My dental history began in Findlay, Ohio, where I grew up interacting with the profession first-hand in the form of my father; a practicing dentist. After graduating from Ohio University, I went on to earn my dental degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. While at Ohio State, I served as the Team Dentist for all athletic teams.
I have served my community in many ways. I have served as president of the W.D. Miller Dental Society of Knox and Licking Counties and currently serve as treasurer. I am a member of the Mount Vernon Rotary Club. My sense of service has led me to travel to Haiti on five separate mission trips to provide dental care for the underprivileged following the devastating earthquake in 2010. I was honored to be awarded a Certificate for International Service by the American Dental Associations Committee on International Programs and Development.
Dr. Decker graduated from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1991 with the Clinical Excellence Award. She practiced in New York State and Pennsylvania before moving to Ohio in 2014. Her 26 years of experience have given her superior clinical skills in all areas of general dentistry. Her favorite procedures are the complicated ones. I really enjoy solving difficult problems where I need to be innovative.
Dr. Decker has 5 children and runs a mini farm to instill hard working values in her teenagers. She likes gardening, music, crafts and volunteers in church sewing projects for Christian Aid Ministries. She is committed to making her patients as comfortable as possible in the dental setting and caring for each patient as a true friend.
Dr. Morgan A. Straits, is a local dentist who was born and raised right here in central Ohio. She has always been passionate about helping others and giving back to her community. Raised in Brinkhaven, OH, Straits found herself intrigued with the industry at an early age while growing up watching her mother work as a dental assistant. She quickly became interested in the prospect of helping others around her. She has always wanted to come back home and serve her community and is excited to now offer this local and personalized service. In a continuing acknowledgment to her roots, Dr. Straits attended The Ohio State University for both her undergraduate (Bachelor of Science) and graduate dental degree (Doctor of Dental Surgery). In her free time she enjoys the outdoors, fitness, and spending time with her husband and two dogs.

Staff was very friendly. That's about where my positives end. Had to have a crown done - they got me in within 2 weeks. Yet was almost 2 months to get in for a cleaning (which left a lot to be desired by the way! Both the cleaning and the crown) Again, VERY FRIENDLY, but I'm there to get my teeth fixed not an ice cream social. So when there is plaque on my teeth after a bad cleaning, and my crown feels like a clown tooth. I have to go with 2 stars, don't recommend.

Everyone here is fantastic. Came in for an extraction, very last minute and SUPER nervous. Everyone made me feel comfortable and fully explained the process, before I knew it the tooth was out and I was on the road again. Fantastic work, wonderful people. If you need dental work in the mount vernon area, this is the spot!

My 11 year old daughter was visiting family in Ohio for the summer and my mother took her to have a checkup. They said she would need two fillings. They did the work and after her returning to NY, she was complaining of pain where the fillings were placed. I took her to her dentist in NYC and he said the fillings were not properly done- that they were placed too close to the nerve which was causing the pain. Now at 11 years old, she has already had to get root canals on both teeth to fix the problem and pain!! I'm so angry and explained to my family to NEVER take her to get anything done in Mt. Vernon EVER again!! Her teeth have been ruined by this office at a young age. So angry and no response from this office for the awful dental work after over $1000 spent! I'm still working on taking further action, considering I never gave consent as her custodial parent to receive this treatment!

These staff members are above and beyond! They are so caring and compassionate. They truly understand how to help a patient that struggles with fears, and do everything they can to keep me comfortable and calm. I highly recommend!

I have been to a number of dentist over the years and this by far has been the best dental office experience ever! I have frequent appointments throughout the year and everyone from the receptionist to the examining room has been phenomenal! Thanking them for all they do!!!

No one enjoys getting a crown. But two hours and fifteen minutes start to finish made it a manageable experience. The staff were amazing. And who can complain when you have heated massage chairs?!?!

Extremely friendly and caring staff, very professional. I have been in desperate need for getting prepared for DENTURES. I previously attempted this process with a chain dental organization which went horribly wrong. Doctor Howe went to great lengths to explain what needed to be done, taking photos of my teeth and guageing how my dentures should set so my smile would look great. My situation has taken its toll on me for over a year now both mentally and physically, but now because of Dr HOWES' concerned and extremely professional attitude I really feel not only hopeful but excited of the outcome, thank you for caring Dr Howe, and your professionalism. Event though I'm a new patient, they managed to squeeze me in the very next day when I lost a filling. Zero discomfort during the procedure, and new filling feels and looks better than the original. Happy I chose them!
