A native of Valdosta and a 1999 graduate of Valdosta High School, Dr. Hester began his dental career in his fathers orthodontic office as a lab technician. He was accepted into dental school in 2007 and graduated from The Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree in 2011.
He is extremely grateful for the privilege to help improve and maintain the smile and self-esteem of so many patients. He is dedicated to maintaining the highest quality of dental care available and engages in numerous continuing education courses each year to ensure that his patients will receive the highest standard of care.
Dr. Hester is a member of several professional associations including the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Southwest Dental District, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Hester married his wife Hayley Thomas of Valdosta in December of 2009. They began dating when both Dr. Hester and Hayley were enrolled at the Medical College of Georgia. Hayley received her Masters Degree in 2008 and has practiced Occupational Therapy since. Their first children were Caleb, a Maltese mix and Maximus a chocolate Labrador.
Dr. Hester and his wife Hayley reside in Valdosta and have two beautiful young children. Dr. Hester and Hayley are also members of Crossroads Baptist Church. Hayley also serves as a volunteer for The Haven as a member of the Board of Directors. Dr. Hester has volunteered in our community for LAMP and Partnership Dental Clinic. He also volunteers as an assistant coach for the Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks & Recreation Authority. Dr. Hester and his family enjoy traveling, Disney World, and the beach.

So thankful for the staff & Dr. Hester. They went above & beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I was nervous & upset but they were very patient with me. They walked me thru everything. I definitely recommend a 10/10. If you're looking for a dentist Brett Hester is the place to go!

During the last ten (10) years, I have received numerous treatments for nerve pain in my cervical spine, head, neck and upper shoulder areas. My treatments included: physical therapy, steroid injections, and disc replacement surgery. The replacement surgery worked very well for several years, but due to deterioration in adjacent discs (for which surgery is not recommended at this time), I have had additional steroid injections and ablation procedures for nerve pain with little to no relief. During my routine visit to Dr. Brett Hester, I mentioned my neck/muscle pain problems and my inability to get sleep, even with muscle relaxers and non-steroidal medication. Dr. Hester mentioned Botox Therapy might relieve some of the pain I was experiencing. After discussing his suggestion with my neurosurgeon and receiving her input, I asked Dr. Hester if he was willing to administer the Botox Treatment. Thankfully he said yes! Now, three weeks after the Botox injections, I have significantly less pain in my neck and shoulder muscles. I have almost eliminated my use of muscle relaxers and pain medication, and I am sleeping better than I have in years. While I know the treatments only last three to four months, this treatment is the best I have had in years. Thank you, Dr. Hester! Randy Sanders

If you are looking for the best dentist around, Dr Hester is the one. After having some dental work, I hit a bump in the road and Dr Hester and his staff went above and beyond to handle the situation until they could get me back in the office ASAP. From the very first appointment when I stepped in that office, I felt as if I had known Dr Hester and his staff my whole life. Everyone there is nothing short of amazing. We need more dentist like him and I am thankful for the opportunity to be one of his patients and not only that, but a friend. I could go on and on calling out names, but would be afraid of leaving someone out because everyone has been great. All I can say is "Get you a dentist like mine!"

Dr Hester and his staff ALWAYS go above and beyond in making you feeling comfortable and at ease. I would never go to another dentist office ever. Dr. Hester makes the visits easy and nearly painless, even with getting the shot. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Hester and his staff to ANYONE needing to see the dentist. I'll just start with this. I'll never go to any other dentist in valdosta. I got 6 teeth extractions yesterday and I'm nearly speechless at how quick and effortless the procedure was. I expected to wake up in excruciating pain, but I've never felt better. I will take the minimal soreness over the throbbing pain my teeth were causing me before. Brett hester is patient and funny and actually takes the time to listen to your concerns.last but certainly not least THE STAFF, they were a breath of fresh air compared to offices I've visited in the past, i can't find enough words to describe them, kind,respectful,patient,reassuring,charming, just phenomenal genuine people.They make you feel welcomed, like a family member they haven't seen in a long time, needless to say i can't think of a better place to spend my hard earned money. Absolutely wonderful staff, very polite and very professional. You feel like a part of a family when you are there. Dr. Hester is a true magician, truly magical when it came to working on my teeth. I can not say enough exceptional things about Dr. Hester as space will not allow . . . just that my smile is back and my teeth have never looked better. EXCELLENT experience yesterday with Dr. Hester and his staff. His office provided excellent customer service today and during the previous 3 times I spoke with staff prior to today's appointment. Shannon, the hygienist, was awesome! She made me feel at ease and was very professional and thorough. She actually took the time to look over the paperwork I completed. Dr. Hester reviewed my x-rays, answered any questions that I had and really took the time to discuss a course of treatment. COVID precautions are in place prior to you entering the building. Staff will come to your vehicle and have you complete paperwork in your car. Your temperature will be taken and you will be asked a series of questions to determine possible COVID exposure. Once you enter the building, ALL staff are wearing masks. It is apparent that they are concerned about your safety as well as theirs. If you are looking for a dentist who listens to his patients, who cares about their dental health, and has a practice that provides quality customer service, please give Dr. Brett Hester's office a call.
