Dr. Mankad graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA. She worked in a group practice in Pennsylvania for 3 years before starting Brentwood Progressive Dental with Dr. Amor Tiburcio. While she didn't mind the snowy winters and humid summers she moved to the Bay Area with her husband.
Dr. Mankad loves to learn and is always advancing her practice by continuing her education. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry but really enjoys the personal interaction with patients that comes from trust. 'I treat patients with the patience and respect I would want someone to give my mother or father. So, I listen first to what patients want and what their concerns are and only after that we decide what the best course of action is together.'
Dr Mankad also loves to give back to the community and has spent many hours volunteering at CDA cares events. When not being a dentist, Dr Mankad is also running biking and swimming around the Bay Area.
Dr. Tiburcio graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia PA. He is an East Bay native. After working in Philadelphia for a few years he came back to the Bay Area to be closer to his family and further from the snowy winters and humid summers. He has worked in offices in the East Bay but started Brentwood Progressive Dental in 2008 with Dr. Ila Mankad to proudly serve Brentwood and surrounding areas.
Dr. Tiburcio is a certified Clear Correct Provider, completed a mini residency in Implant dentistry and is always learning to advance his practice so he can offer the best to his patients. He loves to volunteer and give back to the community he has been active in Give Kids a Smile and CDA Cares. He has volunteered many hours of his time for helping patients get the dental care they need.

Dr. Mankad, Dr. Tiburcio and staff are friendly, gentle, and caring professionals. Over the years my two children and I have had many visits all done without problems, stress or discomfort. Dr. Mankad is extremely competent, meticulous, and skilled in dentistry and patient care. Her communication skills are exceptional and she does a stellar job on her cleanings and treatments. She uses the latest techniques expertly and I have never felt any discomfort from any of her procedures. I am very pleased with the care that I have received. They place an important emphasis on preventive care and have always provided quick care when unforeseen dental issues arise. The care I have received for so many years has given me a peace of mind that whatever dental care is needed in the future will be provided with the same professionalism. This office is modern, warm and friendly. The staff seems genuinely happy to be there, and it's easy to see why. They have state of the art equipment and an excellent appointment notification system. Like someone else whose review I just read, it's been a couple of years that my husband and I have been patients here. We are very pleased and plan on continuing to come here. Another dentist in Brentwood who we tried first, after moving here, was quite problematic. It can be a very different experience, one practice to another. We are happy here. One thing I personally like is that Dr. Mankad completely understand that I want to take excellent care of my own teeth and I want to be proactive to have healthy teeth and gums. She's very supportive and gives me great ideas.

I am approaching my one year anniversary here at Brentwood Progressive Dental, and I have to say that I am so happy with my decision to choose them for my dentist. I never really knew anything about dental hygiene or what it takes to make sure that your teeth or gums are healthy until I found this wonderful practice. Mr. Tiburcio is amazing! He is very good at explaining what needs to get done and sets out a game plan for you. Not only that, the entire staff is fantastic. When Vanessa calls me to remind me about my appointment, I feel that I am the only one that gets excited to go to the dentist because its such a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend this office and dentist to anyone! Please, dental hygiene is important!
