Dr. Brian McDowell is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1991. Upon graduation, he returned to the Fitchburg/Leominster area to begin his practice. Later that year, he assumed the practice of Dr. Robert Smith in Fitchburg. He then assumed the practice of Dr. Paul DeLisle and has continued his practice at our Fitchburg location since 1998.
Dr. McDowells philosophy is for our team to care deeply about who you are: your oral health, overall health and wellness, happiness, and self-esteem. He creates personalized treatment options to meet your specific goals and provides the highest quality of care in a relaxed, comfortable environment. Our guests value and appreciate his outstanding dentistry. Dr. McDowell keeps up with the latest techniques by attending several dental conferences each year along with advanced education at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. He has been awarded the designation of LVIF, Las Vegas Institute Fellow, for completing the Core series and demonstrating understanding of this knowledge. Dr. McDowells advanced training qualified him to coauthor the bestselling book A Reason to Smile: Fixing Broken Confidence with Cosmetic Dentistry, written by twelve of the countrys top cosmetic dentists. He was approached by the publisher to contribute his exceptional knowledge on restorative and cosmetic dental treatments such as teeth whitening, dental implants, and veneers so readers can get their questions answered and start working on their best smiles yet.
Dr. McDowell resides in Leominster with his wife, Diane, and his three sons, Justin, Timothy, and Jeffrey. In his personal time, he enjoys skiing with his family during the winter and golfing during the warmer weather.

Gabriella graduated from Salter College as a medical office administrator. She also received training for medical billing and coding. She joined Dr. McDowells team in February 2019 and loves having the pleasure of working with Dr. McDowell. Gabriella likes that the office is progressive with a friendly environment where she enjoys being part of a family that makes a difference in our guests smiles as well as their overall heath. In her personal time, Gabriella enjoys long drives, traveling, and being around friends and family.
Chris graduated as a registered dental hygienist from Cape Cod Community College. She has had the pleasure of working with Dr. McDowell since 1992. It is rewarding for her to work in a progressive, friendly environment where she is able to make a difference in our guests smiles and overall health. In her personal time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her husband, Don, and two daughters, Olivia and Victoria.
Marylisa graduated from Quinsigamond Community College as a registered dental hygienist. She considers herself blessed to have been a part of Dr. McDowells remarkable team since 2000. It fulfills her to make each of our guests feel comfortable and have a pleasurable dental experience. In her leisure time, she enjoys entertaining family and friends and gardening. She also delights in watching her sons, Antonio and Stefano, play sports.

Where can I Begin... Dr.B has been an absolute blessing in my life. I suffer with severe TMJD issues ranging from lock jaw, terrible compressed jaw joints, popping and clicking of the joints, headaches, facial and neck pain etc etc. He is an LVI trained Dentist who incorporates the LVI principles in his treatment plans for his patients suffering with this debilitating condition. I was being seen by another LVI Dentist who was not following protocol where the relationship between us had to part ways. In the process of all the stress, time spent and thousands lost, I found Dr. B... Im so grateful that I did.. He assured me that he would provide me with TOP TIER level of care after all I had been through with the previous dentist and I can honestly say, he has done just that to date.. Dr. B has amazing bed side manner, very down to earth and easy to talk to.. Something that is missing in the medical field today. This was an ADDED BONUS... I am about 95% better and soon I'll be 100% because of him and his Team. I can't leave out the amazing woman in his practice also MaryLisa, Gabby & Christine. You girls Rock!!! Thank you for being so caring & understanding. I know I'm in GOOD HANDS! Thank you!!!!!!

Dr. McDowell is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend seeing him for any TMD issues you may be having. I drive over 5 hours each way for my treatment, that in itself speaks volumes.

Been a patient of Dr. McDowell for about 21yrs now. Never have changed because I like all of the personnel that works there! Just a great and welcoming atmosphere! Also would like to say phenomenal job with processes and procedures in place due to our new Normal in this world! Felt very safe!

For many years I have suffered with multiple symptoms, have seen multiple specialist. I've paid a lot of money with all of these appointments, was told a lot of different things and all I can say is I am beyond grateful to have finally found Dr. McDowell and his friendly staff to help me!

Office took all precautions for covid. They are very careful and follow all the recommended protocols. Dr. McDowell takes time to answer questions and explain. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Always feel welcome whenever I have an appointment. ( Posted by Edith)

Although I am still in the midst of treatment, I have to say that Dr. McDowell has gone above and beyond in his treatment of my TMD, making himself available when necessary and doing his best to provide treatment, comfort, and relief. Dr. McDowell's staff has been excellent to work with as well; I find them very accommodating and in this COVID era, they seem to do everything possible to ensure that they provide treatment in a clean and sterile environment.
