Dr. Filbert grew up in eastern Washington and moved to the Seattle area to attend the University of Washington, where he earned his undergraduate degree and where he attended the School of Dentistry. He graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1990. He then was accepted to the General Practice Residency at the University of Washington Medical Center,a year-long hospital-based advanced education program for general dentists. This program included rotations through Harborview Medical Center, the University Medical Center, Veterans' Administration Hospital, and Children's Hospital. This comprehensive program emphasized surgery, pediatric dentistry, and dental care for medically-compromised patients. In 1991, he opened his private dental practice in Federal Way, WA.
He is active intwo study clubs that meet monthly-- one that centers around comprehensive restorative dentistry, and the other that centers around orthodontics. He has completed hundreds of hours of advanced training, including restorative and cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, dental implants. He completes over 100 hours of continuing education each year to support his philosophy of being able to provide as many services to his patients as possible.

My father suggested I go here, he was referred here for a cleaning by his previous dentist out of state. My review is just for the office person, she was the rudest person I spoke to today, out of the 6 dental offices I called. She loudly scoffed/exaggerated annoyed exhale when I said I would be paying out of pocket. I said thank you very much and she just hung up. Not the right person for a front of office job, but glad the dentist is nice to my dad. In response to Dr. Filbert, it's the woman who answered the phone at 11:15 am this morning, 12/9. I'm certain it's the correct number. I have no idea why they would react like that, hence the review...

My family I have been seeing Dr.Fibert for a number of years and he's WONDERFUL! We love everyone that works there! They are so sweet and helpful! I've been so worried about keeping my teeth healthy and he's helped with all of that! Thank you Dr. Fibert and team for making us comfortable and keeping us healthy!

Worst dentist ever!! All the fillings fell out! Don't go here ever over priced and shotty work.. We owed more money and was sent to collections now being sued for a $500 over crown and fillings. I'm very disappointed by my experience with this dentist. I've worked with other dentists and never been treated so poorly. There's a reason they only have 24 reviews and probably all from staff and family. Don't go here ever over priced and shotty work..

I was in a ton of tooth pain and I hate dentists, but I had no option but to see a dentist to yank out my tooth that I cracked on some Chinese candy. And found DR Filbert. They gave me an appointment a week out, normal, but they had a cancellation and got me in the same day. Long story short, they saved my tooth, and I am in no pain. I am actually excited about my next visit for a full check up, since I have not been to a dentist in 25 years.

I had major anxiety about going to the dentist, even for cleanings. Their staff is so comforting and personable. I've now gone to them on several different occasions and happy to say my anxiety is gone!!! The staff is very educated and professional, and Dr. Filbert is maticulous with his work. A great family practice!!!

Dr. Filbert and his staff are always so helpful and accommodating. They fit me in today after my implant crown chipped. Dr. Filbert was able to smooth it out so hopefully it will not need to be replaced for a while.

A well oiled machine! I worked with Melissa and Dr. Philbert, and they were very professional. They left me through what needed to be done, and provided me with options. The receptionist, Tama, is so inviting, and very detail oriented. She is great at helping you understand your insurance coverage, and long you through the billing process.

I grew up attending Brian K. Filberts dental office and I have always loved it. I never hated going to the dentist when I was little and it has influenced me in becoming a dental hygienist (in which I will be). It is always clean and tidy and offer you the best service out there.
