I would recommend Dr Laurence and his team to anyone looking for a dentist. They offer friendly customer service, no wait times, advanced dentistry and the best chair side manner I have seen.

Dr. Laurence is an amazing dentist. First he accepted me as a NEW patient in a middle of a pandemic (my regular dentist never returned my phone calls and one other dentist took the appointment and never showed up...), and then he proceeded to solve the issue I was having. When even breathing cold air sends you to the roof, you don't need to be a dentist to know that there is something really wrong. Dr. Laurence worked diligently to avoid a root canal (I still needed a crown) and even sent back the crown to have it modified to make sure that it would really cover the entire tooth. He even texted me the day after putting the crown (a Saturday!!) to check on how I was doing! I have never, ever had a dentist or any doctor checking like this. After suffering for more than 3 months, I am finally able to "forget" about my tooth. Some residual sensitivities are still there but I was told that there are normal and should go away. I will update the review in 2 or 3 months if these are still there. Many thanks to Dr. Laurence and his collaborators! Update: More than 2 or 3 months later -- Revised to 1 star. Dr. Laurence treated the WRONG TOOTH. He got me a crown that I didn't need. The "residual sensitivity" was the next tooth still untreated, with an infection that took over the entire tooth. The dentist I went to next is 40-minute drive away but he saw the issue right away and treated that tooth. In addition, I got 2 weeks of antibiotics to stop the infection. Not sure what would have happened if I had not visited that dentist. Will have probably lost my tooth. Dr. Laurence is a nice guy but not a great dentist. Sorry.

Dr. Laurence is a gem! I've worked with a lot of dentists, and am delighted with his service. On the faculty of Howard University, where he teaches and conducts research, he remains current with developments in the field of dentistry and is exacting in his work. Gentle, too! The results are truly welcome. I recommend him highly and without reservation!

I recently had dental implants done by Dr. Brian Laurence and it was an excellent experience. He calmed my fears and concerns, was extremely knowledgeable, very professional, paid great attention to even the smallest of details and was not satisfied until everything was perfectly in place. He called regularly to check-up on me throughout the process to make sure everything was alright. The Front Office staff and all the professional staff in the practice were very kind, very professional, and very cheerful. I highly recommend Dr. Brian Laurence and the entire staff at Christina Mills & Associates.

Everyone in the office was professional and friendly. Dr. Laurence was kind, prompt, and attentive to detail. I needed help with a crown and so far I'm very pleased with the outcome. I'm looking forward to changing my dentist to Dr. Laurence.

Best dentist in DC! Dr. Laurence and all of the staff at Dr. Mills office are amazing. Everyone is very helpful and polite. The office has a great family atmosphere and they make you feel very welcomed. I received a cleaning and two sessions of dental work due to negligence of my last dentist. While nervous about the procedures, Dr. Laurence was calming and talked me through it, making sure I was comfortable. I would highly recommend this practice as it is friendly, professional and genuinely concerned for the well-being of each patient!

Dr. Laurence did an amazing job! I went in for a routine check and wanted to fix some cosmetic stuff. He immediately gave me different options and didn't pressure me into anything. Fit me in right away when I had complications. He went above and beyond (and i was a new patient!) I have found my new dentist in DC. You can tell he is very knowledgeable about everything he does and his work shows that!

Dr. Laurence is a great dentist and very thorough in dental exams. He is extremely professional and explains everything he is doing in detail. He even followed up the day after I got a cavity filled to make sure I wasn't having any pain! I've never had a dentist go above and beyond like that! The office is clean and easily accessible to metro and the receptionist is very knowledgeable and ran my insurance before my exam to make sure I was covered! I highly recommend Dr. Laurence and the entire staff at Christina Mills and Associates!

Totally a great experience. Extremely nice and friendly treatment, and above all, top quality service. Dr. Laurence diagnosed my broken tooth, referred me on one of the best root canal experts, and after having the root canal done, Dr. Laurence placed the temporary, then the permanent crown. It's been 3 weeks and it feels great! Zero pain, strong as originally, and looks great. I very strongly recommend Dr. Laurence.

