in Maryville, Missouri, andreceived his undergraduate degree from Northwest Missouri State University in 1998. While there,he had the opportunity to be a captain on the 1998 Division ll National Championship football team. He enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, following sports, and playing golf.
Dr. Amy was born and raised in Des Moines, IA. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Iowa where she earned a B.S. in Integrative Physiology. Dr. Amy spent two years after graduation working in two different labs before returning to Iowa City to begin her professional studies. She graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry with her D.D.S.
Dr. Amy became interested in dentistry during a health careers internship her senior year in high school. In the program she had the opportunity to shadow health care professionals in several different fields for a few hours each day. After picking the dental office on a whim for her last rotation it took less than two days for her to fall in love with the profession. The opportunity to really get to know your patients and establish lasting relationships is what set dentistry apart from the other health care professions she had shadowed. Dr. Amy thoroughly enjoys many aspects of dentistry but particularly loves working with children and doing restorative procedures like fillings and crowns.
She recently got married and is new to the Kansas City area. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott and newly adopted dog, Montgomery. Together they love exploring their new city, being outdoors, golfing, spending time with friends, taking trips to the lake and, of course, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes!
Dr. Ketchem attendedNebraska-Wesleyan Universityin Lincoln, Nebraska where she received her undergraduate degree in Biology and played for the university tennis team. She then graduated from theUniversity of Nebraska College of Dentistry. Dr. Ketchem enjoys building personal relationships with patients, and her mission is to provide quality dental care with honesty and compassion.

What an incredible experience! I am a new patient and had my first visit last week. I received a warm welcome at the front desk. The dental hygienist, Anna, was personable and professional: she explained what work was being done and what steps I could take next. The dentist also explained everything clearly. I look forward to continuing with this awesome group.

First visit was xrays and exam. I had a horrible experience a few years ago with a different dentist that landed me in the ER with a bruised and swollen face and permanent facial droop. Needless to say, I have very bad dental anxiety now. The dental hygienist at Dr. Sutton's office was amazing. I wasn't thrilled with the female dentist (forgot name). Seemed a bit curt. I came doen with COVID for my next crown appt. So cancelled. Then, I had a sinusitis secondary to COVID and needed to go to urgent care for treatment. Cancelled again. They had made me pay $300 up front prior to making the crown replacement appt. Fine, no problem. They charged me $298 cancelation fee and told me I would now have to pay the WHOLE crown fee before making another appt. Charge for work that isn't done? $298 cancelation? I don't have an extra $300 to pay for absolutely nothing! This way they get to keep the $300 and don't care if I go along my merry way. What a sham! So, yes, now I have even more dentist anxiety and am out $300! I cried for an hour over this because now I have to start over and am screwed out of $300! So basically a crown that should cost $600 will cost me $900! Nope, I will eat the $300. Shame on them! A healthcare worker whom has worked through the pandemic and this is the first time contracting COVID and punished for it with them. I am contacting the insurance company to see if this i deed legal. It is definitely not ethical!

Had a great couple of visits, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Brancato did a perfect job and was very quick with her work. 10/10 would recommend her and the office.

If you are looking for a fantastic dental office - this is it! Dr Ketchum especially has been awesome with my teenage daughter whose got a major fear of dental work! She went above and beyond to make my daughter comfortable and calm! Everyone in the office is fantastic!

I had a great experience returning here as an adult. They've known me since I was a kid, so before my transition, and they have been very respectful about my name and pronoun changes. Ashton was amazing to talk to. She asked me my pronouns without prompt, and was very friendly throughout the session. I felt very welcomed and relaxed. We talked about pets and it was a great distraction. Her wonderful energy made me very calm. I will definitely be recommending this business to fellow LGBTQIA+ people, as I personally felt very safe and respected throughout my visits! Thank you!

Had deep cleanings done here, first hygienist was very thorough and careful. The second one left 4 huge sores in my mouth. On top of that, they charged me for my last cleaning becuase my "benefits had run out" even though I called my insurance company and they had not. No return phone calls or remorse. Never got my money back. Seems like insurance fraud to me.

Highly recommend this practice! The entire staff here is helpful and welcoming. I was with a new hygienist this time, Anna, who was outstanding and did a great job! Although, over the years I have had a few different hygienists and each time they have been GREAT. I see Dr. Amy who is very personable and thorough! Can't recommend them enough :)

Omg when I went to this dentist everyone made me feel so welcomed and so professional and helped right away they asked me do I have any questions for them anytime that I looked confused or something when I asked they answered so politely and walked me through everything thank you so much Keli your awesome walking me through everything also the doctor that came in to assess and talk to me as well about the process of what's next omg I feel so good and confident in their work that their going to do for me Keli your awesome I will recommend everyone to this dentist

Dr. Sutton and his staff have all been consistently friendly, professional, understanding, and accommodating. Until meeting them, I used dread going to the dentist. I highly recommend and can't imagine a better place to receive dental care.

Incredible staff always very friendly and courteous from the moment you walk in and even after you've left! Ashton is incredible and so easy to work with as well as Erica who does wonderful work and is informative and all around I really enjoy my experience here! I used to hate the dentist as a kid and it's funny cause I actually enjoy it now, and it feels great to walk out knowing you were taking care of properly and teeth feeling tall squeaky and polished!

A very Friendly and "calming" team, I am not a dentist fan but Dr Sutton and his staff make me feel comfortable and I do truly look forward to my 6 month cleanings. Mar 30, 2022. Still enjoy Family Denistry, Kelli W. and Dr Amy are wonderful and make a trip to the dentist comfortable. The office team treats you like family. The deserve another 5 Stars

I've been going to this dentist for years and honestly, they make getting your teeth cleaned quite a pleasant experience! They really make you feel cared for, it feels very personalized, they are upfront about preventative care, and everyone is really and truly lovely. I've recommended this place to all my coworkers and they have since become clients as well - they all agree that going to Dr Sutton's office makes you smile ... ok that was cheesy and no pun intended lol. But really - never had a bad experience here. Highly highly recommend.

I dreaded going to the dentist before I started seeing Michaela and Dr Ketchem. I recommend them to all my friends and family, to the point that it's been mentioned that it's weird to talk up your dentist office so much. Really excellent facility - timely, accommodating, and friendly.
