At Brian Davey DDS, we place an emphasis oncomplete health dentistry, which is integrative dental medicine, reuniting the mouth and the body. Our goal is to make it easy and fun to get comprehensive dentistry to maintain a bright, healthy smile. Below are some of the ways our Torrey Highlands dental team does that:
Dr. Brian Davey comes from a family of dentistry. His uncle, who was also his mentor, was a pediatric dentist. He recognized early on that Dr. Davey had the skill, both technical and interpersonal, to become a good dentist.
Dr. Davey has been designated as a Fellow for the Academy of Oral Systemic Health. He was also recognized as a Top 10 General Dentist in San Diegos Best Union-Tribune Readers Poll (2019). Previously, he was awarded the 2014 Doctor of the Year for Next Level Practice Complete Health Dentistry, also earning a leadership award.
Today, Dr. Daveys mission is to enhance peoples lives through health, wellness, and fun. He believes the mouth is connected to the body, the body is connected to the family, and the family is connected to the health of a community. With that knowledge, his mission is bringing together the medical and dental community to collaborate for the greater good of San Diego and his patients.
In addition, he is the founder and creator of the San Diego Academy of Systemic Health (SDASH). In 2018, he won an award as a leader of complete health for creating SDASH and for working toward his 2020 goal of making San Diego Americas healthiest city.
A Southern California native, Dr. Dovey completed his undergraduate work at UC Santa Barbara and dental school at WesternU College of Dental Medicine in Pomona. He graduated near the top of his class and has been inducted into the prestigious national dental honor society, OKU. His philosophy of dental care involves providing friendly, high quality patient care, in a comfortable setting while educating the patients on the importance of complete whole body health and wellness.
He met his wife, Emily while in Santa Barbara and moved to San Diego several years ago to be closer to her family. They have two young daughters and he enjoys spending quality time with family, camping, snowboarding, and enjoying all of the outdoor activities San Diego has to offer.
Dr. Henninger graduated with a B.S. in biology and chemistry from the University of South Carolina in 2001 and received his D.M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2006. He completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital that focused on oral surgery, dental implants, and dental sedation.
After his residency, Dr. Henninger served as a Dental Officer in the United States Navy for 4 years. During that time he served aboard Camp Pendleton, on the USS Boxer, and at Naval Medical Center San Diego. Dr. Henninger currently practices full scope general dentistry with an emphasis on dental implant reconstruction and dental sleep medicine. He is also one of 10 restorative dentists in the country IVsedation credentials and is a California Dental Board on-site examiner for this services. He maintains hospital staff privileges at Scripps Memorials Hospital Encinitas.
Dr. Henninger is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and has been certified as a Master of the College of Sedation in Dentistry by the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and as a Qualified Dentist by the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Society.

This was my first appointment at this clinic and it was great! Christina and Dr. Dovey were amazing, friendly and efficient! I needed a new filling/cap on my front tooth and they completed it within a short time frame and I am very happy with the results! Victoria at the front desk is also very friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend this clinic!

Had the most wonderful experience here! Victoria is the sweetest ever, so helpful with any questions I had, very accommodating, and so fun to talk to. Rachel is so nice too she cleaned my teeth, was very thorough, and made sure I was comfortable. Dr. Davey is awesome he gave me great dental advice and is very knowledgeable. Such a cool guy! Veronica and Kristina were amazing as well helping with my cleaning and my cavities. Everyone made sure I was taken care of. Overall an incredible place to improve your smile (:

I always receive great care from Dr. Davey. I have spine issues and issues with turning my head. Dr. Davey and his staff always take the time to make me as comfortable as they can with pillows and maneuvering around my neck issues.

Dr Davey's office is truly the best! My family has been seeing him since he open doors in 2003 He has an awesome staff who are always friendly and helpful. Today I was desperate to get my daughter in because she was having tooth pain. They were able to get me in the same day and fix her all up!

Amazing people and dental care!!! Help guide you to your best dental health! Update from October 2022: Still have an amazing appreciation for Dr. Davey and hia team! Cleanings are very thorough and all other work is always done to perfection with care. I had a little filling recently and I had no idea he gave me a local (shot) until after it was done. I felt nothing!!! I'm still a huge fan of this office and team!