I've been a client of Dr.Laurence and Dr. Mills and Associates for some 3, almost 4 years now and I've had nothing short of a wonderful experience. Wonderful customer service and if anything goes wrong, it's taken care of immediatley. I've recieved a great deal of work including redone fillings, root canal referral work and crown prep./construction/application. It isn't often you find a family owned dental practice, let alone black-owned. With every visit, from Kwame at the front desk to everyone behind the scenes, you feel like you're being seen and cared for by family and for that I am forever grateful. I'd definelty recommend this conveniently located practice to any and everyone looking for top-notch care from enthusiastic dental professionals.

I would like to start this write up by giving the HIGHEST recommendation to Dr. Lawrence. My reviews are always thorough, so please bear with me. I like to highlight how I came across the professional I am reviewing and what makes that professional good - why that individual stands out. Since I am a kid, I developed a fear of dentists! So when I was in my mid 20s, I paid the price of staying away from annual check ups. Such experience taught me a lesson and since then I go twice a year for a dental check up. In the last 6y+ I have been using the same dentist in the DC area. 3 years ago I had to extract one of molars and my teeth shifted. As a result, I did braces (1y treatment) and saw my regular dentist 3x in that year because I was afraid of cavities. Post-treatment I gained an unusual sensitivity, which is normal, and even the topical anesthesia used in cleanings would not help, and I found myself asking the dentist to not clean certain teeth because I didn't (still valid nowadays) tolerate pain that well and he said he would not give me anesthesia for a cleaning regardless of the degree of sensitivity. A year later, the same sensitivity was there. I am not a dentist but I felt something was not right. Plus, coming from Europe, where dental care is more affordable and as good, I felt like dental care in the states is an "expensive hotel" and that nowadays I should not be sweating in a chair or in pain. I decided to see another dentist for a cleaning with my whole mouth numb, and that dentist detected: 10+ cavities, whereas one of them was pretty deep and had been sitting there for at least 3-4y, 1+ root canals, and two crowns that were not done below the standards of what we pay for dental care in the States... That dentist I was seeing was a recommendation and I decided to on my own do research and find the one dentist that would take care of my mouth, and that's how I came across Dr. Lawrence. Someone who comes from a family where other relatives are in the dental care business, someone who is connected to an University - so clearly has patience, and still practices in the business. I have been seeing Dr. Lawrence for a couple of months now (I am still 8 app from being done, but getting close to it), and I really have never found a health care professional as patient as he is, a health care professional who ALWAYS looks for the best interest of the patient, and simply puts me at ease all the time I walk in. Here's two examples that stand out. - tooth #2: post-root canal still had decay left all the way to the nerve. We had to cut some of the gum to be able to remove the decay, and the second part of the procedure took WAY over an hour. Not only he gave me tons of anesthesia to make sure I was numb-numb, he also took breaks so that I could relax my jaws, and always asking if I was feeling ok. He also texted me 24h after to ask me how I was feeling. - I had two crowns done poorly by my former dentist and is going to reach out to him and explain why they should be re-done, and only asking for lab fees (not his fees) for the sake of re-doing them so that I dont have issues years down the road. ALL AND ALL, I really can't speak highly enough of this dentist. I feel all the time I go to a doctor in America - dentist or other, I often get the idea my situation is bad because they always bring up the most expensive treatments and making it seem like you need to do it NOW or else... but not him, Dr Lawrence is down to earth, makes sense of what he is saying. But to me, what I most like about him is how he understands I am afraid of dentists and he is calm and treats me like a patient should be treated; he works on a trust relationship between dentist - patient, and gives me enough anesthesia to put me at ease.

Dr. Laurence is very professional, caring, and kind. Most importantly. he is very good at what he is doing. I was seen by him a few times and he did an excellent job each time. He cares about the comfort level of his patients and the result of his work. He always follows up to see how you are doing after each procedure too which shows how much he cares about his patients. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a dentist.
