Brian Hamann DDS - General dentist in Clinton, WI

Whether you're in need of cosmetic services such as dentures, tooth replacements or oral surgery, Brian Hamann DDS can help! Our dental office has been in the business since 2002 and provides small-town care for all of our patients.

Promoting strong dental health in each of our patients is our top priority. Most do not realize just how much of an impact their oral health has on their overall health, and we work hard to prevent unhealthy smiles that can lead to issues ranging from heart disease to pregnancy complications.

It is suggested that patients schedule a dental cleaning and exam every six months, more frequently, if recommended. During the cleaning, plaque and calculus will be removed from your teeth, leaving behind a bright and polished smile. In addition to your cleaning, patients will receive a dental examination to diagnose any potential or existing oral problems in an effort to maintain overall health.

In the event that a tooth must be removed from a patient's mouth, we will utilize the latest methods in tooth extractions to keep the patient comfortable. Extractions are necessary when a patient has a tooth or teeth that are severely decayed, damaged, or infected, with no possible restorative processes.

Crowns are necessary when a tooth is severely damaged or has suffered from advanced decay and cannot be fixed with fillings. Crowns cover the remaining tooth and restore its function, strength, and esthetics.

Root canal therapy is necessary when a cavity has reached the pulp of a tooth, causing an infection of the nerve, or when severe trauma has affected the tooth. Signs that a pulp is infected include; sensitivity to hot or cold foods or liquids, pain, swelling, or even a bad taste in the mouth. For some patients no symptoms are obvious and they are unaware a problem even exists until they are seen by their dentist for an exam. A root canal will be conducted to remove and fill the affected tooth in an effort to eliminate pain and restore functionality.

Porcelain veneers are thin, tooth-colored shells that are used to improve the appearance of your smile. We will bond the veneers to the surfaces of the teeth to correct certain dental flaws. Your porcelain veneers are customized for a perfect fit and natural appearance.

A denture is a removable dental appliance replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissue. They are designed to closely resemble your natural teeth and may even enhance your smile. Dentures are very durable appliances and will last many years, but may have to be remade, repaired, or readjusted due to normal wear.

Bridges can be utilized when tooth loss occurs due to gum disease, decay, or injury. The loss of the tooth can create greater problems for your dental health if it is not corrected. The teeth next to the missing tooth (or teeth) can begin to move and result in pain, discomfort, and can look unsightly. With bridges, we will close any gaps in your mouth. The bridge looks and acts just like natural teeth, is permanently cemented, and helps to maintain the position of the rest of your teeth.

I've been coming to Dr. Hamann for over 10 years and highly recommended him. He has given me a whole new meaning to "Smile". He's always trying to stay ahead of the curve and does everything he can to make things go smoothly. When I had my wisdom teeth pulled he went out of his way to reach out to me over the weekend on a Saturday afternoon to assure everything was going well and be sure I didn't have any questions or concerns. He is also very good with my children and knows them all my name as they walk through the door.
