree in Biology and played for the university tennis team. She then graduated from theUniversity of Nebraska College of Dentistry. Dr. Ketchem enjoys building personal relationships with patients, and her mission is to provide quality dental care with honesty and compassion.
