Dr. Brian Saunders is passionate about providing dental care for the young and especially to anxious patients, transforming their fears into positive experiences that can influence their views of dentistry for the rest of their lives.
Originally from Orange County, California, and graduating from Canyon High School, Dr. Saunders attended the University of California, Irvine for a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California.
Dr. Saunders interest in pediatric dentistry started at the Boys and Girls Club of Buena Park dental clinic, a not-for-profit dental office for children of low-income families, where he was the clinic director of the program for eight years after graduating from dental school. He then attended UCLAs 27-month, full time pediatric dental training program, earning his Specialty Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Saunders regularly attends American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry meetings and California Society of Pediatric Dentistry meetings to keep on top of the most up to date information and training in the specialized care of pediatric patients. He is also an active member of the:
Dr. Saunders and his wife Lisa have been married for 30 years. They have two grown daughters: Amelia who teaches elementary school in the Bay area and Julianne who is attending law school. Keeping them company at home is Tripp, a Jack Russell mix and king of the castle.
When hes not in the office, Dr. Saunders enjoys entertaining with family and friends, and frequenting any new or interesting restaurants. You can also find him traveling, hiking, and regularly and reluctantly working out at the gym.

The entire staff is very kind and helpful! Dr.Saunders is simply the best. So patient, and explains everything before he does any work. My son has had multiple fillings done by Dr.S and he still loves going to the dentist! That says a lot, coming from a 4 year old!
